The furniture looks amazing, and is heavy from use of solid wood throughout, but unfortunately the…read moredevil is in the details. Of the two pieces we ordered, both had issues. Drawers did not line up correctly after delivery and we had to fidget to get them aligned properly. Not that big of an issue and not a deal breaker. But, that's when we discovered some troubling quality assurance issues which were sadly the nail in the coffin so to speak which results in both pieces being sent back for a refund. It's completely unacceptable to pay such a high price for furniture and have every single screw miss the rear support spars (you can see the points of the screws missing every spar in one of the pics). There's some basic math/measuring that should simply not occur when buying this supposed quality level of furniture. Also not sure why each piece had odd markings/marker notes on them. And you can see a piece of the backerboard was crushed. Again, where's the QC? We had waited anxiously for them and was sadly disappointed. For those who are sensitive to smells/chemicals, I'd also suggest leaving them outside after delivery since they ship them off as soon as they're built. This results in quite a bit of off-gassing. Not pleasant to sleep in a room that smells of chemicals. I really wish none of these QC issues had occurred with our delivery/furniture because I really did like them but at the end of day, even I.kea furniture has better QC.

Then two years later we contacted them again, and ordered a customized curio cabinet to match our hutch. Then this year we contacted them again for another curio cabinet, this time in a different configuration. And once again they customized it so all three pieces of furniture match. This company is amazing to work with, are very responsive, and create furniture that far exceeds my expectations. I was told they couldn't be adjusted because of the type of frame I purchased. While I was in Mattoon, I decided to stop in -- and I am sooo glad that I did! Melody took her time and explained that the issue was actually with my lenses, not the frame itself. She was able to adjust my glasses perfectly, and they finally fit comfortably. Maybe just put the garlic butter on the inside. A large iced tea is nearly $6... I dont think i've ever seen iced tea in small, medium, & large. Iced tea should come in one size, free refills, & no more than $2. I wanted tea but just got a water instead. The potato salad was okay. Oh, and keep a menu on the table so you can compare the listed prices with your bill. It felt like we were charged an extra $1 for each of our sandwiches but maybe not.

Mervin knew exactly what I wanted and even offered a suggestion I hadn't thought of. The contractor he recommended to do the gravel pad was so meticulous, I was glad I didn't try to tackle it myself. When my 16X24 garage was delivered the crew worked in a way that there was absolutely no time wasted and the jobsite was immaculate when they left. The fit and finish are so much better than what you'd see at the lots with a few different sized sheds on display. Visit Miller's lot outside Arthur and you'll see the craftsmanship in everything they build.
