Not the most appealing place from the outdoors as the building itself is very old. Indoors isn't much more modern. But you don't come here for the ambience you come here for the donuts. All of the donuts are great, but the Boston cream is where it's at. The donuts are soft pillows, almost like fried dough with a slight crunch to the exterior, and then airy filled with cream and covered with chocolate frosting. Don't get nervous if the rack looks bare, they have fresh donuts that are fried in the back that have just not been frosted or filled yet which they will do to order if needed. Service is usually quick and friendly. The only downside is they are open only a couple days a week and inevitably when I am craving a donut it turns out to be a day. They are not open.. read more

Donuts are always good I've been going for years, but staff at the counter is very rude for some reason.

This is our second favorite donut shop, after Allie's in North Kingstown. This place has delicious glazed donuts. I love that it is local and independent. The one bummer is that when we went for eat-in breakfast once, the actual breakfast was very disappointing. The eating environment felt dirty, and service was very sparse (because the donut line is so long!) So when we come again, we will stick to picking up donuts to go, which they are super at! read more

Good old fashioned donut shop. You want real donuts this is the place. Hasn't changed since they opened in I think 1978? Maybe. Plain donut has a nice crunch to the outside delicious on the inside. There's not a donut shop that I know of within 100 miles that comes close to the quality of these donuts and other baked goods. The donuts are fresh, extremely yummy, and there's a wonderful variety. The Boston cream were written up in the Boston Globe and you can see why. But the glazed and other assorted flavors are also excellent. There are chain donut shops nearby, and I can't understand why anyone would buy a donut at the chain store when they could get one at town donut. Always a conundrum. Take a chance just once and buy your donut here instead of across the street or next door and you'll be very happy you did. read more

The five star rating is purely for their magical goodness donuts. I've been here before, and it's always been the same experience walking in. It's like a time warp. Twirling bar seats are lined up with old men gossiping and drinking an endless supply of coffee. The place probably hasn't been renovated since the 80's if not earlier. And I'm okay with that. Their donuts are absolutely delicious! I forgot dessert for my lunch guests and needed something quick, so I opted for a half dozen ($5.99) Boston cream, vanilla frosted and chocolate frosted. Yum! My guests raved over the donuts. Most tried to be good and only eat small pieces, but couldn't resist! For a dozen donuts it's $9.99 great bargain! They do accept credit cards and debit cards. Debit cards no extra fee, but if you run as credit they do charge an extra 50¢. Go step back in time and enjoy the best donuts in Dartmouth/Fall River area! read more

Small donut and coffee shop. Red barn style you cant miss it! We went late in the afternoon so variety was limited to 3 donuts. However the two that we did get were beyond fresh and sooo delish! Donuts were big. Thickly frosted. Staff were friendly and price was a little high. $1.80 each donut. In my opinion thats a tad much..however it was well worth it. The donuts basically melted in your mouth thanks to the freshness! Would return for sure. I had the chocolate frosted twist and glazed. read more

We've lived in Dartmouth for almost 12 years, and FINALLY we got some donuts from you today (7/11/2021)... WOW! They were fantastic! (Honey Dipped / Plain (old fashioned) / Chocolate Covered Lemon-Filled) Once I was inside your shoppe, only then did I realize that you serve breakfast, also. ... I cannot find your website with detailed information, though. What DOES appear on "Yelp" are a few lines of info, but your hours of operation are not clear. Your shoppe had a sign inside that you serve breakfast from 7-11 on weekends, but had I not been inside there today, anything you do with breakfasts etc. I would not be aware of. Anyway: We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your donuts and we WILL be back... probably for breakfast... Come for the donuts only, dont bother with there breakfast menu. If you see an items on the customers plate that your going to serve is burnt, dump it and start over. Noone wants to eat burned food. read more

Best donuts around, however they consistently run out of donuts by 930 even though they are open until noon. Furthermore don't need to feel belittled when asking if since they are still open until noon if they are going to be making more donuts. Not good customer service. read more

Also placed a pickup order over the phone and called back to confirm the day before... was told they "may" be ready, but depending on the snow (predicted to be less than 2 inches), they weren't sure. Stopped by early this morning and the donuts were already extremely limited. They offered to make more, but I was impatient. I've been here multiple times, and even returning everything is always delicious. My favorite is the Boston Creme donut! I bought half a dozen donuts which costs $5.99 which seemed reasonable considering Dunkin Donuts charges the same price for absolute trash. Overall, it's definitely a must try! read more
