The staff/employees are all very nice, personable, and more than willing to help you with anything from finding certain products to suggesting what would be the best thing to buy. Great experience for a Wine Tasting on Friday night! Laura and Noah were the instructors, and they have the program down pat. The tasting room is at the back of the store and set up with high top half tables set for four. We had four, so it was great. We chose the back near the food spread, which looked awesome. Laura indicated she had done the shopping for the charcuterie spread. It was perfect for the wine tasting; I felt the food items were a great pairing with the South American wines. I marveled at the tasting pour spout on the wines so the exact amount was poured for everyone. Pretty cool. Both Laura and Noah did a great job on answering questions as they were pouring the samples. Laura was very knowledgeable on the presentation on screen and confident in her dialog. I learned about growing grapes in the South American regions, the grapes, and the wine. We ended up tasting 9 different wines ranging in price from $9.99 to $24.99, all very reasonable. Total Wine is the perfect place to run in for gifts. There are literally options everywhere. From wine to liquors to beers. Total Wine is the Cadillac of Liquor Stores. They know they are the best and have the confidence to prove it. Free Samples anyone? The prices are higher than other area stores but they also have more. Many of the finer wines and champagnes are behind lock and key. There is even more cameras rolling in that area of the store. If you are looking for a very special bottle ask an employee to help you. This location has many local beers available for grab and go. Some of my favorite things are the unique mixers, spiked cherries, and discount on 6 or more bottles of wine. I love coming to this location. I've been to a few in the area and this is by far I believe the best. They have a big parking lot that's easy to get in and out of. Once you walk in, there's always someone who greets you or offers you a hand to help. If you need help, there's always someone that will be able to help you or at least get you to the right person that will be able to give you the best selection. Wide variety of wines, liquors, and canned beverages. They do have cigars, but it makes a loud buzzer once you walk in. So if you are a noise sensitive just keep that in mind. I will say being a member I enjoy shopping here more than other places because I can get a really good deal as well as use coupons that I have. Never had a really bad experience and I also enjoy coming to the classes that they have. read more

Prices similar to the big box stores, like Costco, but the service is unmatched. If you're looking for a recommendation or have a question, don't hesitate to seek out an employee, if they don't check in on you first. Want to try something, chances are pretty good they will pop it open for you and give you a sample. I have found them to be very knowledgeable and when they don't know the answer to something, have gone to find the "right" person to help. The first visit I expected nothing more than a Walmart of wines, but the reality exceeded my expectations. The seemingly vast inventory was similar to Walmart, true. The regularly stocked high-quality items at a competitive price is like W. But the TW is a more handsome and warm place, a place to browse a while, not dash into and out of. Another adventure with the BF. We had to check out their selection of alcohol and products since I was scouting for Christmas gifts. I was looking for gift sets and Apple Crown since it seems to be the BF's new drink. The store is HUGE, to say the least. It's neat and clean. We only encountered an employee at checkout that was very friendly and informative. They offer a magnificent variety of liquors. I mean we saw prices from $.59-$1,000.00. They offer beers from around the world. The BF found a Japaneese beer he wanted to try in a single. Another place that offers a wide variety of single count beers starting at $1.79 a bottle. I can't remeber if I saw Smirnoff singles starting at $1.29 or not. I was intrigued by their vast selection of moon shine. They have snack options such as pretzels, cheese balls, assorted nut mixes, pub mix, cheeses, salami, olives, crackers and pork skins. Also they have a wide assortment of non-alcoholic items: iced teas, godiva chocolates, cheeses, cookies, glasses, buckets, cocktail mixes and accesories. Total wine and more is exactly what It says except even more. It's the size of a Walmart with only things you WANT to buy. With that all said you would think their prices are crazy but actually it's cheaper than almost anywhere else you can grab booze. Like I said, the Walmart of alcohol. They have tastings and an app for deals of the week etc. They also have a rewards program which is pretty decent. 15% off already fair if not good prices I can work with that. Clip on the app, type in phone # at the store and typically if you forgot your coupon or something they will adjust the price for you. Not always but typically. So overall I have nothing bad to say about town wine and more. They have long hours and short lines. You can get in and out with your goods or take your time and enjoy a semi experience (it's not like you paid for a ticket or anything" I have an update, its now 4/28/23. So everything I wrote above I am not going to take it back because its true. Every review I write are accurate and unbias hence why there are many people who read them. With that said I have to update my revie w now. I have never been as humiliated and treated so poorly as I did by the manager Greg at this store. I was going in for an interview because I liked the store so much. He called me on Tuesday and we talked basics. I even mentioned I didnt mind what they decided on for pay because they seemed like fair individuals and I tld him what I ade at my last job. So he asked me what day I could come in for an in person interview. I said Friday, he said thats ok sounds goood. Then I said how does 1 sound? And he said sounds great. So today, I show up at 12:55pm and I walk in and right up to the customer serice desk excited. IThey ask how they can hep me and I said I am here for an interview with Greg. They point to him and I walk over to him and say hello and and stick out my hand for a shake. He just looks at me and says I had you in the books for 11am. I said, umm Greg, no you asked me when I could come in and I said this day and this time, you didnt chose this time. And he just continued staring atme and saying uhhh well. And granted there are 3 other members of his staff standing right there whiel he just stares at me and doesnt offer anything further. Just ket saying I have you in my calendar at 11. If I am here exacly at 1 dont you thnk I know what time we ahreed on? Regardless, even if he misunderstood in his mind or wrote it down wrong that is exactly ero reason to ebaress someone in front of a group of people and then just stand there saying I had 11. So I finally break the silence and say ok... wel obviously its a slight misunderstanding, not even blaming him or saying for sure it was 1, just basically saying ok, well its 1, I am right here, you called me about this position. And all he says is " if you cant show up on time for an interview how are you going to show up on time for work?" And thats when I just said thanks for your time and walked out. IF YOU CAN HAVE AN INDIVIDUAL LIKE GREG AS YOUR STORE MANAGER, at 13887 Manchester Rd, Town and Country, MO 63011, who would be so unbelievably disrespectful to someone coming in for an interview then I can only imagine the upper corporate management. My wife and I went to look for some wine she likes and I some spirits (Vodka and whiskey). The store was large and packed floor to ceiling. First issue, wandering around we finally located the wine section she wanted to check (Greek wine). It wasn't that obvious AND since the stacks went floor to ceiling apparently no one came forward to offer help. They also didn't carry the wine she wanted. While over at the Vodka I could not find what I was looking for but there were others I was interested in. I tried to get on the free wireless so I could look up some reviews but no luck. Also, the few employees that wandered by never asked if I needed help, they just kept up whatever they were doing. So we left empty handed. The only employee we chatted with was in the gift area. I mentioned my frustration with the wireless and she agreed that it sucked (her words). Why offer it to customers if it isn't going to work? Really disappointed to write this but I'm fairly new to total wine as I work in California and some items you can get with apps that deliver. I do go to the one on Brentwood and they are very helpful and if you are standing around for too long they will ask if help is needed. On the 10th my brother birthday, I found that they carried Armand de Brignac Ace of Spades. I was not able with delivery to have one delivered in time so since I was that particular area I wanted get this and some other things I see they carry and I saw their selection of super Tucsan ;Sassicaia and Ornellaia. Awesome . So walking in I went to the area which requires assistance and I wavered my hand and I assumed maybe those in the area of the checkout cannot help and anyone stocking maybe they can't and I'm short so maybe they didn't see me. I walked So I went by the area of the Don and ace.. still same. I didn't mind and walked around and picked up some things I don't need but I found stones ginger wine and only one bottle so I was excited about that as well as some other international items I get out on holiday. I saw more workers than customers and I was I'm sorry the only person of color and with big hair... you can't miss me besides the height. I stood and one girl stocking wine looked and it was a guy with a cart I believe to be putting items back but this was the same guy I viewed throughout the store, (maybe he assumed I was going to steal, I needed assistance so )I said " heyyyyy" as in I need to ask a question... I thought maybe I'm light on my voice maybe that it. No I literally put everything back and I asked whomever that was at checkout where to put the basket and they stopped and looked as if I had something with me complete neck turn, I stated " I put everything back you don't have to worry about me taking anything from here". I'm about to drive to the Brentwood location just to purchase the champagne because of their customer service. I surely know the items I was planning on purchasing were more than the few customers that were there. They literally were saving me overnight charges for a gift. I want to preface this with a known fact I don't drink. But people I know do. I came here looking for an obscure Napa Valley wine. Now this wine is rated very high but the winery is somewhat small. I saw a gentleman walking around in a gray sweater who worked there. I asked him how do I find out if you handle a specific wine. I asked for Frogs Leap. He without hesitation said yes and do I want red or white. I was somewhat surprised he even knew the wine much less that detail. He walked over to a computer asked what I wanted(which was a red Zinfandel). After a few moments he found it in the computer walked over to shelf it was on picked up the wine and handed it to me. This was my first visit and I was super impressed! They have a huge selection of beer, wine and liquor. Everything was very neat and clean and the prices are definitely comparable to other similar places I've been. We didn't interact with the staff much, other than to check out, but our cashier was friendly. Though I am traditionally more of a beer person, I loved looking at the different wine glasses and accessories they had. You could outfit a cute little tiki bar with glasses from here. It is certainly a good place to stock up if you're having a party. If you want to sample a certain kind of vodka, this is your place. They had tons of tiny little bottles of all kinds of different vodkas on a huge display by the check out area. There was a small table with a woman by the entrance where you could sample a few different wines, and though we declined, it's a great idea! I will definitely be back. read more

Just wanted to share this with anyone who is interested in purchasing non-alcoholic products at this store, as this situation came as a surprise. My wife and I (both well over 21) regularly shop at Total Wine, and have always been treated well. However, we decided to go today to purchase a specific bottle of non-alcoholic wine, and had a much different experience. We are quite aware that Total Wine IDs all consumers- we usually bring both of our IDs for this reason, but my wife did not have her ID with her today, and I had mine. When we reached the checkout, the cashier informed us that we would both need to present our IDs in order to purchase the non-alcoholic beverage. We did not complete the purchase, and left as we were told. If this is the policy, it needs to be stated more clearly. This means that anyone under the age of 21 could not be allowed to purchase ANY goods, even if it is a candy bar. While we appreciate your diligence in not selling to minors, it makes zero sense to deny a purchase for consumers that do not need to be a specific age to purchase (i.e. non-alcoholic beverages, chips, cups, etc.). Unfortunately, we will now be looking elsewhere for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in the future. Very frustrating. read more

I came here for the first time last night to checkout the store and to see what they offer. They had a very diverse selection of wine, hard liquor, and beer. Along with beverages they offer many goodies to go with your liquor products - cups, glasses, mini-fridges, decorations, etc.. The store was extremely clean and easily accessible to gather items. They do offer a wide variety of each type of liquor - from your cheaper products to high end beverages in the couple thousand dollar range. In other words, the store is as expensive or cheap as the type of product you are looking for. They also offer classes on beer and wine which I though was pretty interesting and something I might look into. I had mixed feelings of the staff members; the people on the floor seemed more interested in stocking than asking me if I needed help, while the lady at the register was very friendly. read more

The customer service here was leaps and bounds above the Brentwood location. In all fairness the employees at the Brentwood location were very helpful and nice, the managers there....not so much in my experience. This location seems to have a win in both managers and employees. I'm actually greeted every time I come in...imagine that?! In the Brentwood location I was tersely told when I arrived ten minutes before closing "We are closing in ten minutes!!" Here I did not feel uninvited when I also came a few minutes prior to closing. In fact I was offered assistance and kindness. Alex at check out was the best. He was very helpful and recommended a way to make a cocktail that I had never tried before. Thanks Alex!! Also they don't take Apple Pay or any 21st century payment methods. Total wine is a total bust and their prices aren't that good either for a large box liquor and wine store. read more

While the selection at every Total Wine & More is consistently good and widespread, the service seems to vary at each location. I wasn't very satisfied with the service that I received from this location when I came here on Friday afternoon. I looked everywhere for a specific cordial and didn't see it in the section where I thought it should have been. I went to a cashier at the front of the store and asked him if they had it. He got on his walkie and asked if someone could show me where it was located. This woman at another register then yelled out, "it's on the back wall". The associate who was assisting me asked if she could show me and she declined, and again spoke to me saying it was on the back wall. I advised that I had looked all on the back wall in the Cordials and couldn't find it. She just said "it's over there". She gave no other directions than that. No "it's on the top shelf", no "it's toward the right". Nothing. No one aided me in locating the item, but I did find it, no thanks to anyone. When I checked out with a different cashier, I found it odd that the employee did not hand me my bag. he left it sitting there waiting for me to pick it up. I don't know if that's protocol or not, but I didn't like it. I had a few different heavy bottles, so some assistance would have been nice. Excellent place for wine lovers - they have several different, varied wines from all over the world. Loved the way they assign each wine according to each country, city, type, best sellers, new arrivals, employee's favorite and so on - very easy to navigate through the store. Hard to believe it, but they do have wine aged in used barrel that was used to age bourbon - very delicious and smooth! We typically go shopping there monthly and their point program is excellent - we had a couple of coupons every other month or so. They simply need to enter your phone number at the checkout then done, points added into the program! They do have tasting on varied drinks including special beer, wine, liquors and so on at specific day/time of the week. This place has every wine, beer, and spirit you could desire. They have staff suggestion and favorites on items in almost every aisle. And if you can't find what you're looking for because sometimes that happens with so many options, the staff is more than happy to assist you or suggest something similar if for some odd reason they don't have it. Total wine is extremely well organized and a lot more inviting than some of the other similar stores. And most of all their prices are the best. We drive 35minutes out of our way for the service and prices we get at total wine. Visit them before you visit the others next time. read more

This place is hoping! Grand opening and great deals! We found almost everything we wanted except for one of my favorite wines, however they said they would try to get it on the shelf! If you get 6 bottles of wine you get 10% off, great deal if you know what you like (said they will always have this deal available) I was surprised with how nice it is inside. Most large alcohol stops do not look as high end as this was! They also have a room towards the back that they do tastings etc. I will be signing up for some classes. For my wine, beer and alcohol, I will be heading here. We compared prices with prices of a few other large stores and we found the best prices here, don't miss out! This is a good store. First, the selection is fantastic. They have hundreds if not thousands of different wines, beers and liquors. The even have a humidor room for cigars. I asked if they had a particular wine, and they didn't, but the offered to get it for me. The interior of the store is very nice, a lot more enticing than Friar Tuck's. The thing that I thought was cool is their create your own six pack. Friar Tucks has this, but you can only choose from about 150 beers; this costs $10. At Total Wine, you can pick any beer in the store. Awesome! The down side is depending on what beers you pick, it could cost more; my 6 pack cost $13. I have to give them credit though - none of the beers in my customized 6 pack were available in the create your own 6 pack at Friar Tucks. Despite this, their other prices appeared competitive.
