We easily booked on line a couple months in advance of our trip to Stonehenge, Bath and a Secret Place. I had a few questions, which were answered quickly through email. Instructions and itinerary were provided after we bought we tickets. Additional and helpful information was sent a few day prior to our trip. Noelh, our tour guide, was knowledgable, interesting and fun from the moment he picked us up in London. He provided information beyond the tour stops. He was engaging and had a good understanding of the geology of Stonehenge as well as the historical background. He made well time stops for breaks. We spent about two hours at Stonehenge, two hours at Bath and an hour at the Secret Place. The Secret Place was worth the extra and I highly recommend. Noelh offered a brief and interesting walking tour at each site and left us time to explore on our own. We were allowed to bring snacks on the bus but we didn't need them because we stopped plenty at places for food and drink. Noelh provided water. Bring water and rain gear. There were UBC ports for phone charging on the bus. The bus was very comfortable. Noelh was sensitive to a woman that was having mobility issues and arranged for her to skip part of the walking tour. I enjoyed Stonehenge and the Secret Place immensely, I was glad I saw Bath, but it was too crowded during our visit. Others on the tour really loved Bath. I highly recommend The English Bus tours.

Alex was an amazing guide, giving us local knowledge and clear directions where to go and where to meet back up. He was funny, kind and a great driver. Would definitely book again!!

My daughter and I thought that added to the experience because you can see the actual morgue and crime scene photos. Our tour guide was Alan, who we had for the Changing of the Guard tour, and was awesome. He knows his stuff and was able to nimbly answer some real odd ball questions. What was Jack the Ripper's favorite ice cream flavor? (ok, know one asked that question). I liked that he acknowledged the woman and the end of the tour and didn't focus on the ID of killer. We did the 5p tour, which was probably better, because it's less crowded with other Ripper tours.

Not only is he energetic and…read moreanimated in his delivery, he is quite the subject matter expert who's written a book about Jack the Ripper and has even been interviewed on tv about the notorious killer. Keep in mind that the physical locations of the grisly crime spree looks nothing like it does in 1888, but do you really want it too? It was a time of great despair and destitution in the Whitechapel neighborhood with people literally starving to death on the street and desperate mothers forced into prostitution to pay for a piece of bread for their kids. Mick had photos of the people and neighborhood to transport us back to the time period and his storytelling is superb. The "Rippervision" projector on the walls was an added creepy touch. There are several tours in this area and maybe even with the same meeting points. Make sure to ask when you arrive if this is the tour with Rippervision. It was both chilling and fascinating to walk along the same streets of both Jack the Ripper and his victims, and also you get a historical and empathetic lesson into what it was to live during their times.

He was happy to answer any and all questions you had and would go into detail about several topics. Made for a very interesting and one of a kind tour. The website sounds a bit vague so to give more info - you are taken along Southbank London and given historical information on how London formed and then go into more detail about the grim parts - the crime, abuse, hangings, etc that happened. It's not a tour with many specifics like 'Here Jack the Riper did ___' but there are lots of other tours that do that. There are a couple stops that involves some historical reenactment, which was great fun. Eat before your tour as after the bar you meet at will be done with food service.

The two tickets I paid for included marshmallows and music; for the ticket amount, a drink should have been included. Rather drinks are an additional £7-8. Greek food (only grilled cheese for vegetarians) is additional money and cash only. Would've been smart if the organizers had bothered to let us know via email beforehand. It turns out anyone could have walked up to the roof to roast marshmallows; no one was checking wristbands there. The music was held in the freezing ass cold tunnel so after just a few minutes there, and bundled in puffer jackets, we couldn't feel our toes. I was told no heaters could be brought in because of soot in the atmosphere; fair enough but then choose another venue for this! There was mass confusion about a token system, with people asking each other about it whilst standing in queues and even a ticket person saying he didn't understand why someone upstairs was talking about tokens. The museum itself is mildly interesting. Never again.

The Midnight Apothecary: This summer as well as the museum, on Saturdays nights there is a cocktail bar set up in the beautiful herb garden on the roof of the Thames tunnel. The 'cocktail gardener,' Lottie Muir, uses herbs (and other ingredients) from the garden to make beautiful (and strong) cocktails each Saturday night during the summer. We tried the gin and lavender fizz, and the strawberry and mint martini...they were both lovely. I honestly can't think of a more pleasant spot to watch the sunset. * Cash only! Each cocktail is £5...so remember to stock up on paper money! * The garden is quite small, so you might need to get there early if you have a large group. * If cocktails aren't enough, there are also underground tours of the museum/tunnel starting at 7:30pm. I think this costs £5. The website says it will keep going through September, so there are a few more weeks left to try it. If you live in the area - get over there!!

I have just come from this Jack The Ripper tour and really liked it…read more What seemed to make it different is that the tour guide is an ex policeman who knows about murders from his career. He also is interested in the genuine facts and goings on. This is different to many on some tours I have been on where the guide is less qualified and just saying the scripts they have been told. I liked that he had information and was an interesting person. He also showed is where Diagon Alley from the Harry Potter films was filmed and said lots of other related things that kept it full and interesting. Biggest of all he actually checked that everyone was okay at every stage, such as if there were signs that a person needed to stop or pause for any reason. There were 50 other groups doing tours tonight and we saw others at some of the locations. Of course I do not know what they were like, but I was perfectly happy with this one.

Okay, I'll stop right there because we're talking about gruesome murders that took place in 1888 by the clever and unknown "Jack". I booked this tour through Viator and our assigned guide was Ivan. We began the tour with a backstory of the neglected town of Whitechapel and continued the tour following in "Jack's" footsteps. Out of all of the tours we had in London, this was the most educational and compelling. Parts of the tour include photos of the women that were brutally murdered and Ivan would warn us to look away if we weren't interested in seeing them. I would highly recommend this tour, and I'm not a true crime podcast girlie.

It was great to listen to his commentary and also to march along beside them as they made their way to Buckingham Palace. We were able to see them from a few different spots and then we hung out at Buckingham Palace to take photos for a while before heading down to where the guards return after they're done. We would not have known about their return trip if it weren't for the information we got from Alex. It really was a great experience!
