The worker recommended a deep cleanse facial. She told me to come back 10 minutes later and she could do it, so I did. When I first arrived to the room where the facial was happening I tried to get under the blanket, as I was cold, and she told me not to. During the facial the worker was careless with the ways she applied products to my skin and caused me a lot of pain during the extractions, even when I told her that it hurt she continued. My skin was burning and red as a result. At the end of the facial she lazily put a cream on my face but didn't care enough to properly blend it in. I had to go to the bathroom after so that I could blend it in myself, which is when I noticed the mascara all over my eyes that she hadn't taken off at the beginning of the facial. For the 1 hour service that I paid for I believe she was in the room for half that time. She washed my face quickly at the beginning and put me under a steamer for 10 min during which she left the room. She did this once more towards the end when she put a mask on my skin after the extractions (that burned) and then left once more while it dried. For the price of the service I expected more, especially when I explained my skin concerns beforehand, highlighting the fact that my skin was extremely sensitive. There was no peaceful music playing and overall the vibe was horrible. I do not recommend, my skin is still irritated and red hours after this facial from hell and I am noticing new pimples that I did not have before. I have never not tipped on a service like this, but this time I was so sad and enraged that I paid the price and left without giving or saying more.

All I can say is an outstanding experience from beginning to end. Totally professional, tip top shave, and the added benefit of cleaning up my neck and sideburns. I now live in the downtown core and even though I have numerous options within walking distance, I still make the trek out to Discovery Ridge to get my hair cut and beard trimmed. The place is always busy when I arrive but I'm always greeted by a smile and warm "hello". No matter who's working, you're sure to get a great cut, but Ed and Alex are amazing! We had a loss in the family and my husband was struggling for the past few days and I said why don't you get a hair cut at the new place a few steps from where we live and when he came home he had a huge smile, he has not smiled in days and he went on how great the staff was and all the hair techniques they used. He is a client for life so everyone please go see these guys (85th street in the SW by No Frills). I needed to say thank you for getting him to smile again even if just for a bit - it was just a hair cut but it meant a lot to see him smile. Thank you
