This is situated on the army barracks at Shorncliffe and used to be the Christian Barracks Church. Now that the Ghurkha regiment have built their own place of worship the MOD sold it off, and the local am dram society bought it and converted into a fabulous modern theatre.
We went to see a number of events here - including a comedy night and a panto. The bar and sweet shop is manned by the volunteers from the am dram society and the prices are VERY reasonable - we paid £2 for a large glass of wine, and 50p for sweeties - which is refreshing in this day and age. Very safe, well converted with facinating photo display of the conversion. Comfortable seating, if a little old fashioned and a bit on the small side for those of us with larger bottoms! read more
