My favorite thing to look at here is always the shoes, expect to spend at least $200 on a pair of shoes. But, they're shoes you can't find anywhere else in town. **A note for this year (2025): they had a pair of shoes I wanted that were from Italy, and upon messaging the brand directly, I do believe I avoided some hefty tariff fees by buying the shoes IRL here. Food for thought. I don't often shop in person at all anymore (I'm a major e-bay fanatic), but being able to go in and try on different sizes is incredibly nice. I ended up getting a pair of jeans and shoes in a different size than what I would have ordered online. They have dresses anywhere from $100-$2k, with all the brands like Zimmerman, Staud, etc. They have Mother jeans and my all time fav jeans brand, Mousy -- which were 50% off yesterday!! I wandered into Soca after having some less than pleasant shopping experiences at other stores along the street and was surprised to be warmly greeted and assisted. The store has lots of options but is supremely organized and the staff is beyond helpful with assisting you while shopping. I didn't expect to find much because the window displays left me thinking they would only cater to really small sizes, but that wasn't the case. I ended up having quite a few items placed into a fitting room. The fitting area is relatively small but the attendant was awesome and event helped me decide which pieces to buy. Ugh, I couldn't believe I was THAT person who picked up 10,000 things not expecting them to work then having to make some decisions when they all did. Soca is definitely on my list of places to stop during my next Birmingham visit!
