Do not let that deter you from visiting this park, all up and down The Gulf Coast, from Texas to Florida you will find that type of wild life, even on The East Coast all the way up to North Carolina. Nice boardwalk for a stroll with your doggo. I did not get a chance to travel the entire length of the boardwalk because I heard a lot of thunder, the sky was clear, so I left and within ten minutes it rained ( storms are common here, but usually brief, in fact it rains every afternoon in the summer). If you are staying at the RV park you can use the area to fish even if you don't have a boat. The area is so nice because it is a combination of wild area and water. The restrooms are also nice and clean. The bathroom areas are all private. Each bathroom has a shower also. It was nice peaceful and quiet. We did get to see some gators and husband caught some fish. The park is conveniently located just a few miles from the USS Alabama ship and museum. If you want to go somewhere a little more upscale Fairhope is only an about a 20 minute drive. It is outside of town, but within minutes you have grocery and retail shopping.

This is a peaceful little park right off the highway and on Mobile Bay with a beautiful water view…read moreand lots to do. There are picnic tables and swings, as well as a pier that will give you a peaceful break from your drive or just to enjoy a beautiful sunset or sunny day. There are nature paths and you can make your way over to a little beach area nearby. If the water is high, access might be a little difficult, and yes, you really should watch out for wildlife. The sign says that night fishing is allowed off the pier, so that's cool. I wish I could have explored the area a bit more, but I was very happy to find Bayfront during my stay!
