The worst customer service ever they tried to put me in a rat infested apartment I paid rent and deposit for a unit on my move in day I found the evidence of mice/rat infestation etc it was horrible the apartment had not been cleaned the management and staff were all horrible they should be replaced!!! Trying to fix a leak on the pavement left the yard disgusting. Mice in the walls because they installed sinks that extend to the back wall and they have no solution. Made the yard muddy with wires and caution tape left everywhere after they finished. Horrible. Lived here 2 years and it's getting uninhabitable. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. If you don't mind living with roaches, mice, and replacing your furniture due to bed bugs this is the place for you. While I was moving in my neighbor warned me of all these problems that I mentioned but it was too late for me, I already signed my lease. When I got there she was pretty much sleeping in her car because of an infestation of pests. The property manager was very rude and uncooperative after one attempt by the exterminator. I told her that I continued to see bug, I sent pictures and argued with her daily. I had to throw all my furniture away because I was advised not to move it into my new place. I actually worked for this property. Very short lived. Feb.2021to April.2021 Started a new position April 26th! This was the absolute worst work experience I have ever encountered. This property is unorganized. Maintenance never addressed any issues. The property manager Tammie wants to not only be property manager but also a leasing agent, maintenance tech. and maintenance supervisor. If you can not trust the people you hire to do their job then do it your got damn self. Myself and two other leasing agents left do to such an awful and hostile work environment, leaving no leasing agents in the office. They do not care about the residents at all, I honestly feel bad for the residents who live here. Oh, they also owe me money saying they mailed my last paycheck but I never got it lol. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!! I moved here at the end of July and it's only august 10th and since then I have seen FIVE MICE. Me and my roomate hear them constantly scratching and squealing within the walls! It's so BAD we can't even sleep at night! when we call the front desk NO ONE ANSWERS! WE HAVE YET TO SEE MAINTENANCE they were supposed to come within the first week of us moving in and we haven't seen them YET. I haven't been here 2 months yet. Signed a lease (my fault due to covid) without seeing the apartment. The living space is large. No other good qualities. The amenities (gym, yoga studio) aren't available after 5 pm - due to covid. (I actually WORK until 5 pm). Washer and dryer (originally discussed) wasn't there. Handle of tub broke off in my hand during week 3. They turned OFF my water for A WEEK!!! I was on my own finding places to shower. Still a hole in the tub/shower - a hole so big you can see the front door from the BATHTUB. No return phone calls. No customer service. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE. IT IS A MAJOR MICE AND ROACH PROBLEM! I had an "updated" apartment which I loved upon first seeing it. After moving in February 2020, I saw evidence of mice and roaches. Informed management and was ignored for months. I had to take matters into my own hands and started putting down traps. I caught 7 mice in ONE HOUR. Took pictures to prove it. They still ignored me. After all was said and done, I felt like I should be getting paid for extermination r they should have bought me a cat. I caught well over 40 mice in my apartment alone. My family member moved in a couple weeks after me in a different building, she's been having maintenance issues the entire time (one bathroom is completely unusable). Even though its no mice and roaches in their unit, they are experiencing issues that make living there unbearable. Everyone in the management office is rude + malicious + will lie to get your money. The people that work in the leasing office are extremely RUDE and LAZY especially Trina at the 1st desk as soon as you walk into the leasing office. She has a nasty ass attitude for no reason. She's the main one I have an issue with because she's the main one with the attitude problem. 5 days after Memorial Day. Pool has seemed to be open for the past 3 days. However, today I was at the pool and at 5:15pm, the police were called by the property manager to have the police remove everyone from the pool because for the last three days someone hopped the fence to open the gates and let everyone in. The pool is directly under the leasing center and the employees in there for the last 3 days never said a word to the large amount of people using the pool. Even the police thought it was crazy! They claim the pool is still not open because there is no lifeguard. It takes that long for a lifeguard? Valet trash is a convenient service at $25 a month , however some tenets put their trash outside there door which attracts rodents. I currently live in Dallas but am moving back to MD in the next 8 weeks. I had emailed Sheena, roughly 3-4 weeks ahead of time to schedule a tour for the 1 day I'd be in town. Long story made short, I showed up for my appointment and was "greeted" by a woman who told me "Well, she's not here today" when I explained I had a 3:30pm appointment to view an apartment. Repeating the fact that I still had an appointment and I hoped to get the tour I was there for, she said "Uh, well... things happen but let me see if the other leasing agent can show you around". Ok--so there is only 1 other leasing agent on a Friday afternoon at 3:30. We walk through the glass doors to the leasing center that smelled like mildew & as soon as the leasing agent saw me, she held up her hand and said "No, I'm on my lunch break." To which the woman who "greeted" me responded with; "I guess you'll have to come back another day". Are you joking? This is how you treat a prospective resident? I was in Towson for work, for one day & had a scheduled appointment. Regardless of whether or not the individual I had an appointment with was there, the way I was treated due to a minor mishap was indicative of how I would be treated had I gotten the tour, loved the apartment & signed. I just wanted to give a HUGE shoutout to dominique, buzios, ms Debbie, Ron and benard. I'm a new move-in and there were a couple things that needed to be fixed in my apartment. God only knows how they managed to get everything sorted so quickly, but I am so delighted with how every interaction went. I was clearly a priority to them, and I can tell they definitely care about their tenants. Maintenance responds immediately and I never feel left in the dark. Visited my sister last night and was towed. My sister who is a resident was also towed. They admitted they had not labeled the visitor's parking spots on her court yet they towed my car and didn't care! I and several others waited for office to open at 9 which is their business hours but the male leasing agent strolled in a 9:30 in sweatpants and sneakers. Myself and others tried to talk to him in reference but he was blatantly rude and emotionless. I asked him to call his property manager and he refused, his reply was she will get here when she gets here. I walked the grounds and no one had been given permits!! The whole community was in that office! Myself and several others demand our money back! My sister and several others were never properly notified or had a fair opportunity to receive the parking passes or adhere to the new parking policy! The nerve of this place when my sister has rats ruining through her apartment! I also have been calling since I left this morning and the phone is off the hook! Never renting from here again. It baffles me how bad the management is at the leasing office. People are laid off from their jobs cus of Covid-19 and these heartless people have the audacity to charge me late fees. They first send you forms to request relief (assuming since the governor had ordered there would be no evictions for a few months) and then since there were no laws against charging late fees, they decided to charge them. I even sent several emails trying to address the issue but they were either ignored or denied. They even went further to threaten me by sending emails about taking me to court (I have no issue paying their money back however taking it THIS far because I don't feel its right to pay the $60 late fees they charged for 3 months is ludicrous. Mind you, I have an underlying health condition and being forced into a court room during this pandemic is certainly not going to help me). I think we as a society we should recognize how certain businesses treated people during this pandemic. There are plenty of people/smaller companies that have contributed to society during this pandemic. However these people at Townplace apartments are people who took advantage of their renters during these hard times. Living here has been the absolute worst 2 years of my life and my lease isn't over until August. We had a mouse the first week we moved here and this week we've caught one, found another dead in our sink, and saw one run into our bedroom. At least 7 mice we have seen here. For some reason we were taken off the exterminator list but in my op ion, everyone in the entire complex needs to be on that list to eradicate the problem. Not only this but we were told renovations would be done this summer which changed our decision to move out because we thought of better living conditions and that maybe the mouse issue would be fixed. Also every other review about the front desk woman at the leasing office is absolutely correct. I have never had a phone call with her that didn't end in almost a screaming match. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever received from a leasing office. I applied for an apartment. I applied and wasn't notified of approval after submitting all my documentation until 2 weeks later. I called to get more information on the actual apartment I was getting and he was consistently unavailable & no one else was able to help me. One day I guess I finally got lucky and he answered and I asked him what the apartment renovation looked like. He pretty much asked if I could come in to take a look. I had no problem with that. I scheduled a tour with Darryl & arrived at my scheduled time to find that he had two other customers before me. I sat there patiently & waited for him to be done. He finally was able to give me a tour & told me that it has been very busy and he is pretty much the only one working. I was very understanding of the fact that the whole world is short staffed so meeting him in person had me a little more at ease. He told me he would have the lease & welcome letter to me by the next day. He did in fact send it that following afternoon. Upon receipt, I then asked Darryl if he was able to switch my move in date to a later date, he said he would let me know if he had available units for the time I requested by close of business the next business day. That was on 8/18/2021. Today is 8/28/21 and I have yet to hear anything, via email or phone. I have called multiple times and emailed and have gotten no response. I even visited the office and he was not there and the woman at the front desk was no help at all. She let me know Darryl would have to help me, which I understood but I was talking to her and she kept cutting me off to answer the phones. In customer service, the customer that is in front of you gets your attention. She kept saying "I gotta take this call". The first time, okay fine. But to keep disregarding me, was the worst customer service I have ever seen. I kindly walked out after the 4th time she answered the phone while I was in her face. I wouldn't blame Darryl wholeheartedly because the office is clearly short staffed but the management company has got to do better with hiring people and come up with a training method to help with this process. One person alone cannot do it and it impacts your business and customers. my wife and I are looking for apartments in the area and came across Towson town place. When we walked inside, the two women at the desk were talking to someone in the office but never greeted us. When the woman walked out the office the two woman at the desk still didn't greet us. We introduced ourselves and ask about the availability of their three bedroom apartments. One of them acted like she didn't want to speak to us. the other acted as if we couldn't afford to live there. We decide to leave and as we walked out she made a rude comment by saying "oh these are outside your price range" to suggest we were leaving because we couldn't afford it. Her comments were out of line and inappropriate. We didn't leave because we couldn't afford to live there we left because of their staffs poor attitudes toward potential residents. read more

Last year my boyfriend was moving so we scheduled a tour with Michelle. It was called Fairways at Towson at the time. He only needed 1 bedroom so he moved into the Tower. He lived there for one year and to be honest the experience was okay. Even though I lived somewhere else I spent everyday there, I was familiar with all the amenities that were offered... This March I was moving from my apartment and we decided to switch from the Tower to the Apartments, those came with 2 bedrooms and because of the kids that was awesome. Sheena took care of my move in. The day I got my keys and went into what was supposed to be my new home, it was disastrous, nothing looked done. The door to where my washer and dryer sat was propped up against the wall, the washer and dryer was half way into the hallway, my dishwasher was used, the racks were rusted and it had a smell. It looked like an already lived in apartment. Sheena sent a maintenance guy to fix those issues but it actually got worst. After only living in the apartment for 3 days I walked into the kitchen one morning before work and saw mice droppings all over my stove and counter top. I literally cried real tears because I had just signed a year lease and I'm having these problems after only living here less than a week, I was devastated. Of course the leasing office sent pest control which was an actual joke cause all he did was place traps in all the rooms (something we could do ourselves) In that same week I had to call about my washer and dryer 3 times, everything was wrong with it but instead of replacing it like I suggested they just kept coming back and patching things up...finally after 2 weeks of complaining about the washing machine being terrible my downstairs neighbor complained about it because her ceiling started leaking from a pipe that was leaking in the back of the unit. Again all they did was replace the pipe not the unit, which til this day I don't believe my clothes get washed all the way. But lets get back to the mice that have absolutely taken over my apartment, If only they could pay rent because they're here more than we are. The trash handling is disgusting, the residents place their trash in the building hallways which I believe is the reason for the huge rodent infestation. The building hallways are never cleaned and combine that with the residents placing trash in the halls it smells horrible, I hate having company come over because of the appearance and smell of the hallway. To sum it up the neighborhood is wonderful, lots of shops and close to everything but those apartments I won't recommend to anyone over the age of 21 and if I didn't want to pay the cost to break the lease I would've been gone from day one. Finally the Leasing Agents can use a customer service training class because every single person in that office has the worst, snotty condescending attitude. Everyone in the office is rude as hell and I had mold for months that ruined all my roommates shoes in her closet and they still tried to tell me it wasn't mold. They sent in a company after two months of us complaining , the company tried to say it wasn't mold so I went to buy a mold testing kit and it started growing. The people that came to finally fix the issue with the HVAC that was causing the mold told me off the record that it was mold which I already knew. They then offered me another apt after I wouldn't leave them alone which was NOT comparable to the one we already had. This was after months of calling them , they never return calls or emails. At which point I threatened to get a lawyer and they let me out of my lease. And they also have really bad mice. My mom works in property management and was appalled at how we were treated. You have to get someone that actually knows the laws to be able to fight these people when they treat you like shit and don't do their jobs. Also corporate office did nothing for me. read more

We arrived a little late, and the leasing office was closed. Just as we were walking away a woman came out the door and asked if we needed some help. Her name was Trina Rawles. I explained to her that my boyfriend and I were looking for an apartment together and a friend pointed us in this direction. Ms. Rawles invited us into the office even though she was closed and asked us what we were looking for. She drove us to the new renovated apartments, and she also showed us the towers. She was funny and has a great personality. A lot of people do not encounter that act of kindness now a days. Anyway, she showed us around and we found what we were looking for!!!!!!! Ms. Rawles provided great customer service and she took her time with us even though they were closed, she let us in her office. I will definitely recommend these apartments to anybody. I have been living in here for more than 7 years, but never experienced worst since they changed the name under the new management. The building where I'm living at, it has no hot water since 3 months. they control over the hot water, they only release hot water in the middle of the night So you can take a shower. lord have mercy! Everyday I see cops around here. last week there was fire on the apartment, & management did not cooperate with the tenant. Beside helping them, Management kicked them out from the apartment during their hard time. they were requesting to provide another apartment, but management did not provide them anything. they were completely innocent, god is great, they got survived in the middle of the cold weather at 4am. Management has no mercy, no respect, & no feelings. I'm waiting for my lease to be ended. I swear I'll never come back to this place again unless they change the management. Sad but true! read more
