It was great. It was one of the last toys r us and I relished in nostalgia. The people were nice and chill.

Came here to grab a gift for someone and found what I needed. Staffs were nice and everyone shopping abide to the social distancing. The item I purchased exterior box was a bit beat up, but the furry animal looked to be in the best shape compared to the other ones that was on the shelf. Unfortunately it didn't have a "press to try" to test it out. Great selection of toys, games and accessories for toddlers to choose from. This is probably one of my fave toys R us location as it is located at Dufferin Mall with plenty of outdoor and underground parking. read more

Writing an update to this poor excuse for a retail establishment. If you're looking for unfriendly, angry and downright sad excuses for staff be sure to come here. This place not only has poor staff, but the management are also unbearable and make you feel uncomfortable shopping in the store. The management, in particular the "assistant director" (whatever job title at toys r us that means), harass customers regularly and also participate in hoarding all the new toys and exclusives (meant for children) to themselves. There are plenty of reviews on this associate online, from other customers including his poor treatment of expecting mothers (check google reviews)! You'll never find anything good in this store and good luck to you if you actually manage to ask staff a question about a product or whether or not they will be getting in new stock. Only shop here if somehow Walmart goes out of business and there is a post apocalyptic zombie outbreak and you're in desperate need of diapers. I can't find a zero stars option, so this place gets a 1. read more

Beware of registering with ToysRUs for baby showers and the like. They cancelled our order without notice - we only found out when they refunded our money instead of delivering our stroller. No apology and half a day to figure out it was because they messed up shipping and decided makin us start over on stroller shopping was easier than reshipping with the correct company. They reserve the right to cancel your order for any reason and make you restart at square one, and they take that right very seriously. read more

Folks there comes a time in your life when you have to buy some toys for your friend's kids and in this case I didn't have the patience to order online and wait for it to arrive so had to visit this spot. First off kudos for carrying such a wide variety of toys. I had done my homework and had narrowed it down to a couple of choices (highly recommended) as didn't want to be overwhelmed by choices. I went to straight to the spot where both options were side by side. After a bit of pondering settled on one option and headed to the checkout. Sure the place is noisy but it is a toy store for crying out loud. The checkout took its time being close to the holiday season and all. However it was a decent overall experience. One can even order online and do a store pickup if preferred which is also appreciated. read more

The Toys R Us at D.Mall is surprisingly good. You'd not think it as it's part of a mall, but the location is huge. I'm told it's still quite an effort to shoot a Nerf gun from one end of the store to the other, and that only the best ranged foam dart can make it. You've got your dolls and Acton figures all separated into gender normative sections just the way people like it, with some more collectable figures hidden in the video games section, one quick step beyond the discount toy table. read more

This is a very bad toy. Usually most toys r us are very clean and helpful not this one it has a very rude and annoying employee. me and my friends just go in there just to look around and maybe buy something that makes it hard to shop here when he's constantly following us around and just waits for us to make a mistake. One time we grabbed a teddy bear near the window and we put it back in the wrong place and he yelled put it back right from across the store. It was just a teddy bear. He didn't have to yell from across the store. It was very poor service coming from this toys or us.The employee is a tall caucasian male with glasses and a band around his back of the head. read more

The above are the awful truths about entering a Toys R Us location, but let's be real, when enter here you know what's coming. You know the drill, you're in a massive toy store. I recommend choosing joy, and rolling with all of it. Just jump over the baby vomit in aisle two and check out what Barbie is up to these days. I was in here recently looking at baby essentials in their huge Babies R Us side of the store, but naturally I got kind of bored and wandered over to the good stuff. Chalk, nerf guns, giant stuffed toys. These are things that can make just about anyone smile, and this huge location is filled to the brim with all of the good stuff. read more

I love toys, but this location in the Dufferin Mall can be pretty unbearable at times. There's usually at least one or two kids screaming from the top of their lungs, and the shelves are usually chaotic. I get it -- they're a toy store, so I will give them a pass on these things. The worst thing is that every time I've ever been there it seems like only one checkout line is open (even though they have about eight stations). Yet there are always 2-3 workers hanging out and chatting in the return department. I will always hit this place up for presents when it comes to my niece and nephew because they have a large selection and they're located close to home. I just wish the bewildered staff was more on point -- especially when there's a rush at the checkout. And for some reason they never seem to have bags. I once bought a small amount of items and they gave me a gigantic garbage bag-sized number. read more

It's Toys r us....so we know what it is, the selection is pretty good. THE STAFF ......WELL, the classic low paid, probably dick managers and a constant meeting of " Love your job " speech, so what we get is an all around I dunno and F OFF attitude There are maybe 1 or 2 really nice staff but, i would say 90% not. but again, it's toys r us, so you there to get your stuff and that's it. Try your best not to call ( phone service ) because what you'll get is " WTF are you calling us for " answer. but again you might get that one nice girl answering you then you'll be like " WOW " read more

Although Toys R Us has taken a walloping from Wal-Mart over the last few years, I think Wal-Mart doesn't spark the youngster's imagination (or consumer greed) the way a place like Toys R Us does. There's something magical for a kid to go to a huge store thats full of toys, and nothing but toys. And unless FAO Schwartz opens up in Toronto, Toys R Us is still the best place for that feeling. The Toys R Us in Dufferin Mall is just like the other branches in that respect. It's clean, bright, and well-stocked. Although to be fair, it's not like I've been keeping up with the latest toys, so my expertise isn't at the same level it was when I was ten. read more

Here's the problem with this Toys R Us (and it's endemic to many retail stores): The people working here seem like they hate their jobs. I had to stop in quickly to buy a gift for a friend's baby shower and didn't have tons of time. It wasn't too hard to find what I was looking for (although the gift registry machine was out of order and no one approached me with an offer to help), but the cashout was a total frustration. We waited and waited some more, behind a couple with their baby who had clearly been waiting a long time before we got there (they kept looking at each other and rolling their eyes). A man buying (no joke) six or seven huge water guns for a little boy was holding up the line. While the queue got longer and longer, several employees who were hanging out near the cash, but not opening up new ones, looked over. One girl approached a harried-looking cashier and asked if she wanted any help. "Help?" the cashier laughed, "No one wants to take the cash, so no, there's nothing you can do." The girl shrugged and walked away. Why haven't these store managers figured out that if their employees are happy and well-treated, then customers will be, too. I don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon. read more

worst customer service ever!!!! nobody knows whats going on in there! I went in to buy a bike for my daughter, they made me wait for over an hour. telling me one thing, and than another, changing the bike rep i was speaking to, at the end i ended up buying the most expensive bike there, the only one 20'inc and training wheel compatible spend approx $250.00 at the end my poor 6 year old was so excited to finally get her bike, just for me to notice in the cash out line, that the back wheel was literally popping out. Like what were you guys really doing that whole time! they take the bike to the back again just to come out after a half hour to tell me this bike is broken... that they have to assemble one out the box and i have to pick it up the next day. I was so upset to say the least, i spoke to the manager and she said, "Oh,." what type of customer service is this, honestly the worst experience she than proceeded to tell me "well I don't know whats going on" (clearly, nobody does) she said," they are not supposed to provide you same day bikes anyways".... well how is that my problem. Thanks for the wasted time, never going back there again look elsewhere over priced items and horrible service. read more

I shop her a lot because there no better options in the area but 9/10 it's terrible. There is hardly any staff on floor available to help and most don't want to. They generally only have two registers opened one main one and one at the video game department. This is usually not sufficient, they have long line often. Worse is the cashier at the main cash usually services the customer service area too. If you go to return something you have to wait until they are done cashing out customers. The worst experience I had was when I wanted a water table for my daughter. These items are stored in back and you need a stock person to get them. I have two wait 15 minutes for a person to respond to the page. I asked first about one table he got in and then while i waited I noticed another one and asked if I could see it. He looked at me like how dare I change my mind. He did go and get the other water table and then ran it to the cash register and dropped it there. The fact that he took so long and the attitude he gave me once I saw there was a backlog of 6 people at the register I just couldn't deal and left the item there. I have completed there receipt survey so many time and have never seen an improvement. Its out of the way but I often drive all the way out to Sherway Garden Toy R Us service and staff is so much better there. read more

Customer service here suuuuucks. The store is really badly stocked, and when I called to ask if they have an item, the person just said "You want a what? Wait one second" then walked away, and two minutes later I was hung up on. Forget it - go somewhere else! read more

My biggest issue is their pricing - things marked on shelves or in bins is not what shows up on your bill. When you confront staff on this you must wait, wait and wait some more, only to be told you the client are wrong and things were erroneously placed there -- easy to understand if it happens once, but it routinely happens ... like every time I visit, and every time I buy. Staff become belligerent and imply that you are trying to rip them off. So if you shop there ('cos sometimes you have to) CHECK your bill. The ToysRus help line which is routed to the US is most pleasant -- and shocked by the attitudes at this store. read more

This location is not closed. It is still here after many years. Great customer service and well stocked. However majority of the items I have been looking for from baby registries can almost never be found in this store. I believe they need to review and reorganize their baby section so it all flows better. For example you have 2/3 of baby's needs covered in the front from feeding and nursing to bathing but all sleep items are all the way in the back of the store. read more

Today i was at the store and purchased leappad ultra it was $159.99 plus tax There is ehf laptop levy 143790 it is $1.50 What is this $1.50 charge could you explain me. Also cashier Name called Roxy she was extremely annoying and threw shopping bag when I asked for. Generally staff in dufferin mall toysrus are rude as a customer i am not going shop from there anymore i wished I would buy this leappad from the bestbuy store. Asking stuff where to find this is a.
