I am writing this review to express my concerns regarding a recent visit to this Tractor Supply location. The cashier ringing me up was wearing an excessive amount of heavy silver jewelry and a lace mask. While personal style is one thing, wearing that much jewelry, especially on the hands and wrists, its highly unsanitary for a retail environment where employees are constantly handling products, cash, and interacting with customers. Jewelry traps dirt and bacteria easily, making it difficult to maintain proper hygiene while working a register. I hope management enforces a more appropriate dress code policy regarding excessive accessories to ensure a cleaner, more professional environment for shoppers. To make matters worse, her attitude was entirely unprofessional. When the transaction was finished and I told her "thank you," she didn't even acknowledge me properly and just gave a dismissive "mmmm hmmm." Between the hygiene concerns and the poor attitude, it was a very unpleasant experience. I hope management enforces a more appropriate and clean dress code policy, as well as some basic customer service training. read more

I have been shopping at this store since it opened and spent a lot of money there liking , the new remodel, but some of the new employees!!!Was just in there a little bit ago 7/17 and there was a girl working the counter with piercings all through her face, that appeared to hates her job, could tell just walking up to the counter, and who apparently got offended when I was saying how cool the American overalls were another country hating person so I will now be taking my business to the main street one read more

We visited this location today and unfortunately had a very frustrating experience with how the checkout lines were handled. We were next in line at a busy register when a second cashier opened up and specifically called us over to her lane. We moved our items and took everything out of our basket onto her counter. Right at that moment, her register malfunctioned and crashed. Instead of handling the situation professionally such as apologizing for the technical glitch and smoothly transitioning us to the front of the next available line, the staff simply sent us to the back of the original line we had just left. It was incredibly frustrating to be penalized and forced to wait all over again just because the store's equipment failed. The lack of basic line management and courtesy from the team turned what should have been a quick trip into a headache. I hope management trains their staff on better handling technical issues and prioritizing customer service in the future. read more

Service here is meh at best. The employees are probably paid minimum wage and this post isn't being made to blame them. This post is @management This location notoriously has a horrible rodent problem. I first heard about it on the Nextdoor app. Tractor Supply refused to let stray cats in the building to control the pest problem like the Home Depot down the street. I ordered a dog bed today around 5p.m. through pickup on the website. Perfect, my order was ready in less than 2 hours. I came in the store and noticed the line was really long, ugh. So to kill time I went to the back to where the he dog beds were to show off to my sister this awesome bed I found at Tractor Supply for our dog. All the beds were covered in rodent urine and droppings. What makes me mad is that who ever picked this bed for pickup didn't even have a thought process as far as maybe thinking this bed is unacceptable or even worse, probably had no choice but to do their job and pick this bed. This bed selected for me had a hole, dropping, and urine! What makes me even furious is even management doing nothing about the rodent situation in the first place to avoid this happening. Side note: as far as my chicken's supplies, our family will now be choosing other mom and pop owned stores. read more

Took pup here for a bath and it was surprisingly pleasant. The self wash is located at the back of the store towards the right across from where the dog treats are located. It is located in a private area and only had one tub which makes isolation easy. The tub was low enough that your dog can easy jump into it. It came with different washing gloves as well as shampoo and conditioners. I did not see the towels so they must have ran out for the day. We brought our own towels and shampoo/conditioner so it was no issue. The water head had a variety of setting options which was great. The water could easily be adjusted to your dog's liking. The only thing they could improve on was the dryer. The dryer was not strong what so ever. It took some time to dry our dog. Otherwise, not a bad option for $9.99 read more

Disgusting dog wash station. Hair on the walls and ceiling. Hair all in the tubs clogging the drain. Floors are a safety hazard due to floor drain being clogged with hair. Over 50 dirty (smelly) dog towels piled up on the floor corner. Not one shampoo or conditioner to use (which is part of the service you pay to wash your pup). I had never been in one of these stores before last weekend. OMG! It's like if Pet Smart and a Hardware store had a baby! I love it! I actually just ran in to use their super clean, well stocked restroom. I looked over the pet supply area and loved the amazing selection. I will definitely seek out more of these stores. I was also greeted when I walked in by two different employees, which was nice. I feel like I could come here and get hardware kind of help and not feel dumb ( like I often do at Home Depot). (Apple Valley) store needs a better was to communicate with customers their in-store stock levels. EVERYTIME I wander in for a needed item, that 1 thing- they are out of!!! It never fails, and yes, I check stock prior to my voyage there, which is not around the corner from my pad! They say they do not do the inputting of ordering product, and that amounts on hand or otherwise are automatically tracked and reordered through the 'system', airwaves, 'corporate' ... OR, that the shipment came, but product was not included on truck, or pallet was somehow not loaded onto truck, or item delivered to another location by mistake, or some other screwy excuse as to why website lists XXX units in store/stock, PLENTY on hand-- but not 1 unit can be located - in reality. Quite the pisser, and disappointment, waste of time, energy, GAS... I go for the hay compressed bales, dog food, hay pellets/cubes...I ALWAYS end up with items still requested, or I leave with nothing or the need to return next day...or whatever. TS needs to step up their skills, monitor their website for accuracy, and get on 'corporate's behind and enforce some retraining of customer service skills. Just sayin' read more

Tractor Supply (TSC) is one of the stores that fills a great niche for the community of Apple Valley and surrounding cities. Thy sell a lot of feed and farming equipment/supplies, but I've found them to be really reasonable for dog food, rabbit food and hay, and your regular hardware store needs. I like to work on all things automotive, and this place has been great for things such as nuts, bolts, and screws. Unlike your big box stores, TSC sells their hardware in bulk by the pound. So getting a dozen grade 8 bolts, nuts, and washers are under 6-8 bucks vs paying 4 bucks for one of these "speciality bolts" at the big hardware stores. Their hardware is neatly organized compared to the mess found elsewhere. These higher grade bolts are pricey and usually hard to find unless you go to a specialty nuts and bolts place like nutty bolts in Hesperia. They also sell a lot of specialty hardware like metal spacers, stainless hardware, nylon spacers, etc. and things that are quite pricey elsewhere for these speciality items. It's nice to have this kind of retail store up the HD. Employees are friendly and seem to care about working there. They even have a dog wash room that includes all the supplies and even a drying station to give your dog a bath. Just a warning though with the dryer and small room size, dog hair may be flying all over the place depending on your dog. read more

I do shop here, but first time using the doggie wash. I checked in with the cashier and she advised they were out of towels, shampoo and conditioner. Luckily I brought my own. A self serve station, beats washing at home in the shower getting hair everywhere. Didnt notice until I was done, thy had an apron you can use bc I was totally soaked. Only thing I would like is the air dryer would have warm air instead of cold. And maybe some hooks on the wall to hang our leashes and purse bc the floor does get wet. I'm curious to learn more about why my sweet friend and her service dog were kicked out in the middle of a self grooming session. She is a regular and was kicked out by the manager Russ, because he mistook her nail grinder for clippers and was too embarrassed to apologize and admit his mistake. She goes out of her way to clean up, not only after herself, but other patrons as well. I don't think it's any coincidence that she's Mexican. How rude and unprofessional. It's no surprise that that location always looks like a dump. read more

I was very disappointed in the cashier last night on 10-14-2020 about 5:pm I asked I believe her name is Christine if they price match dog food from Petsmart, so with a bit of attitude she said the only way was if it was from a local store and I would have to take a photo of that item with the price! So I'm thinking what makes no sense is if I have to go back to petsmart and take the photo, well if I go back why wouldn't I just buy it at that point. It would make no sense to travel back to TSH.. 2nd issue, same cashier. Dog washing area was dirty and full of hair. Drain was clogged. This area needs more attention from the employees. The last time we visited they didn't have dog shampoo. If they are going to charge $10 per dog they should be clean and well stocked. read more

Shelves are always empty and you are lucky if you find what you need. The equine section has had the same old stuff since their grand opening. Once again, the equine section (tack area) is empty. The system they are using to determine how, what and when to stock is definitely not working. The employees claim they don't order merchandise, that's done by corporate?
