    Exploring L. A.

Fun tour and with great guides. Nice views and good route. I take tours all the time in different cities and thoroughly enjoyed my time on this tour. Good pace to the tour. They were very accommodating and let us decide in the last moment whether or not to join. Keep up the good work!

This was the highlight of our stay in Coeur d'Alene and we're still talking about it. I'm 67 and my wife is 64. Because of fear of falling, she was apprehensive, but after a well-run training in the parking lot, learned the Segway quickly. She was soon smiling and by the end of the day, was zipping around everyone. Now she wants one for Christmas, no kidding. The owners did an outstanding job of making sure everyone was comfortable with their abilities, handing out hi-viz vests, helmets, bottled water, and intercom with disposable earbuds. We first thought that we'd all stop, listen to the tour guide, and get back on until the next stop. But the narration was constant throughout as we buzzed through neighborhoods and parks. The two-hour tour of Coeur d-Alene covered over nine miles, something that would have been impossible by foot and a lot less tiring. Everywhere we went, people smiled at us in approval. We decided to take the tour on the first day of our visit, since we'd never been to Coeur d'Alene before, and it was a good decision. We went through exclusive neighborhoods, wonderful McEuen Park, past the CDA Resort, through City Park with all it's sculptures, North Idaho University, historic Fort Sherman, down Main St. All while learning the history of the area. Later that afternoon, we retraced some of the tour and spending more time in McEuen Park. We ate at two eateries that were mentioned on the tour, and walked the "world's longest floating boardwalk" at sunset. I'd give them six stars if I could. Highly recommended!

I had no idea what we were getting into with this tour, but we were looking for things to do and it was highly recommended to us by my mom's friend. We had a blast!!! The Segways were so much fun and so easy to learn. The couple who run the tour took their time to explain everything and train each of us individually to make sure we were comfortable before heading out. My mom's friend was VERY nervous in the beginning but, by the end, she was asking about bringing a group of her friends back for another tour. We had walked around the small town the entire day prior, so I was a little unsure if we'd learn anything new, but the guide was extremely knowledgeable and showed us several things we never would have seen or noticed on our own. The tour moved along at the perfect pace and never dragged (giving short breaks every so often). I was very impressed and I'd love to bring back other family and friends to experience it for themselves. Wonderful bang for your buck!

They seem to find the nature of their work to be irritable and it shows in their poor customer service. They said they would adjust our reservation to accommodate our travel time then without authorization tried to charge us for this time. So we went to the marina at the resort instead and they were 1000 times more pleasant, positive and the cost was much cheaper. I personally would rather support the small business but in this case the staff was far too negative and anti-service minded. I would never do business with them again. Then they tried to over charge us for a boat we didn't rent and an additional "admin" fee. Be aware.

The gentleman I spoke with confirmed both were do-able on the same day. Unfortunately, he neglected to mention that we needed to be at their site 15 minutes prior to the tour. We completed our bike ride but the gps indicated we would arrive at 4:08 PM. Since we were such a large family, I called as a courtesy at 3:50 PM to update our timing. Upon opening the reservation email for their phone number, I saw the request to check-in 15 minutes early. Kelly, the manager, told me they would not wait for us. She said the guides are retired miners, and she would not ask them to wait - even though we comprised 7 of the 9 attendees of the 4:00 tour. She said we had to arrive in 5 minutes (3:55 PM) or rebook for another day. Unfortunately, we couldn't legally drive that fast and were leaving the area. So, we had to decline those options. That same evening, we got a text asking us to leave a review. I hate sharing grievances publicly. So today, 8/7 I called again, hopeful that we could reach a compromise with some shared responsibility in the mix up. However, she was so argumentative I couldn't get a word in. When I tried to speak, she'd talk over me and just went into a rant. I was never able to deliver my suggestion. I concluded this was not productive and while she was still ranting, I disconnected the call to begin writing this review. Despite my reluctance for saying anything negative publicly. Truth be told, I have no idea if it's a good tour or not. Perhaps the staff are wonderful - I can't really say. But Kelly is a bulldog and not suitable to interface with customers. Perhaps this "heads up" on the rigidity of policy will spare another family the huge disappointment our 9-year-old faced. He is a rockhound and had been so excited about this tour. For the owners of this enterprise and other employees, I apologize for saying anything harmful about the Sienna Silver Mine Tours. This situation could have come to a far more favorable conclusion. In my opinion, Kelly should not be a decision maker nor a representative of this tourist-driven attraction. She is offensive. I am regretfully giving this a score of "0" stars. We had planned to stay at the campground and take the mine tour…read more I honestly don't understand how this campground has so many positive reviews. We had planned to stay for four nights, but after arriving, we quickly decided to leave. When we checked in, Peter greeted us politely and handed us an envelope with our campsite information. I knew the campground was close to the highway, but I was hoping the campsites themselves would be pleasant. Unfortunately, our assigned site was far too narrow to be comfortable. As I pulled in, the campers next to us were struggling to empty their black tank and were using a water hose to wash away the mess. Before I even got out of my truck, the smell of sewage was overwhelming. We drove back toward the entrance and stopped to discuss whether we should stay. A man approached us and asked what the problem was. I assumed he was an employee, so I explained that the campsite was too small. He replied, "Is the real problem the people next to you?" I said that was certainly a concern. He then walked away, and we decided to leave. The next day, I called the campground and spoke with Peter again. He told me that the man who approached us was actually a former employee who had been fired several weeks earlier but still lives on the property. That only added to our concerns. Overall, the campground felt more like a dilapidated trailer park than a campground. Peter acknowledged that he understood my concerns about the sewage situation. I wanted to make sure I wouldn't be charged since we left immediately, but he said there was nothing he could do and suggested I contact the owners in California. I emailed the company but never received a response. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this campground. If you're looking for an enjoyable camping trip, I suggest staying somewhere else.
