Was recommended to Billy's by another local NAPA dealer. I drove 17 miles to Billy's hoping to discuss a problem with my car and get it repaired. I arrived at 12:20PM and was told the mechanics were out to lunch and no-one was available to talk to me. I then drove around and came back at 1:30PM (appx) and was then told by the same grumpy receptionist the all the mechanics were too busy to talk to me. With all the competition out there I imagine the owner wouldn't much appreciate the attitude and loss of potential long term business from a local. His repair work may be exceptional and reasonable but I'll never know. read more

I've always had good experiences with Billy's in the past. Unfortuately, it seems that my luck has changed. I had a serious issue with my VW Passat and towed the car to Billy's on a Friday morning. They were busy and told me that they wouldn't be able to look at it until the following week. I called back on the following Tuesday evening. The car still hadn't been looked at. I was told that someone was sick and somebody else hadn't shown up for work. If only I had taken this for the sign that it obiously was and picked up the car at this time.... The following Friday, after one week, I finally got a call back and was given a phone estimate of $1,500. That seemed reasonable and I asked how sure he was about that number. He said it was pretty firm, it just depended on how many valves he had to replace. I asked again if he was quoting me $1,500 now and was going to charge me $2,500 when I picked it up. I was assured it would be near the $1,500 since the valves were only $22 (or so) each. I called weekly over the course of the next 5 weeks. They never bothered to contact me with a status report. I was always told that they were waiting on this or that and that they would call. Two days before hurricane Irma was supposed to hit - five weeks after I had dropped the car off, I got a call that I could pick up my car. I told them that I had made my hurricane plans already and that they didn't include the car. After some discussion, they agreed to keep the car over the weekend. Finally, the following Friday - six weeks from the day I dropped it off, everyone had power and Internet again so that they could take credit cards. I went to get my car back and was presented with a repair bill for $2,500. I believe that Billy's has violated Florida law by not informing me that the repair cost was going to exceed the estimate by more than 10%. I don't know what else to do about it other than to warn others to prevent this from happening again. read more

I have been using Billie's auto repair since the 1980s. They took care of my Buick. They took care of my jeep. took care of my Nissan and now he's taking care of my Honda CRV. This time I had a flat tire and it looks like I ran over a garbage pile full of screws. Somehow or other there are seven that we can count and possibly more there is no way the tire can be repaired so I spoke with Mark. we have to order another one and they're so careful measuring the tread and knowing that I only need one new tire that the other ones are all OK. He has it ordered and it will possibly be here tomorrow or Monday. He told me how to use my car how to drive with a spare, set a time and what to watch for. I have never been disappointed or upset I think that everyone of them knows what they're doing and also able to assist each other. I have used other dealerships that have not been helpful or come up with a clue or an answer. So, guess who I'm going to take my car to. And the receptionist, she is great, never forgets and keeps the schedule intact . WOW read more

I cannot say enough good things about Billy's Auto Service. I had what I thought was going to have a very expensive repair with my 10 year old Impala (had feared the worst with a bad head gasket). Not wanting to take it to the dealership again, I was fortunate enough to find Billy's online. Although they were *very* busy (which was a good sign!), they managed to look at my car the day I had it towed into their shop. The next morning, I got a call telling me it was only a $160 repair, parts and labor included. HUGE relief! These are extremely competent, reliable and HONEST people. I took my car to Billy's due to all of the GREAT reviews on YELP. BIG MISTAKE!! I had a leaking radiator, Long story short they replaced the radiator and installed a new fan for a total of $961.00 I dropped it off on a Friday and picked it up on a Tuesday. That night while driving home the car overheated and I had to pull over. I called up the next day and agreed to drop it Off that Friday. They had the car all day Friday and when I called the guy answering the phone just gave a ton of excuses. "I'm really shorthanded." "what it looks like is a possible blown head gasket." I told him well this would have been good to know a week ago. "Well there was no way to detect that before." What am I going to do here by now it's Friday again I call the guy at 4pm and this time the guy tells me "I'm sorry my secretary has been out for two days." "I have some tricks I can try." "If we have to take the whole thing apart could run you around $1200. So needless to say I pick it up Monday morning and the thing overheats that night.
