Just a wonderful store. I wish as store owners were as friendly. There was a great selection and great prices.

2 issues.... 1:…read moreEverything is absurdly expensive. Why even have a thrift store if its going to be more expensive than a regular stores 2: There was an older lady blatantly profiling people and hovered over people while we shopped which made the experience so uncomfortable. So many people walked in with bags/purses but pulled my sister aside to make her zip it up and make sure it was closed. Also made a couple rude comments "being in the way" even though the store was packed.

The reviews don't even begin to do justice to how bad this thrift store is. Not a single item in…read morethat store is worth even a third of what they price it at. I bought three things--all clothing--and somehow spent almost $50. The environment itself is extremely unprofessional. The owner and employees were yelling across the store and having loud, casual conversations with each other while customers were trying to shop. On top of constantly having to listen to that, the store is completely overpacked, tight, and cramped. There are sections with essentially no outlet, making it very easy to feel trapped if someone else walks into the aisle while you're in it. There is so much clothing packed into the space that things look like they could fall at any given moment. It genuinely feels like a safety hazard. The selection made the entire experience even worse. I browsed for over an hour and found only three things I even considered buying. Considering how difficult and uncomfortable it is to simply move around and shop in the store, the selection is absolutely not worth the trouble. What I found most frustrating, though, is that nothing has a price tag on it. You're forced to carry around anything you're interested in without knowing how much it costs until you're ready to check out. And when you are ready, there isn't even necessarily someone behind the counter--you have to go find the owner and ask her to check you out. She then looks at what you have and prices the items one by one, including using Google Lens to look them up, and in my experience still charged more than what comparable items appeared to be going for. By that point, you're standing at the register with everything you picked out and it creates an awkward pressure to buy it. If individual items simply had price tags, customers could see the price while shopping and decide whether something is within their budget before getting to the register. The parking situation somehow makes things even worse. The spaces are already angled and tight, and there are items and pieces of furniture sitting along the side of the store, making it even harder to back out without worrying about hitting something. I typically do not care about a bad experience at a store enough to leave a negative review. In fact, this is the first time I've ever felt the need to do so. But between how awful my experience was and the owner asking me several times if I would be willing to write a good review, I felt this was more than necessary. I could not recommend a thrift store less, and I've been to many thrift stores all along the East Coast. This was by far one of the worst places I've spent my time and money. If you're in Ocean City and want to thrift, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I personally had a much better experience at Diakonia Thrift Store, where I found significantly better pieces that were actually priced reasonably. I would not return to Thrift and Treasures OCMD, and I absolutely would not recommend it.
