A cool venue with room to roam. We went for our first visit to see the virtual Van Gogh experience. The staff was extremely friendly and they handled socially distancing perfectly during the pandemic. The tickets allowed you ample time to enjoy each exhibit. My favorite part was the 3d experience which told the story of his life while scenes of his famous paintings covered the entire room allowing you to escape to an alternate reality. Loved every second and can't wait for my next show.

I highly recommend the Van Gogh Experience at the Tower Theater! It is a beautiful visual masterpiece that combines the works of art of Van Gogh with technology to bring them to life! We spent about two hours at the experience, most of which was in the main room where all four walls surround you with moving artwork accompanied by relaxing music, quotes from Van Gogh and narrative about his life. I feel like I honestly could have watched the loop multiple times! We also did the VR experience, which is only a $5 add on. I also recommend this. It puts you into a virtual walking tour of the landscapes from which Van Gogh was inspired for his painting. You sit in a chair that can spin if you so choose (which I recommend at several points turning around to see the stunning landscape behind you). Very cool! If you get the ParkMobile app, or use parkmobile.com, parking is easy too. We parked right on the side street of the theater (Ludlow) and used the metered parking from our phones. It's especially nice because if you need to, you can extend the time right from your phone as well. Can't wait to see what the next experience is!

Did the Van Gogh immersive experience here and it was pretty good. We arrived at1030am on a Thursday. You can book times but the exhibits run continuously and you can stay as long as you want. I think the bar might be open for later showtimes. I had not been back to the Tower Theater in over 40 years and a few memories came back from shows seen in olden days. We parked one block away in the 69th street shopping parking area. No charge. Very convenient. Safety is paramount in the theater and we were asked for proof of vaccination or of a negative test - we are vaxxed so it was all good. The staff are all simpatico. Everyone was masked up and each exhibit room was curtained at entry and exit. The virtual reality exhibit was fun too, and all was neat and clean. We learned a few things about the artist during the visit that we had not previously known. None of his paintings were sold when he was alive. The entire exhibit was very enjoyable and I suppose because of the time we went it was not crowded at all and we had plenty of time to enjoy the whole show at our leisure. We were informed that the next immersive might be Monet. Highly recommend. Nancy & Mark.

I went here to check out the Van Gogh exhibit and it was amazing! Peaceful, beautiful, highly recommend!! There's lots of street parking outside (bring quarters -2 hours max at a time) but we were there on a Wednesday morning) It takes less than 2 hours to walk through and sit through the full projections. It's a lot of fun. That projection room is great, could sit in there all day, you learn alot about Van Gogh as well. The gift shop has some cute items. We did the virtual reality experience which was fun. There was someone working that took our picture in the bedroom exhibit and also in that same area someone serving hot tea which was nice.

Went to the Van Gogh experience in Winter 2021. It was pretty neat. The parking was not awful for me as I was able to park on the a side street but I could see it being a challenge for the vast majority. You must bring quarters as I didn't see any digital meters. The area is a bit rough but I did see security. Inside the exhibits are just good. Nothing too crazy a few pictures here or there and some 3D visuals. The large room with all the projections is a collage/timeline of all of his work displayed in an interactive format. It was neat and different. The exhibits are setup in a way were if you take photos standing in a certain position it appears as if you are a part of the artwork.

I had never experienced an immersive museum before my recent visit but after my visit I will be researching similar experiences! I learned so much about Vincent Van Gogh from this experience. I can't even choose my favorite part of the experience because I loved it all! I highly recommend going if you enjoy museums but are looking for something to bring the experience to the next level.

Not located in the greatest area but once you are inside; Its really a nice quaint venue. We just attended the Cat Stevens concert and the crew did a great job with the set. Of course it was a set of a "train station". Great job! The venue is a perfect size and has a great sound. Would def attend another concert here. The restroom had an attendant. Kept clean. Line goes quick. All in all-it was a great concert. Btw; paperless isn't bad if you follow the rules.

This is a revitalization of a movie theater, or almost Vaudeville looking theater from the early 1900s. Complete with a huge marquee outside. It now has 1200 seats and is a perfect venue for viewing concerts on the stage. A couple very positive things to point out besides the fact that it looks absolutely fantastic inside. Number one, the seats are incredible. No I don't mean just the view of the stage, I mean, the actual seats, they are cushioned, in great shape, large, and spacious. Meaning unlike an old theater that you feel like you might need to squeeze in between the arm rails, these chairs are ample. With plenty of legroom, too. Next, this venue is clearly going to be a great deal for the little town, as 1000+ people descend to go to a show, many of them are looking for bars and restaurants to attend. Here the town seems to recognize this! There are volunteers, and even a police presence out front of the venue to make sure that everybody can cross the road safely to the parking lot located across the street. Third is the ease of getting an Uber. While I am unsure of parking at large, I did see a lot across the street, I decided to take an Uber. Very easy to get dropped off, and just a tip I learned, on pick up, place yourself at the nearby Septa train station parking lot and get out of the fray, I called for the Uber when the show ended and by the time I got to the parking lot, my Uber was just pulling in. Overall, just a really nice venue and one that I'm looking forward to visiting again.

I'm going to check them out one day. I'm grateful I finally made "one day" happen. I received the weekly email reminder that The Larry Price Quintet was scheduled to perform. I read the bio and really liked that Larry Price had his students accompanying him. The Venue: Intimate and cozy with a fantastic sound system. The Cuisine: Asian fusion with healthy portions that are huge on flavor! What We Njoyed: Deep Fried Wonton Strips - w/sweet and spicy Asian dipping sauce. 5/5 Suyun's Famous Shrimp Fried Rice (mild and medium) the medium has jalapeño heat and it definitely has a little kick. 5/5 Jamey's Special Wild Caught Rock Shrimp Tempura w/garlic chili aioli, broccoli florets and jasmine rice. 5/5 Lemon Drop Martini and Mitchell & Mitchell Cabernet Sauvignon Everything was delicious and I'm not sure what they season their broccoli with but ummmm yummy! The Performance: Superb.... Standing ovation!! As Jamey mentioned when he introduced Larry Price, "He's been around the world more times than Santa Claus"! Mr. Price certainly has Santa Claus energy and magic on the saxophone. He has to be an extraordinary educator as well since the 4 young men that made up the whole of the quintet sounded as if they have been playing for decades. I wish all of them much success in their future endeavors! The Staff: We were greeted by Jamey when we walked in. The gentleman working the bar, the lovely waitress that single handedly worked the entire venue and the Chef's were all delightful and a major part of why I'll return. If you enjoy live music, great food, great people and a cozy lounge atmosphere, treat yourself to a show at Jamey's House of Music. [895] 4/7/2019…read moreJazz music.. amazing!! Since Jamey's offer a Sunday brunch we decided to check this place out. We parked across the street. There is also plenty of parking next door at the train station so don't let this busy street stop you from coming in. The music was awesome. Sounds like it is a sign in and play day. The talent was AMAZING!!! The stage was large with tons of seating. You can see the top notch sound system on hand. We sat in the front area (sounds like there may be a back dining room as well). There was 8 of us in a room that seats about 12. The food was amazing (check out my pics)!! We loved every single bite! Not a single complaint from any of us... My only issues were that the food took forever to come (over an hour but not a big deal in the scheme of thing). From the dining area we could not see the talent but we enjoyed the sound. They need a TV screen so we can watch from the dining area. The waitress was a teen that was DEFINITELY not properly trained. We had to go up and get our own napkins, forks, spoons. etc... And we cleaned up after ourselves. The friendly teen was definitely overwhelmed as there was a customer coming to complain about wait time. They had an older lady that was near the sign up that was doing nothing. She saw us going to grab silverware and didn't offer to help.. just moved out of the way so we can help ourselves. No smile when I paid (over $100 for our crew). I also came with my own "Birthday" table sign and wore a birthday sash .. one would think ONE person would say happy birthday or acknowledge our large table? nope The place was packed by the time we finished eating so no place to sit and watch the talent. So for next brunch.... I will order.. then sit and watch the talent and take my food to go... . The food and music is so worth it... I will also come back on a paid talent night. .I can only imagine how cool that will be. I'll definitely be back.
