Besides letting you know what's worthy of checking out in this fine city of the south they also have great short fiction written by local talents. We shouldn't be surprised that there are so many talented local writers in this city. After all this is the city of Gone With The Wind and telling stories to each other is as natural as sweet tea and fried okra baby! For the past 10+ years or more my favorite reason to get the CL is the legendary epicurean Cliff Bostock. He was a foodie before most of us were even born! When I was looking up their website for their phone number, I was surprised to find out that Atlanta Magazine has been around since 1961. Considering how much of Atlanta is relatively brand spanking new, I couldn't believe a local magazine could be 45 years old.

It was also awesome getting to meet Yelp Atlanta's Community Manager, Erica E! Two Best Friends Cafe and Books is definitely a hidden gem. It's a little tricky to find at first (I got turned around), but it's worth it. The space is cozy, welcoming, and perfect for a coffee shop/bookstore vibe.
