If you actually want to spend less on food, there are SO MUCH options at the food kiosks outside of Robinson's Supermarket. Even for vegetarians and vegans! I was really intrigued by this beautiful fresh lumpia being sold at one of the kiosks. And, it's not at all your usual Chinese-style fresh lumpia with the shredded carrots and garlicky sauce, but rather imagine a fresh and fruity veggie salad nicely wrapped in a fresh lumpia wrapper. It was actually a very pretty sight that you wouldn't expect that it was from a humble food kiosk. It looked AND tasted expensive--it had grapes, mangoes, nuts... YUM. And it was what like... Php 60? They also have a lot of other vegetable and fruit options here. There's a salad bar (Robinson's Supermarkets have the best ones among supermarkets, in my opinion), a Mongolian rice box station with a great selection of veggies (they have mushrooms!), fresh fruit juices, the usual turon, kamote, kakanin snacks, and cheap Pinoy ulam (they had munggo when I was there). You can just buy food here and eat it at the food court as well. Easy peasy!

They still have a great amount of room, which is what Magnolia is know for pretty much, and have a nice selection of grocery items, especially upscale classy stuff like confectionery and bath products. I love that they have an aisle just full of local products and right next to that is a rack of imported goods--it's funny and it also makes you want to buy stuff! I also like that even at the less populated corner of the grocery near check-out, it doesn't feel sad or dismal, even though the counters can fill up. They have a lot of other stalls of interest right at the grocery too, like their pharmacy, liquor stands, a Pick & Mix, a flower booth, and the more important salad and fruit bar!

Even from the outside, I already saw the interesting artworks displayed. I got curious and went inside. There were several artists on display with works in forms of paintings and sculptures. Looking further, I also saw that they were selling art toys also from various brands like Kid Robot, Bearbrick, Ouamou Toys, and other quirky art items. Going in further, I also saw that they also sell apparel and accessories from Obey, Love Army, and even Grosby Shoes! How old-school-cool is that, huh? Because I was still curious and a staff of the store invited me, I headed to the second floor where there were even more artworks and toys available. It's like being in an adult toy store! As soon as I seal a good deal and have extra dough, I'm pretty sure I'm heading back to Secret Fresh and cop a few toys to reward the crazy little art-loving girl in me.

There's always something different going on here every time I pay a visit. The artists exhibit their art work as solo or collaborations. I'm not just talking about paintings and mixed media but even designer toys! This isn't your typical art gallery because every time an artist would feature their art work, there would always be some kind of out-of-this-world "gimmick" they would come up with! It's more than art appreciation but entertainment as well! It's also surprising that the art works are selling like pancakes and all sold out in just one night sometimes. What I like most about this place is there's already a tight-knit community and is most seen during their events which I really do appreciate!

I was also looking for a place where I can buy prizes for the games at that time so I decided to give Anding's a try. My verdict: Okay. The place is big and packed with a lot of toys for kids of all ages, cute costumes and paper decor and ornaments. The staff are also helpful but a little distracted (to be fair, there were a lot of customers when we went and it was October, considered a peak season because of Halloween), and in true Divisoria fashion, the prices are lower compared to mall price. However, I'm a quite stingy and I don't mind searching the streets of Divisoria to find the best bargains so I still found their prices too high at Divisoria level. Or maybe I was just to not easily impressed that day. I would rather go to Tabora for the costumes and decor, and find cheaper toys elsewhere. But to be fair (again), the quality of their toys are much better than the ones I saw in other stalls. So I still ended up buying a few toys and party decors there and continued my bargain-hunting somewhere else.

Unfortunately, this branch of Hobbes and Landes doesn't sell pets per se (there is another store along High Street that does), but they do have a lot of pet accessories that will suit your pet's happiness. They are pretty much one of the few stores that are sure to have a good collection of LEGOs, which brings me back to my childhood. Although they lack a few of the newer Technic models, the rest of the LEGOs have enough variety to satisfy any kid. I also browse through their collection of board games, since they also carry board games that are a bit different from the more famous Monopoly and Game of Life. I enjoy looking through expansions of Dominion and the Settlers of Catan, as a possible birthday gift for a board game newbie. Aside from all the hobby items, they also have a mini frozen yogurt stand inside the actual store, so you can watch your kids play with the LEGOs while the adults enjoy a few scoops. This is a definite stop-over for me during any walk along High Street.

Almost half of the store is dedicated to Lego sets, which is seeing a bit of resurgence nowadays. They've got the coveted Simpsons model house as well as plenty of Star Wars themed ones. They're more expensive than other board game places, but there always comes a point where they're the only store which has a particular game in stock so you're forced to buy it. If the weather is particularly hot or you're just waiting for your kid to finish looking around, you can go to the back of the store and have some frozen yogurt. Hobbes & Landes is definitely the best place for kids and the kids at heart.

Beside the polish of Alabang Town Center and the sheer size of Festival Mall, Starmall appears as a…read morelesser cousin in the Muntinlupa mall scene. While this place is admittedly lacking in the glitz and glamour departments, it happens to have a barebones and down-to-earth charm all its own. While there are many shops in this complex, there are three things that stand out. First of all, there are numerous thrift (or ukay-ukay) shops here, some of which are quite sizeable. If you prefer bargain shopping for second-hand clothes and shoes in air-conditioned comfort, Starmall is a good place to go. The second is the pool. Located at the mall's top floor, the large swimming complex is an oddity that provides opportunities to cool down from the day's heat. The prices, unsurprisingly, are reasonable although the facility isn't the cleanest out there. The last is the large amusement complex, also found on the top floor. While impressive from a distance, up close it becomes apparent that the equipment could use some work, with obvious signs of use. Some attractions are even closed. One interesting tidbit about this mall: the movie theatre has a reputation for being haunted. I can't say anything about this, but I'd much rather watch elsewhere just in case.

But sadly it is still impacted by covid19…read more I was here twice before pre-covid19, and it was a great place to bring family or a date, and it was whitin walking distance of the Conrad within Maila where I was staying. I came back to the Philippines open again to foreign tourists after two years. Sadly there are fewer rides, fewer concession stands and vendors, fewer games of chance, and in other words less fun. But there is still hope maybe by summer it be back to normal and I will update my review.

There is a fun playground for the little ones. And a fun zip line for the young adults. When I was there, there were playing loud American music. I am not sure if they do that often or on some occasion. I did not find the music annoying. I was actually singing along. Great place to hang out with friends and take a walk with your significant one. The only downside is that the water is extremely polluted with a bad odor.
