When I walked into Total Wine & More, all I could say was 'WOW - AMAZING'. The wine section was amazing . I'm more into whiskey, bourbon and rum. and could not believe all the different brands on the endless shelves. The staff is super knowledgeable with all the different whiskey & bourbon - I asked for Blue Run Kentucky straight, the knowledgeable staff member walked right over to the brand I wanted. This is a chain and I really like to support local stores like, Cedar Bluff Liquor (Shout out!) BUT, when my local guys didn't have what I was looking for, they sent me here. They also carry local/regional breweries, which is cool. Prices are hard to beat here. People aren't as cozy as your local shop, but I people are usually helpful when asked. They have a loyalty club but they don't amounts to discounts on booze in TN, so do or don't, but sometimes you earn a $5 coupon for non-alcoholic stuff. read more

I have three young children. Chaos is the norm in our home. Therefore, Total Wine is my happy place. Their app is amazing and allows you to order ahead and get it brought straight out to the parking lot and plopped in your trunk...or strapped into the toddler carseat like precious cargo. The store is very well-organized, has some fun promos for the reward program, and a 16% off case deal, dependent upon the size of your booze bottles. When COVID isn't a thing, they have tastings and classes at their tasting bar. You can also find a great variety of glasses, cups, mixers, and small bottles for gift baskets and such. We are thrilled to be near a Total Wine once again, after several years in OH only having Walmart to purchase from nearby. read more

I have been a customer since day one opening in Knoxville TN. We love your store and have taken many classes on spirits and wine. However lately, this one lady that handles whiskey has been obnoxious. I have had two trials with her at K-Town, and it's just not good at best. I'm saying, she's been showing me as a lone woman that I'm not important to tastings and she is reluctant to give tasteings and her demeanor is just ' I don't like my job or the people that come here" is the vibe I have receieved from her two times in the last 6 weeks. It's a little pricey on some things. It doesn't carry everything (Not that it should) and it tends to ignore emerging trends. It has a tiny selection of Gin & Rum for instance. I still can't see how to order stuff they don't carry but other stores in the chain do carry. Hopefully this top secret process will be explained to the masses because its not obvious or easy. Large liquor store. If they don't have it you don't need it. Free samples just inside the entrance. That was fun. Also, some of the bottles are marked "try before you buy at the tasting counter". Overall, I really like Total Wine. The selection is great and the prices are great as well. Usually I go to the store alone, but I was shopping with my 20yo boyfriend today and thought it would be okay if he came into the store with me to pick up some items that I am unable to find anywhere else. Drove 35 minutes to get there. We went to check out at the counter and were asked to show ID, so I said I'm buying them I'm 21 but he is not yet. There was absolutely no signage on the front or on the website that said he was not able to come in with me and they refused to service me because he's underage. We left and went to see if they had the items at another store, they did not. I decided if he wasn't with me when I went in the store again that it would be fine as I am 21 and he will not come in with me again. I get to the counter and explain that I drove far to get there and could not find them anywhere else. They said i have to wait 24 hrs before they could serve me and that it's a TN law. Been looking everywhere for that law, can't find it. read more

First visit to this location and it was just like the others: clean, great selection, and reasonable prices. I was looking for a specific bottle of wine for a tasting event and had researched it online to see that they had it in stock. I found it quickly and didn't require any staff assistance on this trip. The store itself is located in the Turkey Creek shopping center, so there's plenty of parking. They do a great job with Covid-19 safety measures, including several disinfectant stations around the store. read more

First time visiting this new huge store. Located in the old HH Greg store it has almost everything you could think of regarding beer, wine and liquors. They have tasting every Saturday so check out schedules for what might be up for those. Beer tasting and such a large selection of beers, national brands, local and global ones. Also impressed with the gift packages they had and many ideas for those who love great wines, quality liquors and craft beers. If you have not walked through this place yet, the time is now. Hey! So I'm not 21. I walked in with my OF AGE girlfriend. She wanted a Wine, but they would not sell to her because I wasn't of age and "everyone in the party needs to be over 21". Which would've fine if that was posted anywhere around the store or in the store. She said "It's posted on our website". I checked.... it's not. The site is really difficult to check out on. It took quite a bit to actually get in all the instructions and credit card information. Plus the selection of delivery times is difficult because if the times you pick are not available you have to go back a few screens and repeat the process. The delivery times should let you know right away if they are available or not right when you pick them. But after all is said: The wines are great!!! read more

Buyer Beware. Yesterday I selected a bottle of bourbon clearly priced on the shelf at $53.99. At check-out it was $70. I walked with a worker back to the shelf to verify the pricing, which he picked off to reveal a $64 price. We returned to check-out only to have him "verify" the $70 pricing! I have been procuring my wine and spirits at Total Wine & More since it's opening. The store is bright and incredibly clean (including their restrooms), the aisle are wide and the signage is clear. There are literally thousands of selections. Their customer service is outstanding. Each employee is friendly and are willing to make recommendations or even to order something that is not in stock. Not only do they have wine and spirits, they also have an ample selection of mixers. One of the funnest things here are their educational classes held in a tasting room at the back of the store. And to quote several current Democratic Presidential candidates, "Here's the deal ..." you can't lose anything here. If the "fee" for a class is $20, at the conclusion of the class, you receive a $20 Total Wine gift card. If the class is $50, you receive a $50 gift card and so on. A schedule of all classes can be found on their website or you can pick up a class schedule at the store. Classes fill up quickly. The speakers are always informative and experts in their fields. It's not only interesting but entertaining as well. Great addition to the Knoxville area. read more

I was looking for something specific so I went on their website to find which isle it was in and to see if it was in stock. When I got there the shelf was empty and almost immediately Noah was ready to help and asked if I needed anything. He looked up if they had anymore in stock and found the crates with more for me. Total disappointment! This big box wine/liquor store promises a huge selection. But, its service is severely lacking. I went one evening with my wife. Both of us are 40 and have kids. Not the type of people who look like underage kids looking for alcohol. Anyway, after spending time picking out wine, I get to the check out and pull out my ID. The clerk sees my wife and says, "I need to see hers too." Since my wife hadn't driven and wasn't paying for anything, she left her purse at home. The clerk said, "well, I can't sell it to you then." The whole episode was pretty insane to me. What if my wife had been in the car or in another part of the store? Indeed, I even offered to have her step outside while I paid. Alas, they still didn't care and said they couldn't sell it to me because they saw her with me. They claimed it's the law (something I seriously doubt). The whole thing is beyond stupid. I've been in grocery and wine stores with my kids before. I've seen other people do the same. Never has this been an issue. Anyway, the place has attitude and is just another big box. I suspect they'll comment on this with a canned response and ask me to waste my time calling their 800 number. That's what you'll get by shopping there -- corporate BS (not that all corporations are bad; many aren't). My suggestion: Go to one of the local shops like Campbell Station Wine. First visit 5/22. Blown away by the size and selection! Wandering around, Dave, Assitant Manager, approached and offered help. He gave clear, concise coordinates for everything we wanted, said to ask any subsequent questions, and moved on. Not only did we find everything (and more) we wanted, the prices were unbelievable compared to what we have to pay in 'bama! On our return (5/26) we stopped again. This time, we couldn't find a bottle of Buffalo Trace. Suddenly, there's Dave! He remembered meeting us, welcomed us back, and promptly located a bottle cleverly hiding in the back of the shelf. This place is always pristine and everything is well stocked and in the right place. They have employees all over the store who are super helpful. I've typically only been there on weekends and they have samples. YES - samples of the alcohol. I've tried different types of wine, liquor, and moonshine. I've bought one of the wines from the sampling before. I appreciate the samples because it gives me a chance to try something I probably would never just pick up and buy. They also have THE CHEAPEST prices in town for beer, wine, and liquor. I find it pretty unbelievable that the place is so nice, the employees are so helpful, and their prices are so cheap. I would also recommend taking these free booklets they have around the store. I have the one on beer and mixed drinks. They are surprisingly very helpful - especially since they're free. These little books rival anything you'd purchase. Finally - they have a room in the back. Before COVID, you could reserve it for private events. I'm unsure if that's the case during the pandemic. If I could give -0 star to this place I would!!! I have visited this establishment on several occasions and was never treated like I was on today. My spouse and I were checking out and the cashier asked for both of our IDs. I did not have mine with me, but I was not paying and my spouse had hers. We were informed of some BS policy that we both had to present our IDs. Where was this policy the last few times we came to the store!!! Yet I saw another customer that a baby with them. Was the baby going to have to show ID? Or would child services be called because they were purschasing alcohol with a minor present?? I honestly feel discriminated again because I have NEVER heard of such BS! I would steer clear of this store because they are full of crap! read more

Can't tell you how disappointed I was with total wines today! I have had good experiences and bad experiences here but today was by far the worst and I will be contacting the GM about this. My husband and I shop here often, sometime we bring our children with us, now my kids are not young at all, definitely someone who should be carded when making a purchase but old enough to purchase is they wanted to. (Over 21) I have no problem if you want to card me at the register at all, but they have also been carded just for being with me at the register which I find frustrating as they are not the ones purchasing, I am they just happen to be with me because we are running errands. So today we were walking in the store, neither of my girls had picked up any bottles or were pushing the cart that had 2-3 bottles in it, one of the little carts. We were still in an isle looking at different products, had not even made a move to the register yet when one of the manager comes up to me and asked for my ID, I was a little taken aback , I have been carded at the register no problem but never have I ever been approached while still shopping! I then explained that the two young women with me where my daughters, she seemed a little shocked by this, then started to try to make excuses saying things like, well I only saw you from behind and didn't realize they were your children, she said if she had seen my face it would not have been a problem, so she is assuming that we were all under age? Maybe she should have actually approached me from the front and she could have seen my face. She was making assumptions that had no bases . She then tried to make an excuse that there were no managers up front to card me when I got up front, I told her I had never been carded while still actively shopping and I was not real happy about that. So basically what I'm being told is I can't bring my children into the store with me because they look like adults but one is not, otherwise we will either be a harassed while shopping, or B refused service completely .
