This is an amazing liquor / beer / wine store! It is the Home Depot of adult beverages. I was looking for ginger beer to make special cocktails - though I was miles away from this place I was told that they would have everything I needed, and they did! I was really blown away by the specialty beer aisle as it was broken down by region ("German Ale" section was extensive). Each beer had a tag which described the flavors, ingredients, process, and alcohol content. They also had special end caps devoted to Cinco de Mayo - these included Mexican beer, tequila, and all ingredients for margarita making, as well as party staples like chips and salsa. Don't waste your time joining their terrible rewards program! It isn't that you have to spend a ton of money to get a little cash reward but rather they wipe out all your points at the end of each year so all of us who are snowbirds for many a month, and many purchases, really never ever get to use the rewards. It's quite the rip off program ! read more

Disappointed to find prices higher on my selected items then at my local publix. Usually, I can find someone to provide help. Though it wasn't busy at 5:30, the help was not there. First time I've taken a trip to the total wines and left without a purchase. Maybe the service is only good early in the day. Who knows! read more

1st time today did a pickup curbside. Flawless experience and very much appreciated.

Have been a customer for years but I just called to see if they had any wine boxes that I could have. They said that I could pick up 2 at a time. Why would I waste a trip for 2 boxes? There are plenty of other places to get wine boxes. Horrible attitude. No longer a customer. read more

wow!! How to feel like a criminal. I walked in to Total Wine where I always shop and asked the first person who had on a Total Wine Shirt if they had boxes I could have as I am moving. He pointed to the wall and said " You can take them from there" OK - Great! how nice. I take a cart and ask one of the cashiers if the boxes have inserts. She said some of them do so just look thru. Again - very pleasant. So I take about 1/2 doz boxes and head out the door. The Manager - who's name I di not get - jumps in my face- grabs the cart from me and rudely tells me only two allowed. I am in shock - he is so rude and all the people inline are looking at me like I am a thief. I asked him why none of the other staff told me about the 2 box limit and he just said two boxes only and practically shoved me out the door. What an embarrassing moment! I will NEVER go to that store again. read more

Beware of bait and switch coupons! They won't let you use the 10% off coupon - even for the non-sale items. Save your $$$ and go to BJs liquor up the road. You don't need to be a BJs member to shop there. read more

Decent selection that is squarely skewed towards their exclusives. Total Wine is, as aforementioned, the Home Depot of liquor stores, which is to say a category killer. This store has already closed most of the nearby smaller chain stores (Crown & ABC). That means less competition, never a good thing. Most of the staff are nice and somewhat helpful but the service overall is marred by pretentious, half-trained know-it-alls who actually know quite little but aren't shy about being condescending to their customers. "That's not real Champagne" we were excitedly lectured while shopping for a well-known California sparkler. The poor dear then went on about the woes of SS vat fermentation - more information than I needed to know, and knew. Stick to sales. Good beer selection though. read more

If you go here and Donna is your only option for a cashier, just leave. She treats people who are younger than 40 like they need to have their IDs double and triple verified. Each time that I have ever gone here and she was my cashier, she looks at my ID, looks me up and down, and they reluctantly proceeds with the process of completing the transaction. I'm 34. This evening, a young man in front of us had an out of state license and she stated that she would need her supervisor validate the ID. (Shocker) But, then she looked at my husband and I next in line and stated (without looking at our IDs or remembering were frequent shoppers) that she is going to need him to validate our IDs as well. I completely respect the need to see IDs to be working accordance with liquor laws. I always have my ID ready and usually give it without asking. The lack of tact by this employee is appalling and should be avoided to prevent a negative experience by all shoppers. If you are having a great day or celebrating an occasion and you see a grey haired woman hiding her name tag under her collar, check to see if her name is Donna and then evacuate her line. If she's the only cashier that evening, find another store. read more

This store may have it all.... Customer service is very low! I have been going to this store for years, and apparently today I was treated very badly with disrespect! I normally pick up boxes to reuse. Today out of all the days, they decided to only allow me take in TWO boxes---- even though they have plenty of empty boxes! I send in my spouse to pick up TWO more and they refused him TWO-- only gave him ONE!!!! Customer service is first and today gave me the answer that your store gets ONE rating, not TWO! read more

I'm in from out of town and looking for some craft beer that I can't get back in Colorado. The staff that I encountered in the beer aisle was friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to choose from lots of regional selections at good prices. I'm very glad to have found this place. read more

The first time I walked in here I was blown away. The inventory is unlimited. Any and all kinds of ways to get your buzz on including unique underground beers and all kinds of booze. I can see hitting the lottery and shopping here like a kid with a $1,000,000 toys r us shopping spree. The downside, and reason I rarely go in there. Some of the staff(most) are the snobbiest , most stuck up people I have ever encountered. I'm not a professional alcoholic so I don't know everything to know about every bottle. If you have a question it's a gamble....50/50 chance the person will be helpful or......a total snotty prude. Even though I'm white I get a weird sense of racism within the staff towards minority customers. It's not so much the floor, but the people at the customer service square up front. The blonde haired really skinny older lady really seems to hate her job up front. The prices are ok...might save a buck on a bottle, but get some soda and it's close to $3 bottle....???. My advice. Go in , make it quick and simple, and avoid talking to most staff, which I've noticed changes dramatically ...wonder why? read more

Can't help but feel like I was bothering them. Even at the checkout there were so many boxes in my was I couldn't get out of the store. I asked the woman behind the courtesy desk about a promotion I saw advertised but she gave me attitude so I ended up buying much less than I normally would have. I was looking for a certain wine and the man stocking shelves had no idea where it was. I think I'll try Palm Beach Gardens from now on. I hope this is a franchise. read more

We went shopping for some champagne as a gift for some of my staff and colleagues. I was shopping for Veuve Clicquot Brut, Taittinger Comtes de Champagne, and Krug Grand Cuvee. These are favorites of mine and enjoy giving them as gifts. When I was taking the Vueve Cliquot off the shelf a sales person asked if I needed help. I said no thanks-I know what I want, she proceeded to tell me that the changed the way they make Vueve and is no longer a good champagne. She professed to be an expert and tried to step me to Mailly Brut (really?). I asked her where the Taittinger CdeC was. She never heard of it and suggested I look in the Premier area in the front of the store. I wheeled my Vueve C to the front area. I quickly looked over their Premier Grand Cru Bordeaux selection (anemic at best) and made my way to the Champagne area of the cabinet. Another sales rep approached and before I could ask if the had the Taittinger or Krug, knowing what I already wanted, he VERY SNOTTILY and in a very PSEUDO WINE SNOB manner told me that I should upgrade my selection to Mailly if I wanted good champagne. He actually spoke down to me! I didn't solicit an opinion. He spoke with the authority of a twenty something that had a week or two of company training in the backroom of the retail location. I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with that,everyone starts somewhere, but keep your opinion to yourself unless asked. What he didn't know-he made up. I sold fine wine and liquor for a decade and a half in the New York Metro market servicing high profile clients . I spent another half decade as a wine futures buyer. I was schooled by some excellent Sommeliers and industry experts over years. Why do I mention that? I, nor would anyone that I worked with, ever talk down to a customer as both of these sales people did. You never know who you are speaking to and everyone deserves respect whether they are buying a $4 blended Zin or a jeri of '61 Lafite. If you're going to pull the SNOB thing on people-make sure they REALLY know what they are talking about and beef up the selection in your premier selection. If not- don't SNOB out on people that shop in a store that advertises thousands of wines under $10. You're NOT all that. Also-based on their suggestions-Buyer Beware. read more
