We just had our third but LAST birthday party at this venue. In the past we have had a great experience but yesterday I was extremely disappointed!! We arrived and the party room smelled AWFUL- like the party before us was a full on weed party. I was stunned and freaking out. All of my closest friends with their sweet kiddos were about to arrive and we would all be stuffed in this tiny room of stench. the party host noticed right away and offered to try air freshener and I said yes and asked for the manager. The manager came over. I asked her....how can a birthday party at a venue for little children be filled with...this? I was appalled at her response. First she said, maam, weed is legal in Virginia. Ok in that case why don't we go ahead and also allow parties to serve alcohol and smoke cigarettes. THIS IS A CHILDRENS PLAY AREA! Who cares if it's legal! How is that relevant to my concern!? Then she quickly backtracked saying of course they weren't smoking in here, they must have just smoked outside and it was just on their persons when they entered. Ummmm no. The entire room REEKS. She refused to do anything for us other than offer to mop (but we're all in socks...no thanks). Later they took $6 off my balance and gave me three day pass vouchers (I've always gotten these in the past after large parties). Did nothing to offer any kind of discount. I told them that I would sadly have to give a one star review and the response was just...shrug. Awful. Not returning and don't recommend this for birthdays anymore. read more

We had a fantastic time here. It is huge. My 8 year old actually commented that it was too big because she kept losing track of her friends. I would recommend bringing at least 2 kids with you so they can navigate the large play area together. We spent about 3 hours here before the kids were wiped out. They have juice boxes and small snacks available for purchase. No outside drinks or food is allowed but I saw plenty of people with water bottles so that should be fine. A great location for birthday parties for kids 3 to 10. So many different areas to play on with dedicated spaces for younger kids only. read more

They certainly aren't lying when they named the place Hyperkidz, because my kids were super hyper when we visited! Honestly, I'm glad for the opportunity for them to get their energy out of their systems on what was a rainy day outside. The website says the place is winter wonderland themed but I'd go even further to say it's Frozen themed, because it's all the same colors they use in Frozen. My kids said their favorite activity was the ball put although there were tons of other options too. We went on a day when the kids had no school. We arrived at 10am and it was calm/quiet for about 30 minutes. Then a bunch of camp programs showed up and turned the place into a madhouse. Kevin was extremely attentive and was on time for everything to include the pizza and cake. We had the max kids and adults and he handled everything great to include dj'ing. I am writing this review in hopes that it serves as a critical learning opportunity for the management and staff at Hyper Kids Springfield. We visited with our four-year-old daughter, who has severe autism. She was jumping in the area designated for ages 2 and under. For children with developmental disabilities, chronological age does not always align with their developmental needs or safety requirements. She was supervised by my wife at all times--standing less than a foot away--and was not bothering or endangering any other children. Despite my wife explaining the situation, a staff member repeatedly approached her to tell her our daughter didn't belong there. This repetitive targeting was unnecessary and caused other parents to stare, creating a spectacle and an incredibly uncomfortable environment for my family. When I attempted to address this with a manager at the counter, the interaction was dismissive. After asking if we were there for a party or drop-in play, he walked away while I was still speaking, showing a complete lack of professional courtesy or desire to resolve the conflict. Families of children with disabilities already face daily hurdles; a play facility should be a place of inclusion, not further trauma. We chose to leave to protect our daughter from further stress. To Management: Please use this as a prompt to train your staff on disability awareness. Not every child "fits" into a chronological age bracket, and the ADA requires "reasonable modifications" to policies to accommodate individuals with disabilities. I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent experience at your facility in Springfield, Virginia during my daughter's birthday party. I booked the colossal 5:45 PM-7:45 PM on January 31,2026 time slot and paid with the expectation of having the FULL HOUR to celebrate. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the previous party was still in the room, and it was not ready for us. We were unable to enter until approximately 7:05-7:10 PM. At that point, the room still needed to be cleaned and decorated, and no children were allowed inside until everything was completed. Food was served around 7:15 7:20PM, and shortly after around 7:29 PM we were asked to if we wanted to do the dance party again since they went and done it already while i was inside the room decorating and settling the party favors, while the children had just started eating. We were then informed that we needed to leave by 7:55 PM because the facility closed at 8:00 PM. As a result, we had less than one hour to actually celebrate, which is not what I paid for or expected. Everything felt rushed, and we lost a significant amount of our scheduled time due to circumstances beyond our control. While I appreciate the offer of a free pass on another day, I do not feel this adequately addresses the situation. The experience and time lost during my daughter's birthday cannot be replaced. I believe this matter deserves further consideration, and I respectfully request fair compensation for the time and value that were not provided as agreed. Most importantly, my daughter was very disappointed, as she did not get to fully enjoy her special day due to the limited time. Never again will I book and reserve a birthday party here for any of my children. read more

I think they need to make the play area entrance MORE difficult for kids to walk in or out through for better security measures! My daughter asked for a party this year to celebrate her birthday and we hosted it here. The facility is HUGE! There were different play areas and structures for various ages. Since we held the party on a Sunday, it was definitely packed and chaotic and I'm glad that I had help with our kids (thank you to their aunties!) because they were roaming all over the place! We went with the Royal Party Package which included 2 hours of playtime, 1 hour and 45 minutes in the party room (with ample seating for both adults and children), along with admission, juice boxes, and pizza for up to 25 kids (2 adults are included with each kid, and any additional kid is $24.99 and additional adult is $6.99). We also had the option to order additional food and drinks. It also includes a party planner who also decorated our room for us, setup all of the goody bags and food, and passes for the guest of honor to come back to visit. Our party planner was communicative and friendly. Leading up to the party, we had a few confirmation calls on our food order as well as the logistics for the party. I would have loved to rent out the facility but it was only available to do so Monday through Thursday starting at 7:30pm (which would interfere with bath time/bed time). When visiting, make sure to bring your own socks and sign the waiver for easy check-in. read more

I try to avoid this type of places because they are always so dirty and not well maintained. Hyper Kidz opened not too long ago, so naturally it's in great shape! However I was pleasantly surprised to see the staff cleaning the play structures at least 4 different times in the 3 hrs we were there. The place is soo clean and the staff are soooo so good and caring about the safety of kids. I got to see first hand how in at least 5 different occasions they nicely redirected kids that weren't using the equipment properly (in a dangerous way) or removing older kids from smaller kids' areas. The staff member working in the 2 and under area was so nice, I actually thought he was the parent of a kid because he was being so patient and playful with a little kid for like 30 min while the mom was nowhere to be found. Now onto the fun part: sooo much to do for all ages! They have 3 different play areas depending on the kids' ages. They are all soooo much fun, slides in all 3, ball pits in 2, everything that you can imagine and more. The areas are nicely spaced out. And there are even a basketball and soccer little courts. Don't forget your socks! They do sell some of you forget them. Re entry is allowed for same day. Save time and sign waivers online! Will be back and will definitely recommend! I can't think of a more fitting name than Hyper Kidz! This place is pure sensory overload, but in the best way possible. From the moment we walked in, my children did not stop moving which was a good thing after being cooped in from the snow, ice, and freezing temperatures we've had the last few weeks. Even though the place was completely packed to the brim with children, I found the staff to be extremely involved, informative, and kind. Front desk was super helpful and I saw staff cleaning the toddler area and walking amongst kids in the giant play structure to make sure things didn't get too rowdy (it did, but at least they tried). As I mentioned it was extremely packed so if you go with multiple kids, make sure to have lots of hands on deck as you can lose your child easily amongst all the fun. This is not the place where you can bring your laptop and let your kids go off on your own. There are play structures / areas from age 10 months to ... adults! Even I got a little dopamine hit going through their brightly colored obstacle course and flying down their giant slides. My kids had a great time and didn't want to leave. We were invited for a birthday party and the space had lots of seating for adults (it's the little thing!) and the attendant was available to pass out pizza, refill drinks, and clean things up. I was invited to a birthday party to celebrate the cutest little one year old. I've never heard of this place before and I was amazed when I walked in. There's something for all ages, everything is padded to minimize injuries, and so fun!! Seriously, it was the coolest. The best part is that it is sized so that parents can actually accompany the little for those who are timid or to young to play solo. This is a crazy place but the kids LOVE it! It offered lots of choices for my granddaughter, and I could just sit back and try to keep an eye on her. The areas for different ages are well marked but they can still move between them easily. I would suggest not going on a weekend, though, since there are lots of birthday parties and it was crowded. One caution ... there is no staff overseeing the trampolines so do that yourself. When there are big and little kids at the same time it can be a problem for the littles. Brought the littles here for a birthday party. The space is large, was clean and it had space designated for children 2 and under which was nice so they could play safely. Toward the back of the space, there were party rooms for private parties. Each room has a theme. I think there is a 2 hour limit for the rooms - at least for the "base" package deal anyway. They had bubble machines and some stuffed animal mascots (tiger I think) that came out and did a dance party with the kids. For families with more than 1 young child, Hyper Kidz is the better deal compared to Scramble and Jolly Yolly in the area. The indoor playground is massive, new and relatively clean. We have 2 under 2, and for $20, we enter as a family and our older toddler gets her play time. The wait is short if you complete the online waiver beforehand. Parking can get crazy in the weekends. They also have birthday party packages. I like that they enforce the age restriction in the 0-2 play area. Pros: very big playground, divided into age areas, prices aren't bad Cons: not well mainted, rips throughout facility, not probably cleaned at all. There are hairs, rappers, and dirt all over the playground. They clean the bare minimum. Vaccum and wipe down some surfaces but you can tell they do not deep clean the playground at all. I get it there's hundreds of children and it's a very big place but I felt disgusting taking my kids there. I usually take my kids to a different indoor playground that's much cleaner.There were many kids not wearing socks and big children in toddler areas. There weren't any workers enforcing the rules. It's a great playground but they truly need better maintenance and up keeping. There should also be better gates for keeping children inside playground. There is no gate leading up to the emergency exit and is very easy for a toddler to run away. read more

I was there a few weekends ago for my nephew's 2 year birthday party. It was cool. The party rooms are winter themed. They offer pizza. The place is large enough for kids to have fun, but small enough for you to find your lost kid. I appreciated that the inner spaces between the structures are large enough for adults to look after children who may be in the mazes. I (clears throat) am of a certain age, and even I, jumped on the trampoline a few times. It's brightly colored. I don't know the cost because it was included in the party. Cleanliness: Overall the place was pretty clean and I very much appreciated the plastic sock covers in front of the bathroom. Equipment: the variety of activities for the kiddos is great (especially compared to scramble). But some of the climbing equipment is run down already and needs replacement/repair. Safety: Lots of padded equipment so it felt pretty safe. One thing is that management needs to do better at keeping older kids (like 9-13) out of the 0-2 area. The front desk would yell at the kids after about 5-10 minutes but the problem is so bad that they may want to keep staff at the entrance of the infant area to keep the older kids out. Was told they would cancel now and confirmation would come. Nope. Went in person. Told it would be cancelled with passes ending June 25. Fine, a month notice. But! They have not been cancelled. Went in person again after June 25 and was told they hadn't been cancelled, so I could cancel now and passes would end July 25. So I called again. This seems to be to a call center and not the actual facility btw. Was told only a manager could cancel and someone would call me back. Shockingly, that hasn't happened. Violation of the FTC click to cancel rule (and the reasons rules like that have to exist)! Otherwise clean facility and my kids love it there. Too bad this is their operating model. read more

There are three distinct areas, each with a "winter wonderland" theme. The Mini Zone is the perfect size for babies to age 2. It includes mini trampolines and soft slides and play equipment. There are staff roaming the area ensuring only those 2 and under are in this area. The Kid Zone is for ages 2 to 7 has soft play equipment, motorized revolving rides, slides, a ball pit, spinning palms, a building block room, a giant light-up wall, and an LED air slide. Both the Mini Zone and the Kid Zone are open areas where you can easily keep tabs on your kids. The big kid zone is for up to age 13. It has four levels and three different slides, a ball pit, an interactive video screen, several tunnels to crawl through, a mini soccer field, and a basketball court, among other things. There are small snacks and drinks for purchase, but no kitchen; although several places to eat nearby. Price is based on age and weekday v. weekend with adults being free. Wednesday is their discount day. No reservations are needed but expect crowds, especially once word gets out Hyperkidz is finally open. Reduce 2 down lower and get some smaller basketballs. - Soccer course was cool, but include some softer or smaller soccer balls. For barefoot play size 5/6 soccer balls are too big and hard. We've been here several times and also celebrated my daughter's 3rd birthday on Dec 2024 and rented a party room. It was a Saturday so it was insanely busy! I'm so glad I booked a party so we had our own space there to take a break and eat too. For the price of hosting a party, I wish we can stay there for 2 hours instead of it only being for 50 mins only. But overall, it's a clean and great place for a playdate! We have been to many different indoor playgrounds and this location is by far the best. This place was clean and well thought out focused on safety and modern kids equipments. They were fully staffed double the amount of other places. They were very friendly and focused on keeping the area clean and clear of dangerous obstructions for safety purposes. The kids were there of hours and had the best experience and never got bored. So many new rides that we haven't seen in other places. The price was fair for the kids but even better not charging the parents. We will definitely will be back even though it's further for us and we have 4-5 more closer to us.
