This establishment has a lot of spirits and alternates one could think of. I stopped in specifically for a few spirits that I couldnt locate else where. The website stated it was in stock but drove here to find it out of stock. The staff here are pretty helpful and patient. I have found the prices can be pricey depending on what you get. Ive gotten items at my local spirit shops much cheaper. Therefore, do some shopping around before depending on one store. All in all I will return in the future if needed. read more

I have been here to attend a few of those tasting classes at this location. Came by for the Sips of the Season class on a Thursday night. The parking lot was not crowded as it would be on a normal day. Found a parking spot right by the entrance. Went right upstairs to the tasting room. This one is smaller than the one in Laurel but it's still large enough for about 45 people. The instructor for the evening was Jimtastic. He is very enthusiastic and entertaining. He definitely brought some high energy to the class. I don't know much about wine so this was a great opportunity to try new things and learn a little. Fun times and a great idea for a group outing or a date night. read more

Took my first class with total wine. Initially I attempted to schedule a class with the Laurel location but they're always sold out so I decided to try Towson since I remembered seeing it when I was in the area the week are so prior. They had different types of classes than the other location and the tequila and mezcal class caught my eye. Our instructor, Jim was the right man for the job. He tied in some current news and facts which gained our curiosity and started building trust from the group. We learned the fundamentals of tasting tequila and went on a journey from cutting the flower to charcoal filtering after aging. From this experience, I would definitely recommend any classes with Total Wine. read more

This location has been typically price a little higher than the Laurel store, has less inventory, and less parking than Laurel's location. The curbside pickup is more tight and not as speedy as Laurel's experience and anytime I've had a question for their floor staff, they aren't certain where I can find things. They seem a bit more chaotic and overwhelmed at this bc location than Laurel's store experience but they are always packed, so they're doing some things right. LOL. read more

We just love this store! What also appeals to us is the free sample stations, usually as you enter and 1 or 2 near the middle of the store.. they are there to introduce you to wines and other beverages( Fri evening and Sat afternoons) . A service they offer if yours is out of stock, they can call the warehouse and see if they have any of that particular wine. Often it is there and they can get it to you quickly. The inventory is varied and well stocked and the employees put customer serrvice first. read more

I bought a keg from Total Wine and rented a tap from their Towson location. Unfortunately, the tap was completely broken. The seal was missing, and it looked like it had never been cleaned (see photos). We did not discover this until the night of our Halloween party, and as a result, we could not pour beer for the first couple of hours. We had to scramble to find a working tap from another store during the party. When we returned the tap the next day and explained what happened, the staff refused to give a refund and only offered a $20 gift card. For a store of this size, that level of customer service is very disappointing. They clearly do not check or clean their rental equipment, and they were not willing to take responsibility for the issue. I would not recommend renting a tap or buying a keg from this location. read more

I've been a loyal customer at Total Wine Bayshore Glendale Wisconsin for years, spending thousands of dollars on wine for parties and events. This morning I ordered wine gifts online, picked up the first order in-store, and a few hours later re-ordered a couple more bottles after confirming the second recipient drinks wine. My wife (we're a married same-sex couple) was out running errands, so I called the store and offered to provide any information needed to prove it was my order (order number, details from the morning pickup, etc.). Staff refused, citing Wisconsin state law against 'third-party' pickups. Even after I explained she is my wife, they became combative and insisted she could not pick it up unless she had the exact same last name. They offered no solutions whatsoever, no option to cancel and re-order, nothing. Their employees were no help at all. What a complete waste of time today. To top it off, the bag they gave me with my first pickup was ripped and unusable when I got home. That was the last straw. We will never shop at Total Wine again. There are plenty of liquor stores in Wisconsin that actually value their customers. Total Wine feels too big and corporate -- it's all about the dollar, not the customer. I highly recommend shopping elsewhere and supporting local businesses instead. Extremely disappointed after years of loyalty. read more

So I went for one of the tasting classes. This one was called rum for one and rum for all or something along the lines of that lol. We had to check in and then find our seats after that we helped ourselves to a shared charcuterie set up and the class started. It was a 90 minute class and we were able to try eight different rooms all 0.5 ounces. everybody engaged in the instructor was very informative. I went as a solo date and for $20, You can't beat the price. At the end of the class, you have the option to buy any of the rooms that were provided in the tasting . I have two more classes lined up. If you were looking for something to do that is quick and a different experience than this is the place for you. However, if you aren't looking for informational sessions, then you may not like this place as it is very detailed. I wish we were given a little more for each tasting, but I understand they probably didn't want us to leave intoxicated lol. read more

Total wine always has such a good selection. Now that I am alcohol free, I appreciate their options of zero proof beverages. It's not as much as you would get from a dedicated zero-proof bottle shop, but it is an entry point! There is always someone around to help find things if you know exactly what you came in for or have at least an idea. For other items, such as cups, glasses, and other alcohol related props, they can be on the expensive side, so I'd recommend going some place different if you can swing it, but it is there for convenience purposes. read more

The staff is consistently friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They have gone out of their way a few times when I have needed something that may have been in a box on the top shelf or to help me find a rare gift item. The staff engages with customers. The atmosphere is overall lively. Some evenings there's a strong sense of community in the store. Customers of all backgrounds are talking and laughing with one another. Of course, this may be attributed to the tastings, but people seem to simply enjoy chatting. If you are in a hurry, the cashiers are efficient. Also, I enjoy the education provided if needed on the various regions that produce the spirits or wine. I truly learn a bit more about the world on each visit. Total Wine also has plenty of nonalcoholic options and some interesting snacks. Shopping at Total Wine is a fun experience. read more

Should be Total Scam, not Toal wine. They sent us a coupon on 29 Oct for free delivery. we TRIED to use it on Oct 30, it expired 31 Oct. We met the requirements of the coupon. After several attempts, Coupon didn't work. Big surprise. My wife put the order in and called a manager the next day. He didn't understand why it didn't work. However he could not honor the coupon. The location is a bit weird. It is on a semi hill. Navigating this location is a bit troublesome. But, if you get past all of that, you will have fun here. It is surprisingly large inside and they have a lot. The ceilings are lower and it is a bit darker and dungeon-ey compared to the Laurel location, but you're here for one purpose and one purpose only - get alcohol. The staff here is helpful and nice and pretty much everywhere you go, someone will approach you and ask if you need help. This was great and reassuring since there is just so much here to go through. I personally come here when I see some friends in the area since I am 40-60 mins away from any Total Wines. To me, this is just okay because there are better options in the DMV area. I love that I can get some options that are not in my local liquor store. But, they do not carry everything and I am still trying to get some of the harder bottles. read more

Total Wine is the largest wine store I've been to. Amazed to know there's an even larger Total Wine shop toward the DC area. Everything you want they have. Store is arranged like a grocery store with multiple aisles, each labeled off with the type of wine. Then it goes into alphabetical order by the brand name. First time hear. I was in the area so decided to check the place out after hearing about other reviews. There is a free one level parking garage for this place, including spots infront of the door. Prices seemed typical of other local wine/beer stores. Nothing really stood out for me. There was no way to EXIT the building unless you went thru the registar lines, which were long enough and not really worth the wait if you didn't purhcase anything. I tried to leave out thru the Flap Exit doors and was told to Exit by the registars. smh. Another guy came out and instructed us that we could leave using the IN door. He was helpful. All of the workers were actually pretty nice and offering help if/as needed. read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had in a liquor store, just asking an employee about where to find a certain gin. I asked if I could ask him a question because I wasn't sure if he was busy, his response was "you just did ask me a question". With a straight face. And I'm like okay, can you help me find an extended release bottle of gin? He looked it up and they were sold out. I asked if he knew anywhere else to find it because it's a limited release. On the weekends you can come in and try all of the samples its just this time when you leave you will have a slight buzz and not a 300 pack of Charmin. I give this location 10 stars in customer service. Every employee spoke and asked me if I needed any assistance, and when I did needed help the reps went out of their way to help me with my purchase. I came to find the Pride 2020 bottle for a gift, after my husband found they had a limited quantity. While there, I started to look for that Peach Crown Royal, and there was not one bottle. I have been to many total wines. I have also been in states/cities without total wines. Since I have been in Baltimore I have been dying to try some local beer. I came late on Sunday and found a can of local-ish beer. Today I ran by a taphouse and got a local beer, but Total Wine had exactly what I needed cans of local beer. I went to Total Wine this morning to stock up for the holidays-- it is, after all, that drinking time of the year! I found parking in a tiny spot way too close to other cars but whatever, this place is always super busy. I arrived just as they opened at 8am and the store was filled with workers restocking shelves and blocking many aisles. It was very difficult to maneuver my giant cart of booze through the store without having to say, "Excuse me" like a hundred times. I suggest to Total WIne that they restock in the evening after hours or in the morning Before the store opens. This way customers can at least have better clearance through this massive place. I could not wait to get out of here. There were other things I wanted but I will leave it because the cost of looking was too high. read more

Excellent! Best place for all your alcohol needs. Vast selection, obviously, but literally you will probably find an obscure beer or fancy whiskey that you couldn't find elsewhere. When you need to go on a bender, where are you going to go? A small local store where they know and judge you (and hit on you) or a large superstore where you can covertly stock up? I found this place by chance. I was looking for my favorite beverage at a better price, so a Google search led me here. Since I was going to be in the area, it seemed to make sense logistically. Even using the GPS in my car, I completely missed the place because it is overshadowed by Ethan Allen furniture store and Comfort Inn motel signage. If you drive past too fast, it is certainly easy to miss. The parking is somewhat horrendous. While there is designated parking for the establishment, this place is very popular. It was as busy as the most popular grocery or big box store. It took me about 15 minutes or more to find suitable parking without using the Comfort Inn or other establishment's parking. Once I found a preferred corner parking space, it was only a short distance to the store. When I walked inside, it was quite overwhelming because they have a little bit of everything, so the store certainly holds true to its name. There was a small wine tasting going on in the back of the store, but the selections did not appear very appealing. Not only do they have a large selection of beverages, they also have a lot of customers. The store is actually set up like a grocery store in terms of having a number of checkout lanes. I personally have never seen anything like it. In spite of the large number of people, I was able to receive assistance to go exactly where I needed, so I could get in and out. The checkout process was pretty efficient and just like any other store, there were other temptations at the register to make impromptu purchases. They also have a policy that I really like, so this is a place that I will go out of my way to visit for my favorite wine. Other than the parking, I would certainly recommend this store. read more

They have a huge selection of craft beers that you can get by the case or make your own 6-pack. Each craft beer and cider is also rated for your convenience if you're buying a gift for someone & they also have an educated "specialist " in each section which is helpful. They carry local MD wines as well as wines from around the world. There are often classes or tastings offered at various times by local breweries and vineyards and others I've not been too yet. Additionally they have multiple sizes & brands of other alcohol,(Maker's Mark, Vodkas, Tequilas, Rums, various liquors). These items also have a rating like the beers & ciders & if in question there's always someone available to assist with selection. The prices are great. You can get a specialty bottle of craft beer from $2-$30(this being a unique brew). Wines run the gamut from the $7 bottle too one in excess of $1500. I highly recommend this place especially for large gatherings or holidays. They have carts available for you to fill with all your favorite items! read more

If i could rate them a 0 I would. They discriminate against disabled people. I was at the Total Wine with my carer. I wasn't walking well that day, I am physically and mentally disabled, lost my license and have put in for a new one with the MVA. My carer was actually the person purchasing the alcohol. The manager at Towson after carding my carer told her she wouldn't sell to her because I (a person that wasn't even in line) was seen with her and didn't have my ID. I told her i wasn't the one buying it. (I don't drink) but I could show her my ID on my phone and prove that one was on the way. No dice, so then my carer drops me off at home. 20 minutes away. She drives 20 minutes back wasting gas and time walks in and the manager tells her she won't sell to her on site. Won't let her explain that I am not even with her just tells her to leave. Please don't buy from this place, I can't believe they treat people like this. read more

Waited a very long hold time on their toll free "customer service" to add person's name to pick up my order and they didn't even do it despite asking my life story (and his) on the call. customer service lacking- I did the onsite pickup and didn't see I received the wrong item until my event., unfortunately. When I called ( after 5 attempts to have someone answer the phone) they apologized and said I would receive expedited customer service when I returned. I provided a time frame and explained a need for assistance with my cae of wine return . I then proceeded to haul the incorrect wine into the store, wait 35 minutes in line at customer service to once again explain and rectify the problem and haul my case to my car as a senior citizen. So, poor staffing and poor customer service really negatively impacted my fondness for this store ( it was in a quiet, mid morning time frame midweek ) I will look elsewhere for my wine selection and support read more
