I emailed and texted and when the coach finally responded, she agreed (after I asked for a refund). She put my daughter on semi beginner court. It's a waste of time and money. The clinics were not designed to improve any skills, the objective was to fill up all the open slots on the courts. Very disappointed.

It definitely needs a regular deep cleaning as it wreaks of urine, but it also smells like mildew, and no amount of cleaning is going to get rid of that smell. That's going to require an improved ventilation system. To be honest, it's bad enough that I bet the health department would shut down the club over it. Another thing I noticed is that the water fountains behind the stairs haven't been cleaned in months, if not over a year. The amount of rust and scum build up on them is horrific. I will continue to use the gym merely out of convenience, but as it stands, I wouldn't recommend this gym to anyone who values cleanliness and sanitation.

I went with a friend to a Sunday afternoon aerial yoga class! We were so excited to find Joya who…read moreoffered this type of class so we could try something new! Upon arrival we walked in and it was so empty in the front room. We waited a while and peeked around at the merch but no one came to the desk and the class was starting soon so we wandered into the back. We found the only room with silks hanging and entered, the instructor was incredibly off-putting and cold. She didn't welcome us, or even look at us when we approached her to intro ourselves. She scolded us for not checking in properly even though no one was in the building to tell us. She put my friend and I in far apart spots and when we requested to be near each other she huffed. The class itself is a whole lot of fun. Being new to using silks, the instructor explained the movements well and I felt confident in executing new moves. After she felt out the class she even walked us through a more advanced upside down movement. There was one student who was clearly very advanced in aerial yoga/acrobatics so the instructor had him do the majority of the demonstrations.

He absolutely loves swimming and I love seeing him progress to be an independent swimmer one day. Today he said "I like coach!" Coaching a fully grown man who is terrified of drowning is not easy - physically or mentally, but ASA has somehow made it possible and I now enjoy being in the pool. They have a well thought curriculum tailored for individual needs. They are so very thoughtful on how they build comfort and are always encouraging to hit milestones which I could never otherwise imagine. Given where I was, I will be thankful to ASA and my coach my entire life to have made a meaningful attempt to learn a life skill.
