Baycare called me, told them I was supposed to get to PAM. Scheduler became v. rude, abrupt, wouldn't deal with me; he cancelled my PT order completely and told me I had to find another doctor to get a referral to PAM and start from zero. First time around, their in home therapists were a mixed bag. one or two were good; rest were young, unprofessional, abrupt and uncaring. Obvious they just wanted their hourly pay and to get away from sick old people. Not worth it; didn't help me much. It seems they are in cahoots with discharge staff at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Advise staying far away from this health care provider.

Went to the OB/GYN here as a follow-up for a previous ER visit. I was late to the appointment…read morebecause I was so fatigued it made it difficult for me to make it there on time, to their credit they allowed me to be seen. When they tested my hemoglobin levels it was at 6, however at this point they should have told me to go back to ER to become transfused so that I should at least be at an 8 I was told by a medical professional from St. Anthony's when I eventually ended up passing out because my hemoglobin dropped to a 5. I had to miss days of work of and go through another hospitalization because I was not properly referred to become transfused when I was initially seen by Bayfront Family Health Center. I was prescribed iron tablets here but was told by another professional that the medical practice for that was to be transfused and not prescribed a lot of iron because the iron tablets would not be enough to get my blood levels where they need to be, and it is actually a malpractice they did not transfuse me. I am not pursuing any further action as told by the medical professional, but am just glad that I was finally taken care of though I was upset that this could have been prevented. I felt disappointed because my expectations were so much higher of them because of being Bayfront. I delivered my child at the Baby Place and had a good experience in the past, but I was not high risk but a healthy pregnancy and delivery. Then later on, I received a $350 bill for my visit even though it should have been free because it was an ER follow-up. I had to call to ensure that I was not being billed, to which they said my balance was now $0 because it was an ER follow-up.

I scheduled an appointment on Tuesday at 9 am. Within an hour I was called and told my appointment had to be canceled. So, I rescheduled the following Thursday at 2 PM. At 9:30, on Thursday they called and cancelled my 2PM Appt. I have been in severe pain for over a week and was waiting to see my doctor. No one tried to get me in immediately or even apologize for their mistakes. Since they cancelled my appointment the second time I had to go to an Urgent Care Clinic. My out of pocket cost was $286 for thier mistake. I can assure you I will tell everyone about how I was treated. The people in charge here need to teach their employees how to treat the patients with respect and compassion. I will be changing to another clinic as soon as possible. So very disappointed! The pharmacy sends the refill request, and after they don't hear back we call to get the status and they say they're waiting on the doctor to send the refill. We send messages to the patient portal, and get no response. Then, when we call days later to see what's going on they will blame it on somebody being sick, or that they didn't get the messages...?!?! Eventually, it will get done but the gaps in medicinal treatments have real impacts to the patients. This office has gotten way too big and patients are suffering because of it. Two doctors have left to start their own practices where they control their own fate. Wouldn't recommend this office.
