He even sang a lot during the tour. There are a lot of photo stops during the tour and you may get off the bus and take a lot of pictures, the bus driver will even take pictures if you want to be in it. Locations visited were Glencree, Glendalough, Lough Tay and Avoca village. Only downside: because of the big group size, it's very anonymous. But some people might prefer that over smaller group tours ;)

We had the delightful, educational, welcoming, fun packed experience to have Andreia Leal as our Tour Director. I won't this trip on a game show called Let's Make A Deal with Wayne Brady, so needless to say this was a once in a lifetime experience and opportunity for me. I was allowed to bring one person which was my teenage daughter Freddie Lynn and we paid for a third person, my Dad James to also come. After all, we would be spending Father's Day in Italy! Pretty amazing. From day 1 our tour was exquisitely planned and we were given full details of meet up times, daily activities and all we needed to know. We had a small group of 12 members so we felt comfortable and like a family straight away. Especially with Andreia giving us all the inside knowledge from her, not only being born in that area, but going back and being academically trained to get her degrees and exactly what she does. Our tour and time spent in Italy would not have been half of what it was without Andreia. She truly is a very special and kind human that I will treasure my time with her forever and wanted to let CIE Tours and its Management know what type of employees that they have in the field. Every single Ancient site, Farmhouse, Or activity that was planned for us was filled with history and education, along with a lot of fun activities and extra information. I truly felt part of the history and understood the current climates of the communities we visited, again; due to Andreia and the other guides within each city. I always felt safe and secure At each new location and Andreia Was always watching out and over us to ensure we were safe and kept together in a group. Which sometimes is not easy to do with so many beautiful sites to take in, everyone tends to wander off. Lollllll. Each day before we left each other Andreia would explain the next day and answer any questions we had. We always knew exactly where to be and what time to be there. The tour itself was beyond my imagination. All the ancient sites, architecture, history; it was breathtaking and humbling to know I walked the same steps and pathways as some of the greatest minds God has blessed our planet with. Our driver Mr. Silvio was always on time and again, most careful with the bus and passengers. He was a nice and funny guy too. There were bees near the last farm we visited and he fearlessly battled them as we entered the bus as to not have any of the bees enter as well. It was funny, we were all safe and no bees ended up in the bus, thankfully. I cannot thank you enough for having employees such as Andreia Leal. She is professional, kind, funny and made our entire tour memories we will never forget. I have been HIGHLY encouraging everyone who has asked about my trip to book with you because as much as I can describe and show photos, it does no justice to actually being there and experiencing that much history in one area! After booking and paying for our tour, we received our seat assignments for our flight...not sitting with my travel partner...different rows. CIE did not warn of this possibility as I would have paid to upgrade my seat selection and claimed it was out of their control. Not happy with their response.

Being able to hop on and off the bus made it easy and convenient to see different parts of Dublin while also learning about the city along the way. The tour took us to many interesting places including the Irish Whiskey Museum, distilleries, the Guinness Storehouse, the train station, the zoo, and the beautiful park areas throughout the city. We also added the Howth seaside cliff tour, which ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The coastal views and scenery were absolutely breathtaking. Overall, the entire experience was fun, informative, adventurous, and full of opportunities to explore. We got to see so much in a short amount of time without feeling rushed. Dublin is such a gorgeous city with so much history and charm, and this tour package made it easy to experience all of it. Both drinks were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The Vietnamese egg coffee was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced, while the ube topping added a fun and unique twist. To start, I booked my tour via Expedia which ended up costing just over $25 for a single ticket. I ended up taking an Uber to the dock from my hotel in city center which set me back about 30 EUR (but you can easily take the train to Howth for much less $$$). Howth is an incredibly charming seaside town with tons of shops and eateries too, so I made sure to grab lunch after my tour as well. Tours tend to fill up very quickly in the summer, but I guess not many others were willing to brave the November cold with me. I ended up with the entire boat to myself along with Brian my tour guide/captain, which was such a unique and incredible experience. Don't let the cold dissuade you! Brian is extremely knowledgeable on the history of the surrounding areas and wildlife which I really appreciated. He stopped to give me fun facts and tidbits throughout the tour, which was just over 40 minutes. If you are traveling in the more wintery months like me, definitely don't hesitate to book your tour, just bundle up (and maybe take a Dramamine if you get seasick). I was able to take in the most amazing views and snap some great photos. It was truly one of the highlights of my time in Dublin. Would HIGHLY recommend. 10/10 experience!

Three hours long with a brief stop in the middle for a cup of tea (or a beer). Lots of walking, lots of talking, and lots of Dublin to see. I think that I was quite lucky to have John as the tour guide today as he's got a good history here in Dublin and is even a Trinity College graduate. That was quite helpful as he pointed out the various sites and things to see as we walked around. Dublin Castle, Dubb Linn Garden, the famous Forty Steps, Temple Bar and more. Very nice. My *only* complaint is that the tour group was massive. Usually they break it down into smaller groups of 25 or 30. We had 50 at the start. That's too many.

John was very knowledgeable about the history of Ireland and told us many stories along our journey through Ireland. Not only was he very knowledgeable, but he was a hilarious story teller and we could tell he loves what he does. There is nothing better than having someone who is excited to share their love of history with people. He even took amazing photos of us whenever we wanted him to. If you are going on a tour, you HAVE to get John Todd! We had such a beautiful day at the Bunratty Castle. He made sure we were the first tour group at the castle so it was empty when we got there! We had plenty of time to explore, take photos, and learn about the history. Even better, it was a crystal clear day at the Cliffs of Moher! We got extremely lucky. It was truly a sight to see (you can't miss it if you come to Ireland). At the end of our tour, the trains were canceled due to problems on the railway. Our group was anxious about getting home, but John took care of us! He made sure we would be on a bus leaving at the same time as our schedule train to go back. It was an adventure through and through. John made sure we were safe getting home, walking my boyfriend and I to our Uber. Overall, he made our experience wonderful and fun. There is nothing first class about these tours. They are standard day trip coach tours from various…read morelocations, to which you arrive after an hour or two or more in ordinary seats in ordinary carriages in an ordinary train. DO NOT BE DECEIVED BY THE FIRST CLASS PLUS appendages, even though you are certainly paying first class prices. If you are British, leave aside any idea of using this company now. We were subjected to several days of biased historical interpretations of Ireland's history in which the English (all of them seemingly) were the monsters- to put it politely. It seems we were worse than than the Israelis against the Palestinians, and we were like that everywhere we went. Thank you tour guide Brian for this welcoming first day speel, delivered with venom even though you knew you had two English guests in your company's overpriced tour. On the extended tours you are bussed to hub locations where day-trippers join you for that particular day, and more or less the same speel comes out the newcomers, even though the venom was later reduced when confronted and there was a sort of apology at the end of day three. Particular attention was drawn to the need to have cash available for gratuities! The country is lovely. The vast majority of the people are lovely and welcoming. We did the 7 day tour Deluxe Plus. It wasn't. It was an expensive way of being mostly bussed around in standard tourist coaches. There was I hope no charge for the nationalistic insults by the tour guide.

The low paid staff are a pleasant bunch recruited via agencies as they can be easier shafted than the Irish staff that were all shafted many years ago by managing director Mr Rothwell, who has literally skimmed many tens of millions of euro from this floating cash cow and is still in the trough. I very much doubt that he would eat the overpriced food served up here at breakfast or the ok coffee at about a fiver a cup. When you are ripping folks off you should at least offer a modicum of quality. No? Those who check you in and board you always do a great job and all are welcoming and courteous. The biggest irritation for me is that there's no free WiFi. Mr R as they say in Polish nieszczęśliwy krwawiący is a miserable bleeder.

Outstanding service from Irish Ferries - Dover to Calais…read more I had an absolutely amazing experience with Irish Ferries when traveling from Dover to Calais. While waiting to board, my car battery went completely flat after charging my phone with the car turned off. I went to the Irish Ferries office for help, and the manager went above and beyond to assist me. He first tried to jump-start my car, but when that didn't work, he offered to personally take me out of the port to buy a new battery. He drove me all the way into the city, waited while I got a replacement, and then even helped me change the battery using his own tools. You don't often meet people so genuinely kind and helpful. I'm incredibly grateful for his time and effort. it turned what could have been a stressful day into a really positive experience. Thank you so much to the Irish Ferries team at Dover -- truly exceptional customer service!
