Antiques? Tchotchkes? Old glassware? Things you loved from your grandmother's house? They have it all and more here in this large, almost overwhelmingly big shop that also includes vendor booths. It was more like an indoor mall and I could have spent hours here. It literally takes up approximately 4 storefronts and wraps around to the next street. I found a few of the items in the individually rented/owned booth area to be overpriced as compared to items in the general area which were more reasonable. After purchasing an antique piece, I inquired about a similar piece. The nice lady at the check out referred me to a phone number for the owner. I was told he had one piece I was interested in at the warehouse. After 3 weeks I called back and got the run around by another lady. This guy is a terrible businessman. This isn't a tiny antique shop. It's an antique mall with hundreds of vendor booths. There are all kinds of bric-a-brac to peruse. The prices are very reasonable at most booths. I purchased an adorable collectible Westie planter for just $8.00. I could of spent hours, but had to move on to the holiday festivities going on in this quaint Main Street town. There are many more antique shops here too, including another Town Center Antiques location at 113 Main Street. This place is definitely worth a visit. read more

Love this place! Or is it places? Huge antique and whimsy shop in the center of Berlin excites many of all ages. There is so much variety. I really love the antique wall coverings such as pictures, needlework, and mirrors. Antique dolls and toys are fun. Prices are right, and you can often find a bargain. Now, this is a hardcore Antique shop. One of three locations, Town Center is the oldest building and merchandise wise. It checks all the boxes one could draw up for what an Antique shop would have: older building smell, a lot of merchandise, and all sizes and prices. Come prepared to take your time and walk through the whole store as it is above average size wise. The main part of the store has the higher end items right at the front near the register and then the side rooms are the more traditional vendor rented areas where depending on the seller you'll see the trend/theme of the merchandise. We found some great deals on tins and other household items to display on our walls and shelves for sure! Note: I noticed the folks that threw in the 1-Star reviews due to their concerns about the history and background of merchandise being sold and/or the comments made by an employee. One thing I encourage potential buyers to consider is that these locations are used by dozens of vendors. If one were to boycott the entire building, there will be sellers that may well 100% agree with your viewpoint but still lose out of sale due to the presence of objectionable items from unrelated vendors or comments made by a cashier. Boycott that particular seller if you want to make an impact with your wallet, but to carte blanche rule out the rest of the inventory, keeping in mind that there's only so many places these sellers can afford to rent out booths at, seems unproductive to the whole support small business mindset this kind of shops promote. read more

This place is huge and kinda overwhelming. I actually walked out of there empty handed. It was kinda great to see pieces I own at marked up prices! I was like ha I got a deal on that or hmm I could get that for this if I sold it on ebay etc. Some neat things, but nothing of note really. Definitely fun to peruse, but by the end I was sick of it. What do you get when 50 old ladies donate all of their stuff to one place? Anyone? Bueller? Ok, let me fill in the blank. Town Center Antiques. My wife wanted to check out where they filmed Runaway Bride and I guess I owed her for letting me listen to Cinemagic on XM on the way to OC, so this is where we ended up. Seeing as it was the middle of winter, there weren't a lot of options in Berlin, but since I'm enjoying that American Pickers show on History, I figured it wouldn't be too bad. Well 2 hours later, we finally emerged, empty handed and amazed with all the stuff this place had. No joke, it is huge and there are some nifty things here, but nothing stood out as something we needed to get. They do have a nice collection of toys, magazines, and glasses, but honestly, I felt many of the desirable things were well overpriced. The one thing we did emerge with was the scent of mothballs and old people. We probably won't be back, even on another stop in Berlin. read more

Just had an extremely uncomfortable experience with the owner, who chooses to prominently display mammy / blackface dolls in his stores. When we asked why he sold them and suggested that they might reinforce racism, he showed us to the door. Please do not shop at this store. read more

Nice little store, actually love looking around here and spending some time here. The reason for the one star is the woman who works the counter. She's not polite and she's very fake. She's been rude to me more than once. I've heard her be rude to other customers. Today I went in to look around and I had something in mind to buy, I got there 20 mins before close so I was planning on being quick. When I walked in I was told ' we close in 10 mins' then she immediately started turning off lights and started to close. I could tell I wasn't welcome so I left. Horrible representation of the business. They rent booths out and people sell stuff. I bet the people paying rent to sell there would love to know she turns away sales. read more

This totally would have had a great review if it wasn't for the "cold" cashier...! New at little antique store, decently priced, and I always find something fun! Well, my Mom and I were standing in line to check out and the lady in front of is was buying a pro-Hillary button...we are so anti Hillary, needless to say it sparked a convo between my Mom and I. The cashier was SUPER friendly with the ladies in front of us, to the point where our conversation lasted a bit while we waited for them to finish their friendly conversation...when it was our turn, the cashier was SO cold to us. We even tried friendly chatting, but we were essentially cut off. No smile, no politeness, she did not want to be friendly to us at all...so obviously to us she didn't approve of our conversation! Maybe she should be out in back to stock boxes with that attitude...just saying. Can't be rude to people whose opinion you do not share! read more

You could spend hours inside this antique mall looking at everything all the various booths have to offer. Even though everything isn't "antique" it's all interesting to look at and roam through. Towne Center always has the best prices on things I've seen at other shops before and even in other shops in Berlin. I almost always buy something to compliment our coastal style or because the price is too good to pass up. read more

If there were a ZERO rating for cistomer service alone, I would have given it! After a great May Day in Berlin, MD. today, we wandered into the Town Center Antiques store. It was 5:20PM on one of the busiest days in Berlin off season. After browsing for about 5 minutes, the owner ( I assume...) began turning out lights and announced in no uncertain terms that the store was closing! Basically, "get out"! Our granddaughter was interested in a purchase but the "gentleman" informed her that "I won't take your money" and that we should "come back tomorrow", (Mother's Day). I can only assume he didn't need our business...and we won't be going back! read more

Town Center Antiques has two locations along the same street. Both locations were great! They have a wide variety of items for sale. The employees are friendly and the prices are extremely reasonable. I can't wait to go back again. read more

Very enjoyable experience in which my husband & I both found lots of great items! It is an all-afternoon event, considering there are two locations to search through. I have been to both shops many times since we have been visiting OC in the last 3 years--I never leave empty handed--my latest find was a large basket filled with 5-6 very large conch shells and a collection of other types of coral, starfish, sand dollars, etc--the whole lot for $12--Usually when I find conch shells in shops they go for around $10-15 each! I had fun decorating my apt with them. There is a lady also there who hand sews American Girl Doll clothes--I usually buy an outfit or two for my grand-daughter at a fraction of what they sell for in the catalogues. These things are not antiques--but there are many of them to be found also at very reasonable prices! I am already looking forward to my next visit! read more
