Hubs had the skirt steak sandwich. It came on a lot of bread. He ate just the steak that wasn't much, and the French fries that came with the sandwiches were good. There is a full bar. Other drinks included a couple of Mexican beers and soda pops. Everything was clean and well kept. The morning hours were busy. At 11 a.m. the course was less crowded, and we finished 18 holes easily. The course is flat with a few water features.

There are a couple of crocodiles along the course, close to the fairways and walkways - they seem well fed - leave them alone and they will leave you alone. The club is small but they are attentive and you can get a decent breakfast or lunch. We arrived 10 minutes late due to a misunderstanding of the tee time and they did fit the 2 of us about 30 minutes later. Unfortunately we got stuck after 2 groups of 4 and that first group was super slow. The second group just in front of us apologized even though they too were waiting. The staff apologized. They should have had us skip ahead but did not. But after 9 holes, we totally gave up. We rented golf clubs and it as an assortment and not the best.

We didn't even get a chance to eat, even though it was included in the price. The café closed at 4:00 PM while the park itself stays open until 5:00 PM, which makes no sense. The pool was also very cloudy, like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. We paid 1,000 pesos for two people since we live in Quintana Roo (about 500 pesos per person), and at that price it's somewhat acceptable. But if you're a tourist paying full price, it's honestly not worth it at all. And what really made the experience uncomfortable: while I was in the women's shower/changing area, a woman walked in with her son who looked around 12 years old, right at the moment when I was changing my underwear. When I pointed out that this was the women's area, she said, "He's just a child." That felt completely inappropriate and uncomfortable. It also doesn't seem like staff are enforcing basic rules about access to changing and shower areas.

When we arrived, it felt like my visits to the Islands in Thailand. Golf carts, sand, souvenir shops (barter), bars and restaurants. We rented a golf cart and put putted around the area. I highly recommend. I know we did it like a tourist but will be back to explore the island and stay several nights. You should too.

Lots of businesses on the beach which served drinks and food. There are no public (and free) seating from what we saw...all chairs belong to a business which will charge $40+ USD to use alone. The weather for this excursion prevented us from going snorkeling, so they just let us cruise in the fast boats for 2 hours thru the marinas, bays, shorelines and mangroves of Cancun. So much fun.
