I visited this toy store on January 7, 2026 (between 11am -12 PM) and had a very disappointing experience. The lady working that morning was rude, dismissive, and completely lacked basic customer service skills. She spoke with unnecessary attitude and showed no respect toward customers. The lady thinks customers are fool This was especially frustrating because I had visited the same store just two days earlier on January 5, when a different lady was working. That employee was polite, professional, and willing to discuss prices reasonably, which is why I decided to return. Unfortunately, the employee on January 7 acted as if customers don't know anything and treated me in a condescending manner. Even after I explained that I had purchased multiple items just days earlier, her behavior did not change. There was zero politeness and no willingness to communicate respectfully. This experience has completely discouraged me from ever visiting this store again. I would strongly advise others to think twice before going, as the quality of service clearly depends on who is working -- and in this case, it was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. read more

Although they didn't have a brand he was looking for, they did have a few ninja turtle items that he's been hunting for a while. From the moment we walked into Toy Shack, the experience was uncomfortable and unwelcoming. One of the younger employees immediately began watching me closely, to the point where I made eye contact several times and still felt like I was being followed around the store. Instead of creating a friendly environment, it felt more like being treated with suspicion. My friends and I were simply browsing, yet the staff's behavior toward us was unnecessarily rude and condescending. One employee pushed between my friends and the glass cases with an "excuse me" in a tone that felt more dismissive than polite, despite having plenty of room to walk around. Later, when I inquired about Spider-Man comics, the response I received was curt and condescending. My friend, who asked about Hulk comics in clear English, was met with a loud, patronizing "What!?" before the employee finally pointed out the section in a way that came across as harsh and belittling. My friends happen to be musicians and may not fit the "clean-cut" look some staff expect, but this is Las Vegas, on Fremont Street no less. People from all walks of life visit here. The way we were treated felt judgmental, and it's hard not to feel like profiling played a part in how we were perceived. The result was an uncomfortable shopping experience that discouraged us from making any purchases. We had genuinely been looking forward to visiting Toy Shack, but left disappointed. First of all I was told to come back in an hour because they had nobody to help the only girl working. so I was kind and considerate and went and lost some money while I waited . I came back a couple hours later and then as I was pulling out the cards the girl asked me to do someone spilled ice and I was told to come back tomorrow because she was irritated because she had to mop up ice? and she didn't have Time to keep helping me. terrible customer service, VERY VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL . They are a '90s and '80s babies dream. That action figures and comics and collector items and cards and all the toys you can think of. From all areas and genres and walks of life. They have some new stuff too but that's not the selling point. The selling point is all the old and retro things that they have for sale. Like who's going to sit there and be able to sell you a Sega Dreamcast in 2024 lol!? The person who was working there let us roam around us free as we wanted to, she answered any questions and gave us some cool hits and tips and stuff while we were searching so she was really nice. I used to come here all the time as the staff is normally pretty friendly and they normally take care of me. Their prices are not bad and they give a small discount to workers of downtown las vegas. I will not be going back unfortunately after an encounter I had today with one of the rudest employees ive seen in my life. While taking a break from work I decided to go check out some cards. I noticed there was a way over priced card in the case. I called one of the employees over to the case and asked why the card was priced so high and she replied to me thats what its priced at as she walks away she says if you have any real questions please ask. Not only was that rude to walk away but to say that as if my question wasn't valid is wild. As a collector I do see cards more than her so I kinda know what im talking about. I scanned the card to see what the current market on this card is. I then approached the lady again and said to her I dont want to sound like an asshole about it, she then says you already do. At this point im done with her. I was never once rude to this woman and I feel like she went too far. The coworker I was with said hey let's go because nothing good could come from this interaction anymore do we left. As someone thats been to this store and purchased items many times thats beyond disrespectful. As I stated im not going back there again. read more

Went in yesterday for the first time to browse. Found a Funko Pop I needed at a reasonable price. I took it to the front and asked to buy a pop protector for it. Dillion was about to charge me $5 for one or $2 for the flimsiest one ever. It was after he asked a coworker where nicer ones were and then sold that to me for $2.....+ tax. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! .... I was sent to this location directly by the owner Johnny, who is GREAT!!! But from the moment I walked into the store I was met with EXTREMELY rude staff!! The young lady walked up and said "I said how can I help?" I said "oh I'm so sorry I didn't know you worked here" she then responded and said "I wouldn't have said something to you if I didn't work here", I then said "oh wow, I'll try to make this quick". I then explained to her that I was sent to the location from the Owner Johnny and he gave me a quote of $180, which I also mentioned I can show you the text if needed, or you can give him a call. She began taking my toys out and immediately began to say "oh no, I won't be giving you anything near $180 for these toys today. I then said "ma'am you can give Johnny a call to confirm what he said, in a very very calm demeanor and tone btw. She then became even more rude and told me she doesn't have to give me anything at all. I said "ma'am why are you being so rude to me?" She continued being rude to me for absolutely no reason what so ever. Another employee walked up and began adding on to the negativity her girl employee was clearly trying to start with me. The second girl then said "just because you're a Big Man doesn't mean we have to listen to you!" When she said that , it hit me! These Women are feminists that HATE BIG MASCULINE MEN. Because there was not one moment for one second to where I did or said anything at all to make them angry. I was extremely calm and respectful the entire interaction beginning to end. I then called Johnny (The Owner) and began to explain to him what's happening (very calmly btw) and one of the girls turns up the store music to full blast!!! They wanted a reaction soooooo bad!! She then said "if you don't leave I'm going to call security to throw you out" I said "maaam I have done absolutely nothing wrong what so ever, call them". They called security and had me kicked out of the store. The women were VICIOUS, RUDE, MEAN, AND FLAT OUT UNWELCOMING AND TOTALLY DISRESPECTFUL!! I will never ever go back to this establishment! Stumbled into this store while exploring fremont and was pleasantly surprised by the selection. They had tons of cool vintage toys from barbie's to hot wheels. What a fantastic store! I have a HUGE massive collection of toys but I was able to find a few things thanks to Mike & Liz who are just wonderful people. They were so nice and helpful, friendly, I want to keep going back to check on new items . I was able to find a rare hot wheels car from the 1970s in its original packaging. Fun stop when your downtown Las Vegas. Some vintage toy items worth perusing. We picked up a few items (mainly because our teenager had to have them). Lots of cool vintage items, seems I may have some packed in boxes in my garage. Since I don't collect any of these on purpose, I would not be able to judge if the prices were reasonable or not. I suggest you do some research before if you think you want to pick up some pieces. If anything, it's probably going to be some good motivation for me to clean up my garage and closets. I almost left witn a Jedi lamp but then I saw the price. It was 500 and that was out of my comfort zone. The staff waved at us but were busy assisting other guests. I did notice that there prices were little high, but for toys in their packages from 30 years ago, who's gonna argue.
