Beautiful Christmas tree the General Manager had put in my room since I will be here over the holidays.
    Kaitlyn C.

When I checked in in September, I was supposed to be here for 60 days. However, circumstances have changed, and I'm looking at 190 or more days. When I first checked in, the hotel was a little short-staffed, but they were still friendly and responsive to my requests. My birthday was in November, and the staff went out of their way to make it special. They made me a special breakfast, cookies, and gave me a present. It was all waiting for me when I went down that morning for breakfast. They have been prompt to respond to any maintenance or housekeeping requests. A few times, they have had to move my full clean day due to heavy checkouts, but they have been prompt about completing it the next day. They are happy to receive my packages and hold them until I can pick them up. Today I came home to find the cutest Christmas tree in my room with a note from Jess, the GM. Since I will be away from my family for the holidays, they wanted to do something nice for me. While living in a hotel isn't anyone's first choice, if you have to do it, Townplace Suites is a cute, clean, cozy place to be.

When in Clovis this will be our go to place. It looks pretty new so it's clean and nice. The construction crew actually did such a beautiful job on the shower tiling that we thought it was a shower surround at first, but upon closer looking you see it's just gorgeous grout lines!!! The hard part was figuring out where the entrance to the hotel was. The guy that greeted us was friendly and welcoming, but forgot to tell us there's breakfast available so we had to grab fruit and yogurt to go. The rooms are small, but perfect with everything you need. We do recommend staying here. We were in room 107, which is the pool view.

Underside of rubber stopper in kitchen sink. Filthy - disgusting!

Ever see a car tumbling off a cliff in slo-mo? I've stayed here many times over the years. When the hotel first opened, it was great. It's gone steadily downhill. It's dirty and poorly maintained. Housekeeping is a joke. I notified management on my first day about a flickering track light, sent a note a few days later to remind them, and never even heard back. The rear exit door, which I've always relied on, was broken during my entire stay. Housekeeping threw away perfectly good soap, kitchen sponges, etc, and laundered my towels that I'd hung up - huge waste of resources including energy and the water that is in such desperately short supply in eastern New Mexico. When I wrote them a note asking them to please only take out the trash and not change my towels, they threw away my soap and sponge and did not bother to replace them! The breakfast bar was poorly stocked - not even any butter for the first three days. Clearly, the hotel is under poor management that is running it into the ground. Given the sheer quantity of irksome issues on all fronts, I won't be staying here again.

We were surely fooled by all the positive reviews provided and were very confident with our booking before arrival. When we arrived, it was obvious our room was not properly cleaned... We all know what can happen in a hotel, but no one wants to see evidence throughout the room they've paid for. When brought to an employees attention, they had housekeeping come clean, but they left stains on the lower part of the mirror and didn't touch any of the markings all over the window. The pillowcases they replaced for us were left on our lounge chair. We provided a video (pictures of the video attached, I hope it suffices) to management and requested just a nights refund (we stayed for the weekend) The manager couldn't provide a credit but offered us points, claiming a nights stay ranged from 13000-15000 points; She then followed up with an offer of 1000 points. It was overall something I'd never want to experience again in the hospitality industry. The only thing we enjoyed was the tv channel selection.

This motel puts the Wyndham brand to shame. My first experience coming into this motel was waiting 15 minutes for someone to come to the front desk. Then they complained because I had a debit card instead of a credit card. Since when do you need good credit to stay at a motel? I have plenty of money to cover my stay. I payed for the Executive King Suite. When I entered my motel room I immediately noticed that the flooring wasn't very securely fastened to the ground. There are little air pockets all throughout the floor and when you step on them they creak like an old house. I also noticed several places where the flooring didn't meet up with the wall and showed the bare concrete underneath. The next thing I noticed was that no matter how hard I tried, I could not get the curtains on the window to stay closed. There was also about a half inch gap at the bottom right side of the entry door and evidence of someone chipping away at the weather seal to make the door shut. The top door hinges were warped and you could see where it entered the wooden door through a broken up crack. There is a door that leads into the neighboring room that also has its fair share of cracks. Also, the bathroom doesn't have a fan, only a vent hole. There are clear signs of water damage on the ceiling in the bathroom and a wooden panel that sticks out like a sore thumb right next to the toilet. There is a strange attic entry looking door right above the shower head. The back plate that normally covers the hole that the shower head goes through was just hanging freely on the pipe. Because the bathroom doesn't have a fan or a floor drain, any water that gets in the floor takes forever to evaporate. We needed up using one of our towels to temporarily soak the water up. There was a chopped off telephone wire just dangling out of the wall next to the side of the bed. Also, the support beam for the room and this section of the building is exposed, making the entire thing feel incomplete. Overall, a horrible experience. They have proven that they only bandage up really bad problems to attempt to cover up customer concerns and keep brining in profit.

Great staff. Old hotel. Need to update the facility. Decent morning breakfast. A little stinky…read moreoverall. Bed comfortable. Found someone elses hair in my bathroom. Clovis appears to be a depressed area overall. Again staff made up for its oldness.
