You can tell he is enthusiastic about history, random facts, and of course the food! We had many delicious food items in borough market and at a pub. Foods ranging from sausage rolls, fish and chips, and English dessert. We also got a surprise treat at the end, which I greatly appreciated. Would definitely recommend the London food tour!

Our guide, Jez, made the 3.5 hours fly by -- he was knowledgeable, passionate, witty, and incredibly relatable, which made the evening both fun and memorable. Going in, I didn't have huge expectations, but the variety of food we sampled absolutely exceeded them. From Bangladeshi to Pakistani to Indian dishes (and beyond), the flavors really highlighted the diversity within the Indian subculture in East London. These were the kinds of hidden, off-the-beaten-path places that as a foreign traveler I'd never know to seek out on my own. The tour struck a perfect balance between delicious food, cultural insight, and great conversation within our small group of five travelers. I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique, authentic, and flavorful experience in London that goes far beyond the typical tourist stops.

The ghost stories were pretty chilling but the tour actually felt like more of a myths, legends, and history tour with some hauntings thrown in. Problem? Not at all; I actually really liked the various stories. He even shows you film locations when you pass them like from Mary Poppins Returns which I'd just watched on the flight across the pond. I was worried we wouldn't be able to locate our guide but you don't need to worry about that in the slightest as he comes dressed in something straight out of the Haunted Mansion at Disney (love!). Like his costume, he gives the tour a very theatrical show. A passionate guide makes for an entertaining tour! While the tour didn't exactly fully satisfy my craving for a paranormal experience in London, I think it was worth doing. I hadn't heard any of these histories or legends and they span from brushes with the devil to literary influences so there is something for everyone! It's a fun way to take in the city in a way you wouldn't have seen it before. I'd recommend not leaving this to the end of your trip like we did, however! He recommends a lot of cool things to check our on your own which I would've liked to have visited if I'd have had more time.

This walking tour is a great way of taking in the sights and history of old London City with a bit…read moreof "most haunted" thrown in for good measure. The guide, Richard, is friendly and appropriately theatrical as he brings the crowd from landmark to landmark. The narrow alleyways we traipsed through included the one where Dickens set Ebenezer Scrooge's office, below a sit of windows reputedly haunted by a young girl in white. There were a few graveyards along the way and even a haunted cobblestone (warming: don't bring it home as one girl apparently did!). Our guide also stopped to show us where some Diagon Alley scenes were shot, adding that he has a free PDF guide to all the Harry Potter spots on his website. At the tour's end he recommended we take the glass elevator up to the top of a shopping centre opposite St. Paul's cathedral. The view of the cathedral and surrounding landmarks (the Pickle and the London Eye) was breathtaking. Take this tour even if ghost stories aren't your thing: it's all about London's past (we even passed some remains of the wall of the original Roman city of Londinium & stood within the boundary of a coliseum). But do wear comfortable shoes and prepare for a long walk!

This one has "rippervision" ... the tour guide has a small projector that displays photos on the walls (& ceilings). My daughter and I thought that added to the experience because you can see the actual morgue and crime scene photos. Our tour guide was Alan, who we had for the Changing of the Guard tour, and was awesome. He knows his stuff and was able to nimbly answer some real odd ball questions. What was Jack the Ripper's favorite ice cream flavor? (ok, know one asked that question). I liked that he acknowledged the woman and the end of the tour and didn't focus on the ID of killer. We did the 5p tour, which was probably better, because it's less crowded with other Ripper tours.

Keep in mind that the physical locations of the grisly crime spree looks nothing like it does in 1888, but do you really want it too? It was a time of great despair and destitution in the Whitechapel neighborhood with people literally starving to death on the street and desperate mothers forced into prostitution to pay for a piece of bread for their kids. Mick had photos of the people and neighborhood to transport us back to the time period and his storytelling is superb. The "Rippervision" projector on the walls was an added creepy touch. There are several tours in this area and maybe even with the same meeting points. Make sure to ask when you arrive if this is the tour with Rippervision. It was both chilling and fascinating to walk along the same streets of both Jack the Ripper and his victims, and also you get a historical and empathetic lesson into what it was to live during their times.
