I was most impressed with his counseling one of my colleagues in the late 1970's and early 1980's who had terminal cancer as a very young woman .. When I needed counseling support in the 1980's I chose him based on my knowledge of his work with my colleague .. He was excellent and provided me the type of support I needed to heal at that time .. When I hit a low and missed an appointment, I was never contacted by phone or email, simply sent a $90 missed appointment fee. Some therapists subscribe to the bootstraps philosophy of "just be more positive!" when it comes to treating mental illness, and I don't know how they get away with it. Worse, though, is the total lack of empathy evident in NEVER contacting a patient with a diagnosed social anxiety disorder and depression when they miss an appointment to see if they're okay - except to ask them for money.

But if you have a career centered on helping people, you figure you want to make sure people are ok. She also was going to charge me for a late fee for something that was abrupt and out of my control and I gave her nearly a 2 hour heads up that I might not make it. This place is a money pit, avoid it.

My Mom is so happy, saying every-time the staff enter her room it's with a smile and "how are you?" She needed the sticky socks, a towel and some ice and each time I requested an item, it took less than 5 minutes to get it. There will always be some bad reviews with every business. That's part of business. But this is our experience, and we cannot say enough about every aspect. Just remembered a shocking moment...she threw something in her trash and it made a somewhat loud clang. Someone came right in Making sure she was ok You just don't get that attention everywhere.
