Cars, trucks and all types of other vehicles just bustling through town like everybody knew where they were going except us. Nice little town and our guide was our cousin, who was giving us directions on how to get to what remains of the farm. We were given directions to Franklin Street where the farm house still exist. I always wanted to visit here because of the history that was told to me by relatives. The farm house still looks beautiful and is very well kept. We were told that the house had been here since 1749, and the original owner was Elisha Knight. I will probably never make it back here but, at least I got my chance in time to visit here. It started raining on Tuesday and it is chilly outside but, the colors on the maple trees are gorgeous and very picturesque to say the least. I have no clue of what to give this review since I would be playing favorites. I hope some of you make it here on the same time of year as I did.

I grew up in Stoneham and wouldn't ever say the people here are a bunch of "blue collar, no class" because has he even been to Stoneham? There are the rich snobby families just like anywhere else. Where did this guy grow up? Okay driving down Main St isn't the whole thing buddy. I believe every town has a Main Street, no? Am I wrong? Are no other towns are busy on their main road? Hmm so weird. We're right on two major highways, how is this not a perfect location. About or less than a ten minute drive once on 93 to Boston; without traffic; ehhm, how is that beat? My neighborhood has a neighborhood feel. If you're a crab and don't talk to people or aren't friendly, yes, you won't have a neighborhood feel. But in my neighborhood, we're always at someone's BBQ or bon fire.. 4th of July, I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else besides in my neighborhood. So many festivities to participate in! The school systems are.. from what I know, semi improving since recent years. All new elementary schools and I pray the Middle School is next. I am 24, so I am unaware of the school systems now since I have been out of that for a while and also not looking because I don't have children. If my parents were to leave me their house, I'd gladly accept it and raise my family here. And to say to get to Revere.... buddy; pathetic. We're like four towns over, get your geography right, jerk off.

My main problem with the town is the people who work for it…read more When I moved in, I registered to vote, and updated my address at the RMV. However, the town still had the old residents listed at my location for excise tax purposes because the town was sending the old residents tax bills which I had returned to the town. As a result, the town didn't send me an excise tax bill until after it was due. I spoke to the tax collector over the phone, and was told I wouldn't be charged any late fee, and to pay online. When I paid online, I had to pay the late fee. The tax collector had lied to me because she didn't want to defend her mistake.

I've been Reading up on Massachusetts towns, and I found a lot of new ones that I want to go visit…read more One of many that I've already visited is Reading MA. It's absolutely gorgeous here. Not far from Peabody and Salem, in the north suburbs, it's being swallowed up by Boston's northwards expansion, but still retains a charm and is part of an amazing greater Boston area. Named after the important city in England that I know well, and nothing like it. A lovely and calm community with not much crime, and having friends here, I've stayed here on half a dozen locations and I'm sure I will again.

Saugus is one of those small towns that is extremely convenient to Boston. Located only a few miles…read morenorth of Boston you have a small town filled with side, roads woods, connecting with the Lynnwood's. And you're also streets away from Route one for all the hustle and bustle restaurants shopping at etc. The town hall is still very personable. You can walk in and to speak to anyone in any of the departments, the clerks office, etc.. most of the houses that are off the Main Street very quiet and surrounded by beautiful hundred foot trees. Pricing for homes is about average for being within 20 miles of Boston. However, the lot size is usually a bit larger here than in cities like Revere and Everett and Malden. One great thing about Saugus is that you can actually drink the tapwater as they have one of the best reservoirs in the state. Taxes are about average for the Northshore. I'm not familiar with the high school, but they built a brand new high school within the last decade which you can see driving up and down Route one looks quite large in modern. The Townhall must be 100 or 200 years old and has a lot of history as there's a few other buildings downtown. All in all I would assume that this would be a great place to raise children. This is just a guess. As whenever I go downtown to the post office to Townhall. Everyone is nice it seems like a great little town.

Let's go to the Mall Den!…read more Malden is a middle-income suburb north of Boston which has a few poor areas that are similar to Everett and Somerville and is a gateway to the North Shore and the real Bostonians if you like - but it has a little bit of everything and they have a really nice Kung Fu Tea up here as well. My friend Gus came here, but when I visited, I never Saw Gus. Get it…read more This is a suburb of Boston, the old school beachside part of Boston north of Revere and south of Salem. I've been here many times, and I can recommend 2 pizza places up here as well, and a roast beef spot, as this part of Boston is famous for its Roast Beef sandwiches, made in a style that only Boston makes them. The Duchovny movie (with Demi and Amber in it) was filmed in this town... The Joneses. They also have the Iron Works here, the first one in the US. And it's close to a lot of heavenly beaches, the likes of which you'd never know Boston had, unless you know, and visit for yourself.

Its also home to the Rumney Marsh, Prankers Pond, and Breakheart Reservation. There is a ton of cool wildlife thanks to that. I walked down to the pond and saw a beautiful heron and a few orioles.
