Recently had my first baby and went to Total Woman throughout my whole pregnancy since I was delivering right at the hospital. Masks always worn. Ladies at the front desk are friendly and so are all the nurses. I usually saw Dr. Evans who is awesome...the drs rotate...Dr. Horlander handled my actual delivery. I've always been able to get appts that were convenient. A few times I was in the waiting room for awhile, other times I've waited 10 minutes. read more

I was satisfied with my appt, but it certainly wasn't worth the $398 initial visit fee I was charged and had to pay. So new patients on Medicare, please be aware!! I signed a form agreeing to pay for the charges not covered by Medicare, but had no clue the charge would be $398. Had I been told the extreme cost up front, I would not have made or completed the visit. I will not be going back. read more

I've had weird luck with doctors offices -- a few have been fantastic, but the rest definitely left me wanting. Happily, Total Woman is part of that first category. I've been impressed and reassured by their great service and actually am sad that they are not part of my new insurance plan. I discovered Total Woman through my best friend, and I liked how all of the physicians are women. (Men can also make great OB/GYNs, but I just feel more comfortable with a woman.) When I've needed next-day appointments, they've gotten me in. And I've loved the friendliness of the head staff, especially Charlotte Kurtz, a physician's assistant. All have been easy to talk to and informative. They definitely don't talk down to you, which I appreciate. The office is also great about phoning in prescriptions within an hour or two. If it's routine, they won't pull you in for a visit and co-pay. I hope I can find an office just as good as Total Woman with my new insurance. read more

I've been a patient here for a few years. They're located in the Norton Women's and Children's hospital on the fifth floor. I always enter through the parking garage so I can't tell you where to enter the building from the outside. I've only had to get in there on short notice once or twice and it wasn't difficult to see one of the Nurse Practitioners. I will say it's very difficult to get in with my primary Dr. Wilson on short notice. I now see a Nurse Practitioner for all of my well-woman visits simply because I can get in and out of the office in a quarter of the time. When I would see Wilson I'd be there for 2+ hours. All in all, I like this practice. Just be prepared to wait. read more

Let's me honest, no one likes going to the OBGYN for their annual exam. I have popped around Louisville looking for the right practice for my needs. Today I met with Dr. Bell. She was FANTASTIC. She took the time to get to know my needs and made me feel very comfortable in a V E R Y uncomfortable situation. My entire visit exceeded my expectations. All the staff members I encountered were customer service oriented, efficient, and provided great care. I was in and out in less that 40 minutes and even made my appointment for next year. The MyNorton Chart made storing all my medical information a breeze. I'm sharing my experience in case another woman is on the hunt for a great OBGYN like I was! read more

The only reason this practice gets a 2.0 and not a 1.0 is because Dr. Leigh Walsh is excellent! The 2.0 is due to the over scheduling, Mis-scheduling, lack of customer service and OVER one hour waiting room visits. Firstly, every doctor I've dealt with there was been extremely professional, kind and knowledgeable so that's where the two stars comes from. Some of the other staff is equally as professional and kind however, I've only visited this office twice and each time I have experienced judgement and most recently, someone making jokes about what I told them to another coworker. I won't be coming back because doctors offices already make me a little nervous and being met with any sort of judgement is extremely comfortable at an OBGYNs office. I didn't really feel safe here after those experiences. read more

I like Dr. Grundy; however, I will not return to the Total Woman practice in Louisville due to the ongoing nightmare their billing and office staff has created for me over the past 6 months (involving incorrect billing, lost time, unreturned voicemails and phone calls from the office staff Dodi and her supervisor Elaine, as well as financial hardship). Lab tests, part of my annual well woman exam, were sent to two different testing facilities that were non-participating with my insurance. Charges of approximately $100 should have been billed as preventative and thus been covered by insurance; however, they were erroneneously billed as medical or diagnostic labs and I'm receiving pre-collection billing notices from 2 different lab companies. At the time of the testing, I requested the results be submitted to Quest, participating with my insurance, and the lab tech agreed to do so. I was advised by the billing office that Dodi in the office would need to rebill the lab charges as preventative, the same coding as the well woman exam performed the same day, which would change the coding submitted to the labs, and the services would be covered by my insurance. More than a month ago, I left Dodi a voicemail and waited several days. I did not receive a return phone call. Over the course of a month, I called multiple times and left other voicemail messages for her which were also ignored. At the 3rd or 4th phone call, I asked for her supervisor. At this point, Dodi did get on the phone, promised to look into it, call the lab to see what billing coding they were using, and said she would call me back that day or the following business day. I waited more than 1-2 weeks, yet again, and had received no return call from Dodi. I then called and left her another voicemail and called back, requested her supervisor Elaine, and reached her voicemail, and left a message. This entire week has passed and neither have returned my call, yet again. Surprise, surprise! The lab did call me back today and admitted that they felt I was getting the run around from the office staff of Total Woman. However, she reiterated that their hands were tied. If the gynecological practice refused to bill the services as preventative with the well woman exam, she apologized and told me that there was nothing she could do to help me either. She commiserated that I was correct, yet I would need to pay off the $77 bill with their company before it is turned over to collections or begin making payments on it. I will be looking for another gynecologist other than this practice immediately and determining how I can run this concern up the flagpole at this practice and beyond. This is a terrible way to run a business and will not be my practice of choice going forward. read more

I went in as a new patient last week with Dr. Bell. She is amazing and Im so glad I found her. My appointment was at 11:50 and I was in and out of the office in less than an hour. That is unheard of!! And Dr. Bell did not make me feel rushed or act hurried. She was thorough and considerate. And they have a sign at the desk telling you to let them know if you have been waiting for over 30 minutes. What a great experience! read more

Dr. Salerno is amazing! My first time there and she was very honest and open with me.

I've been going to this practice for the last 16 years. Over that time my needs have changed (typical yearly check ups and pre/post partum care) and I have encountered a lot of their practitioners. I'm always treated with kindness and receive great care. I've never felt rushed or dismissed in my appointments. Their office is nice and they offer all the services I need in their location. With the parking garage parking usually isn't an issue (unless there is snow/ice and the top part is blocked, then be prepared to hunt for a spot!). My only complaint is that sometimes you have to wait for some time to be seen. I usually counter that by being one of the first appointments of the day or not scheduling something right after my appointment. read more

First, let me say...I love Dr. Bell! She's great, so no wonder there's a wait for well over an hour when you get there for your appointment. She takes her time and you don't feel like she's rushing you! However, I feel like if I have an appointment at 11:20 am and I arrive at 11:10 am, that I should be seen no later than 11:45 am (meaning the doctor is walking into the exam room). On my last visit, I waited over an hour and half from the time I walked in the door until I saw the doctor! I don't know what causes these delays! It's unbelievable and I've never waited this long for any doctor in my 34 years of living (with the exception of the ER). I will be back though, just because I am so pleased with Dr. Bell and her approach to issues. You bet I will be making my next appointment the earliest one they have available though! I just feel like there's less chance of starting off that far behind! read more

The dr I met in the hospital PP didn't introduce herself as a dr from the practice. I had no idea who she was. I asked a nurse later if a dr would come check on me, she said she already did. The dr that talked to me didn't examine me. Just asked if I was feeling ok. Two weeks AFTER I had my baby I got a phone call from the Drs nurse. She was concerned that I'd missed two dr appointments. Which would have made me 42 wks pregnant. They apparently don't communicate or simply look in my chart. I've since had issues with getting in touch with anyone. I've left 2 messages (Monday & Wednesday) have yet to hear back. My baby is now 3 months old and I have yet to get back on birth control since they are out and are re ordering, you would think as a obgyn you would stay on top of that. A bunch of little things but to me they add up. I'm looking for another dr. read more

Dr. Case is wonderful. She has great bed-side manners, can think on her feet, and is very motivated. Seriously, I don't think I've seen a better all-around OB, and this is from someone in the medical field. The nurses at Total Women are hit or miss. But the staff are great. read more

I have been a patient of this office for over 15 years and have not had any real issues. My prescriptions are filled in a timely manner and DME request was processed same day. I am usually seen within 15 mins of arrival especially early in the morning. I have my favorite providers like Wilson, Schweichler and Meagan, and Knapp but they have all been great. read more

Dr Wilson delivered my third child and they are great with checkups.WHAT I HATE about this place is the office staff, you call to make an appointment and tell them exactly what you need, they DO NOT listen to your needs or concerns. Been at Total Woman for 2 years. While trying to get pregnant, then to having my child, and recovering from a severe case of pre-eclampsia and slight case of HELLP. The Good: They are very accessible. Any time I had a concern I could reach someone. They are all nice, so no matter who you end up with in the hospital (and I ended up seeing ALL except Dr. Bell - although she did my son's circumcision) you will be taken care of. Dr. Hill was my favorite in the hospital. She just made me feel so much better. But, they were all good once in the hospital and on their rounds. Tip: It was easier to reach them after hours, ironically. The doctors are in appts all day, so the on-call after hours doctor was prompt in responding. It took hours to hear back during business hours. If you don't mind waiting- Dr. Hill was the best at listening, offering advice and not making you feel rushed. However, this meant you paid the price on the front end -- waiting a LONG time. When I was really pregnant, I got frustrated waiting so long that I rescheduled my appointments from her, even though I like her. I would choose Dr. Case -- she is VERY efficient on time, but does make you feel rushed, although she is very nice. But -- that's how she stayed on time. All other doctors had more of a wait than DR. Case, I'd always "beat" people into the office when I was scheduled with her. The bad: I felt like a number. As many problems and complications I had, I assumed they knew me there, but I realized I was just a number when i'd see the doctors in the hallways between appointments. If you need your doctor to "know" you, this probably isn't your place. However, they are caring as they can be, and most of them take their time and make you feel better answering your questions. About 2 weeks after a friend's c-section, I saw her Dr. (Dr. Wilson), and told her she delivered her baby, and she didn't really know who I was talking about. So obviously they don't remember you... They are a VERy busy practice. read more

I started going to Total Woman as a new patient with Dr Case. She was very professional. Before the examination she brought me into a room with - table and chairs. We sat in there for about 15-20 min discussing any issues with my health and also getting to know each other. She made me feel at ease with trying to get pregnant in my late 30's. read more

I really like Dr Schweichler, I like that since I pay out-of-pocket that the receptionist told me in advance how much it would cost. And the doc rang up the lab to make sure they could work out payment I could afford. I lived in NYC for 10 years and it was probably the best place in the country to be uninsured. However, I was worried when I moved back to Louisville, I had a very good experience at Total Woman and liked Dr Schweichler in particular. read more

Today was my first time going to Total Woman.. Dr. Angela Bell is my doctor and she is absolutely amazing.. I really felt like she cared about what was going on with me and any concerns I had, she was more than glad to answer. I've had several different gynecologists before her and they were very quick and just wanted to get in and out.. Dr. Bell actually takes her time to get to know her patients and she makes you feel very comfortable. I am definitely sticking with her. She's very booked up and the wait itself once you come is a bit longer than usual but it's definitely more than worth it. read more

Was in and had a awful experience. I went to total women for my first appt. today and she made me feel like I've been coming to her for years. I finally found a great dr. Dr. Hill is amazing, she just had to surgically remove two 31cm cysts from my body. She dud wonderful with my surgery and is currently doing amazing with all my aftercare. There is a wait but its so worth it I love this place read more

I love this practice! All the staff is wonderful, knowledgeable, and willing to work with patients! Dr. Wilson delivered my first child, and Dr. Schweichler delivered my second child. Both were great and supported my birthing plan and offered wonderful postpartum care. They have an in house ultrasound office for easy and quick ultrasounds during pregnancy. They also are well-versed in working with at-risk moms ( I have asthma) and their specialists to create a comprehensive care plan. They were great to my husband, who never was fearful of attending appointments with me. We are planning on having more kids, and this is the place we will go! I LOVE THESE LADIES! read more
