We met our tour guide Craig, near the Vinoy to start the tour to make our way further down Beach Dr. Craig has a great personality, is super friendly and has an awesome singing voice. He starts the tour with a few songs and performs more during the tour. I am not a huge fan of listening to these types of solos but he was good and it was entertaining enough. People who enjoy that type of thing would love it. I don't want to spoil the spots, but as you can see from my pictures, you get a lot of food on the tour. You get a drink at the first stop and can purchase drinks at the 2 other restaurants. The tour was approximately 2 hours, I am used to longer food tours with more history. Read on for details about our ghost tour though downtown St. Pete. Getting Tickets Saw the tour as an event shared on Facebook. Ordered our tickets online via the ghost tour site - very easy. This is the site I used https://www.ghosttour.com/ Parking Our tour was scheduled to leave at 8 p.m. Saturday evening, Oct. 12. We were instructed to meet up at Sweet Diva's 400 Beach Drive NE/4th Ave. North Side. Parking was a pain, but this is expected downtown. Might be a good idea to grab a bite or drink at Locale Market, walking distance to Sweet Diva's. Valet park for $5 (have Locale validate your parking!) this should allow you to park until 11 so you can do the tour and grab coffee or a beer after the walk. Ready, Set, Go! You can't resist stepping inside Sweet Diva's (unless you have some sort of insane amount of willpower) - the shop is super cute and filled with homemade chocolates and other goodies. Grab a bottle of water or coffee while waiting and be sure to use the rest room before the walk. The tour guide allows ten minutes for those running late w/tickets which is very nice, but do try to be on time! Meet Your Guide Our guide was named Neil Patrick (I know what you're thinking, far from it LOL) ... Neil was an older gent with more energy than I have in my entire freakin' body. We didn't ask, but it's obvious he is or was a stage actor at some point in his life. He walked at a perfect pace (and I'm a massive slowpoke so trust me, it's all good!) and was concerned that everyone in our group - of about 20 which included young couples and seniors vacationing - could hear him. What to Expect If you've never done one of these ghost tours before, you may want to note this isn't going to scare the out of you. This is more of a historical ghost story telling type thing. Neil provided us with interesting background on famous area landmarks such as the Vinoy Hotel, the Blocker Mansion, Cordova Inn and more as well as famous ghosts like Esther Wright aka The Bird Woman of St. Pete. Tip Bring cash for tip - your tour guide is worth it.

Kimberly was fantastic in assisting us to book our tour since our tickets were older…read more Even though parking was a little problematic, since the Christmas parade was the same in day in Dunedin, we were able to snare a spot that wound up being very convenient to the last stop on the tour! We started at Lucky Lobster and experienced the best Lobster and Shrimp Pizza and also Lobster Bisque. Never had that combination before but it was off the chart good! There were many great stops but our favorite was Harley's Popcorn! So much so that we later ordered a tin of Popcorn to be delivered to family!! And the grand finale was the dessert and coffee at the Bon Appetit Restaurant! Fresh hot coffee and a choice of many desserts. We chose the Coconut Pie which was a the perfect ending to a delicious afternoon and husband chose the Key Lime Pie which he declared was the best ever! Thank you for a great tour. What makes this experience so special goes far beyond just "riding horses on the beach." These are rescue horses--many of them coming from difficult or neglectful situations--and C Ponies has created something really beautiful by giving them a second chance at life. You can feel how deeply loved and well cared for these horses are. They are healthy, happy, and genuinely seem to enjoy their work. One of the most fascinating parts was learning that the water is actually healing for them. Being in the ocean supports their joints and overall wellness, so this experience isn't just fun for us--it's beneficial for them, too. That alignment made the entire experience feel even more special and ethical. Our guide, Raina, was fantastic. She had the perfect mix of humor (yes, some delightfully corny jokes), warmth, and knowledge. More importantly, you could tell she truly loves these horses and what she does. She made everyone feel comfortable, safe, and engaged the entire time. Walking the horses into the water--and even getting to experience them swimming--was surreal. Each horse had its own personality, which made it even more fun. You could tell they were relaxed, confident, and happy to be there. It didn't feel forced or transactional--it felt like a partnership between humans and animals. Living in Sarasota, it also meant a lot to support a business that is doing such meaningful work in our own SW Florida community. C Ponies is not only creating unforgettable experiences, but they are actively rescuing, rehabilitating, and giving these horses a life filled with purpose and care. If you're on the fence--book it.
