He was super friendly and didn't seem flustered even with all the customers questions. Paul came in to help out and just took over helping me at the register while Donte helped another customer. It was nice to see how well the team works together. My husband and I were in and out in like 20mins to rent two separate instruments for our twins. Both Dante and Paul were so knowledgeable and so patient with us as we had several questions. While Marty couldn't help us behind the register, he was so kind and greeted us immediately when we walked in the door. It's very rare to have a shopping experience as pleasant as this one was. Kudos to all three guys, I can tell that they truly care about music and their customers.

Now I know people make mistakes and forget. But I pay them near up to 100$ a week just for no teaching. They also did NOT in fact inform me that they were out. I might even cancel it at this point. This store is good I just don't recommend paying for lessons as it is unfair and only 30 minutes.

Mark is a musical authority - a professional musician, with solid credentials, and he's an excellent teacher. I really feel like I'm training from a master and not just from an old-fashioned teacher who's stepping me through an instruction routine. He's been able to bring me up to speed on piano very quickly with no pressure. He explains musical techniques and concepts so that they're clearly understood and easy to learn. If you're serious about becoming a musician and want to train from the best, then this is the place to go.

We went to the First Night New Years Eve shoes by the School of Rock performance bands. Band members get lots of help setting up and getting going on songs--it's harder than it looks! Thanks again to the staff for making it work. During stay-at-Home time SoR has worked hard to give students different performance activities, Jacob had two open mic times. SoR also edited student instrumental and vocal performances of "Wayward Son" into one group performance. Finally Steve has taken many measures to keep the school safe on reopening. We're back now for solo and group drum lessons!

As an adult student, I had the pleasure of studying with Dr. Laura Kaufman Mowry over this past…read moresummer. I am primarily a sax player that doubles on flute. Laura was able to quickly provide guidance on my tone and technique that led to immediate improvements. She has an ability to relay information in multiple ways to meet your learning style. I had some issues with my posture and technique that were causing me pain while playing, and after implementing Laura's suggestions, I have been able to practice for much longer periods without pain. Subsequently, I have been very pleased with the progress that I made over the last three months. Last week at my regular restaurant gig, the restaurant owner commented that she noticed how much better I had recently gotten on flute! I majored in Music Education and Jazz Studies in college, and have had many private teachers. Laura has definitely been one of the best private instructors I have ever had. Highly recommend!

My students learn to take ownership of their unique processes of learning. The phrase "practice makes perfect" is altered to "practice makes permanent." It matters just as much what we learn at home as it does in our weekly lesson!

What a gem! Chessie's Big Backyard is such a great spot for kids (and grown-ups who like a good…read morewalk). The walking trails were really nice--well maintained with peaceful forest views. Perfect for a stroller, and some nature scavenger hunts. The playground itself is huge and looked really well cared for. The toddler area was unfortunately closed during our visit, but the rest of the space more than made up for it. There are tons of benches and seating all around, and you can see most of the playground from just about anywhere, which is so helpful when you're keeping an eye on kiddos. There's a massive covered pavilion area that would be perfect for group meetups or a picnic in the shade. And while it was still closed for the season, the splash pad/water park area looked like fun! Definitely planning to come back in the summer to check it out! Such a great spot to have in the area!
