I feel like I got robbed,I paid over $700 to get rid off my dog foxtail he had, he went in with an swollen, infected , and with multiple puncture wounds between his toes. On one if his legs, i have heard those can be very dangerous. I dont have luxury money to give away but for my pets ill find a way to get the money so they can be okay, well went in there they didnt find any foxtail on his leg but they did found one inside his ear. It was to close to eardrum and was irrated so they said they couldn't removed it because it was to irrated to do so. So anyways, i came back home gave me medication for infection and inflammation and pain. After 2 weeks of medication were over, his leg was still swollen, one of the pucture wound was still open, I send them pixtures of status of his leg and they never replied, I called back and made an appointment, they only gave a stronger dosage of antibiotics. After 4 days his leg got so swollen, to much pressure his swollen part pop, I called to let them know all they said was to soaked in warm water, 2 days later, I chexk on his leg to soak in warm water and i see like something that look likr hair in his wound, I was like how did, well I take a good close look and to my surprise it was a foxtail, I pulled it out completely. I called immediately, and complained to them that he did had a foxtail, and only for Amy or jammie, I think its the receptionist. To give me a sassy attitude about my complained already clearing off their mistake. My dog still injured and uncomfortable. If I knew I was gonna wait this long to make him feel better I wouldn't never paid $700. He began feeling uncomfortable in the beginning of April, his first visit was april 13. Almost a month. And he still has an infection, well now i know why. ..( foxtail inside the swollen part of his leg) Its not fair for our pets and us. For you guys to give a maybe diagnostic. I was told he didnt had any beside ONE on his ear. If they wouldn't said there was a lightly chance he still had one on his leg then they should've gave me stronger medication since the beginning instead of make me pay again for another check up and another medication again. I really thought, I could trust this clinic, I always go base on the ratings. I guess rating dont matter. Horrible diagnostic and horrible customer service after you have a complain. read more

My Pongo is a 64-69lb black lab/shepherd mix. And can be territorial and difficult to control when walking in the city and around other male doggos. So we previously used a prong collar on him. Then he suffered from an injury on his neck as a result of the collar. The wounds became infected and it's not easy to see bc he's a young male and super hairy lol. We just noticed he was super lethargic and not wanting to play or eat really. Luckily my husband saw the injury. And we called Dr. Dan and he was able to see him same day! Dr. Dan is super chill and thorough. We appreciated his bedside manner and he just got straight to work. Gave Pongs stitches and antibiotics and painkillers. I was utterly anxious and super distressed during this time. And a super fast solution and seeing us the same day, was amazing! Would highly recommend the clinic, its staff, and Dr. Dan. PLEASE READ AND SAVE YOUR DOG. Went in because my dog was belly breathing, the vet took an x-ray and told us that he had fluid in his lungs and a coin in his stomach, Keith Dan, DVM said that, the coin was the last thing he was worried about, he prescribed our dog medication to apparently get the fluid out, ( Which should've been surgically drained) Unfortunately, he got worse two days later, took him to a veterinarian down the hill and was informed his lungs were collapsed, and there was a significant amount of fluid around the lungs, which Keith Dan DVM down played. They informed us that the medication this veterinarian Keith Dan, DVM had prescribed us was not going to remove the significant amount of fluid that was in his lungs and were confused as to why he prescribed that and not drain his lungs, so unfortunately he was suffering and essentially drowning and all that pressure was pushing on his heart and lungs. The appointment at "All Paws Animal Clinic" took about 30 minutes we were in and out and charged $800 for an exam that was not thorough. The vet Keith Dan, DVM. failed to inform us that the coin was obstructing his intestines therefore, he couldn't poop and also completely missed a huge mass in his abdomen. Please do yourself a favor and do not trust any veterinarians in the high desert and invest in going down the hill where their practice is ethical. We went to PetEmerg Emergency Animal hospital in Rancho Cucamonga, where unfortunately we had euthanize our sweet boy because he was in critical condition for so long, because we thought the medicine Keith Dan, DVM prescribed would "help". However this place in Rancho Cucamonga did a thorough job, did multiple X-Rays and sooooo much more to get to the bottom of what was causing his belly breathing. The staff and veterinarian at PetEmerg actually have compassion and care about animals and will do what ever it takes to ensure your animal is not suffering, and get the ethical care they deserve. Do not bring your pet here to All Paws Animal Clinic, he will dismiss your animals, put a bandaid on your dog to get you in and out and run your card. This clinic is a joke and so is Dr. Dan. I had to put my dog down two days after I went here. He gave me maybe 2 minutes of his time explaining a X-ray and a plan. Every question I had to ask was keeping him from walking out the door. I might as well have talked to a wall. I took my boy to an emergency ER in Rancho and they found exactly what this so called professional found. But they closely examined it and found my dog's condition was worse than it appeared to be. They were passionate about their profession, prideful, they want to be the best at what they do. That's what separates every good vet vs this Dr. Dan. He doesn't clock in, he's just clocked out every time he's at work. My dog's passing was inevitable, but had he done a thorough examination I could have had more time and family could have been there. This is the second time I've been fooled by this clown. In 2021 he cleared my late dog with the heart the size of a softball. I have 2 words for the "Dr." Do Better. And for parents reading this just go down the hill. read more

I have taken my own personal dog and my fosters here when they need care. I appreciate the fact that Dr Dan get in and a plan is made accordingly. Never have l waited too long to be seen more than 20 minutes and although this location is a bit far from my home, l still choose it because they are consistent and overall get the job done in a timely manner. I see some reviews that's it's on the expense side but l disagree l think that the service provided and care are worth it. I have been bringing my pets to Dr. Dan for many years. He is a good, caring veterinarian. However, his clinic is one of the most EXPENSIVE in the High Desert, and his staff has always been dismissive and unfriendly. They also book so many pets a day, close to 100. Anyone who has been in the clinic has seen the board listing all the pets that will be seen in a single day, leaving the doctor only a couple of minutes with each patient. After today's experience, I can no longer justify Dr. Dan. He may be a great veterinarian, but a clinic is only as strong as its team, and his staff has made it clear that they DO NOT CARE!!!!. This morning, my 15-year-old dog Buddy suddenly had a severe allergy flare-up. He was scratching non-stop, panting, and clearly suffering. I called the clinic first thing and explained the urgency. All he needed was a quick allergy shot, a procedure he has had many times before that literally takes less than five minutes. Despite my pleas, the staff coldly told me the earliest appointment available was Monday. I explained that Buddy is a SENIOR dog, that Benadryl had already failed to help, and that leaving him to suffer the entire weekend was cruel. Still, they refused. When I begged for help, one staff member put me on hold and never came back. I called repeatedly, only to be sent to voicemail THREE times. I called again from ANOTHER number, hoping someone would finally listen. A different staff member answered, but again dismissed my concerns and repeated that Monday was the only option. Their indifference was shocking. At no point did anyone express concern for Buddy's well-being. There was no compassion, no willingness to make a SMALL effort to help a suffering senior dog. Instead, I was met with rudeness, dismissiveness, and a complete lack of empathy. For that reason, I will never bring Buddy or my cat Whiskey to All Paws Clinic again. If they cannot allocate FIVE minutes for something so simple as an allergy shot, what makes you think they will provide the necessary time for something more serious??? MY PETS AND YOUR PETS DESERVE MUCH BETTER!!!! Dr. Dan: I am pretty sure you have had complaints about your staff before. I just read your reviews and it is very clear that your staff has serious issues. Please do something about it. My senior dog ,with a bad heart, who was on heart medication from this clinic was taken to his checkup. Since he was ill with a serious medical condition, I asked if it was okay for him to have his regular vaccinations that were due. I was uncertain if he should get shots or not. He was cleared for shots which he received. He got very sick and three days later he died. read more

I called on a Saturday morning and explained my dog had a minor injury (that didn't warrant an ER visit but also should wait till Monday) they were so helpful accommodating the last minute request. When i got there i noticed the waiting room had a good flow. No one was impatient or waiting too long or rushed in and out. They saw me and my dog within 30 mins of arriving in the window we talked about. Dr Dan was so nice, as was the rest of the staff. Their pricing was upfront and reasonable. When I arrived, they said they didn't have any appointment. I told them they had scheduled it for that day, and they said they could make another one, so they scheduled it for Wednesday. The women at the front desk are ALWAYS terrible. They are incredibly rude and snobby and I always feel unwelcome coming here. The only reason I come here is because the vaccines are usually more affordable here and what I don't like is when they either give the vaccines in the lobby in front of everyone or they just take my baby and force me to stay back. After my latest encounter of coming in to get my dog checked and treating us like the plague and the obnoxious front receptionists giving me disgusted looks and gossiping out loud, I can safely say I'm never coming back to this clinic again. I've been here many times and I've never even met the actual doctor. Hesperia animal hospital and AMC treated us way better than this snake pit. Don't come here unless you want to be judged a treated poorly by the receptionists. read more

A few weeks ago, my female boxer (8 years old) developed a left ear hematoma. Initially, I thought she had gotten bit my bug, so I waited a few days but the swelling didn't go down and I noticed her consistent head shaking, scratching and redness/ear wax build up in that same ear w/ the hematoma. I tried taking her to my usual vet in Santa Fe but I think they closed? So I searched up vet clinics and the only one open was Apple Valley Animal Hospital on Hwy 18. They had decent reviews, so I did a walk in around 9am. This is the WHY I'm writing this post. Arrived to the clinic, filled out paper work as a first time patient, and when I asked for a price, I was told to ask the one who will examine my dog. They vet nurse came by and took us in and told me I would have to leave my dog. When explaining the hematoma, the vet made it seem as if it was life or death and insisted that I leave my dog there. Obviously, I was more concerned at this point because of my lack of knowledge on hematomas, so I agreed to leave her and they were quick to take her in the back. after the fear dissipated, I asked about the price and they told me around $1300-2000 and that's if they're able to drain the ear and end the ear infection which was unlikely, so I would definitely have to come back because hematomas are dangerous. I told them I wanted an invoice of everything before I agreed any further so I went and talked to the receptionist and low and behold, the consultation alone was $170, plus an additional $250+ for meds and $1700 for the surgery which was just draining the ear. I asked for my dog back and waited a day to get a second opinion because that was ridiculous and I felt like I was being driven to a state of fear to rationalize those prices. I ended up at All Paws off of Main and omg, I'm so happy I followed my gut instinct. Within ten minutes, the vet came out and saw us, he checked her ear, her eyes, her temp and he listened to what I went through at Apple Valley Animal Hospital and he chuckled, LITERALLY CHUCKLED. Apparently I wasn't the first to have a similar story. He had told me that surgery is almost always unnecessary if you can stop the infection and that the ear will drain itself but it will coil up a bit, which is true! I paid $343.88 for everything. The consultation, an entire tube of ointment that the vet put into her ear canal and two weeks of meds (2 kinds). Within three days, her ear went from red, to her soft pink and the ear wax was gone. It's now been about 6 weeks and her ear is completely drained and slightly curled, but her ear is totally fine. I guess this post is more or less to warn people of fear mongering in tough situations and to follow your intuition and always seek a second opinion. Dog hematomas are common and if your baby gets one, I highly, HIGHLY, recommend All Paws off of Main. Dont let anyone make you feel bad about making decisions for your pet (AVAH gaslit me lol and made me feel horrible for taking my dog and seeking a second opinion/option). read more

Review for All Paws Animal Clinic I'm extremely disappointed with the way my senior dog and I were treated at All Paws Animal Clinic. My dog already had an appointment scheduled for the next day, but her pain had gotten significantly worse, so I brought her in hoping they might be able to see her sooner. I know they've made exceptions for walk-ins before, so I thought it was worth trying. Unfortunately, the front desk staff was incredibly unprofessional and rude. While my dog was clearly in distress and crying in pain, the staff sat around chatting and laughing, completely ignoring us. They didn't even acknowledge us until their personal conversation was over--and even then, they seemed more annoyed by the sound of my dog than concerned. I politely asked if there was any way she could be seen earlier due to her worsening condition. Instead of checking with the doctor, they immediately told me to go to an animal hospital and claimed there was nothing they could do. I asked again if someone could at least ask the doctor, and one woman got up with a clear attitude, disappeared for less than five seconds, then came back and said, "No, we're short staffed." Meanwhile, there were four staff members doing absolutely nothing at the front desk. This is the last time I'll be coming here. The lack of compassion from both the doctor and staff is unacceptable. It's clear they care more about convenience than the animals they're supposed to be helping. I'll gladly drive a little further for better, more caring service--and it's actually cheaper and friendlier down the hill anyway. read more

We have never had animals, so when my mother-in-law passed away, leaving us with two very old Shih Tzus, I asked many friends about a vet. A few suggested All Paws, so I took one of the dogs in because she seemed to be struggling. They did blood work which was about $400, and never called to let us know anything. After two weeks, I called them and was informed that the Vet had to give me the information. He never called. The front desk was so rude and condescending during that entire experience. Fast forward about six months, we got a dachshund puppy. We wanted him neutered, but I did not want to take him to All Paws. However, I really couldn't find another vet. I tried several, but they didn't neuter, so I bit the bullet and made an appointment for November when he was six months old. I was pleasantly surprised after walking in because I was met by Em. She was so kind, efficient, and understanding. She patiently answered all of my questions and calmed me down. She was also assisted by a smaller young girl with dark hair; I didn't get her name, but she was great. When we returned to get our dog, I was met by a witch! I don't remember her name, but she was short with streaked hair. She was horrible! She was condescending. rude, and rolled her eyes a LOT. I spent most of last night mad that I did not get her name. She may be great with animals, I don't know, but she's awful with humans. Keep her in the back. Do not let her work with people. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE. If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the first clinic my husband and I decided to take our dog to since moving here. I've been to vca in upland, inland valley vet in upland, and this clinic couldn't even begin to compare to those. Starting with the front desk, and to be more specific, Leslie, her customer service is terrible, when my husband walked in to check the availability for our dog that we brought in as an emergency, in the middle of the conversation she doesn't even excuse herself and initiates a conversation with the other girl at the front desk, after she finishes her conversation with the other girl she starts talking to my husband again like nothing ever happened. Then as we're waiting for the vet to come back to tell us what wrong was with our dog, a man walks in with his dog that looks very injured, Leslie, again asks what's wrong with the dog and so on, and the man is trying to describe to her when she says "¿Hablas español? " and they start conversing in Spanish; obviously no problem there, it's when they take him into a room and she sees the other front desk girl come back and starts talking rudely about the man and their interaction, kind of mocking him for his accent and way of speaking English. They also prescribed some medication to our dog and made him have seizures, making him later that night pass away. We then took him to inland valley and they couldn't do more for him he was too sick after his visit to all paws. read more

Got to my 9am appt today at around 8:53am and waited until 9:15 to be seen. Nothing. So I asked how long longer it would be because working professionals schedule time out of their days to get things done. Woman was kind of careless and said "i don't know, maybe 10-15 minutes longer...?" So I walked out. Double/triple booking is quite dangerous because of situations like this. I waited close to two weeks to be seen then didn't even get to be serviced. For the better, I hope. read more

Since moving to the high desert this is where i've taken all my dogs. I've had dogs have surgeries with dr dan there's never been any issues. I took my chihuahua here because she was coughing and i started to notice she had shortness of breath. Dr Dan said she had fluid in her lungs and when i asked "how did that happen?" he replied "she probably swallowed water wrong" he honestly made it sound very minor and said that he would give her a shot and send her home with medication that would drain the fluid from her lungs. she was okay for 2 days until her shortness of breath went from literally 0-100. I called all paws and told them the situation and the girl i spoke to said the soonest they can see my dog was the next morning. My dog never made it to her appointment because she passed away in my arms that night. This was a horrific traumatizing experience that i don't wish on anyone. When I took her to an emergency animal hospital after she had already passed away they said she had CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE. had dr dan said anything remotely to it being a heart issue i would have taking her breathing a lot more serious. but the way i saw it was she had an appointment early next morning we just had to make it through the night. Sadly, I feel i failed my dog because I was giving misinformation about her health. When my mom called the next morning she spoke to Jamie and told her how dr dan misdiagnosed my dog how it wasn't just "water in the lungs from drinking water too fast" it was in fact heart failure. Jamie had absolutely no compassion and we didn't even get a "sorry for your loss" Had I known it was congestive heart failure. I could've made a decision for my dog, and she could've possibly gone in more humane way. I wasn't given that opportunity to give to my dog. I will never take my dogs here again. and I advise anyone who loves their animals as much I do to think twice about coming here. read more

Much like the human Dr situation here in the high desert finding a decent/good Veterinarian is difficult. I've most often found dirty offices/incompetent staff/indifferent Drs. I write this as somebody that knows nothing beyond giving pound dogs a forever home for the last 40+ yrs. From the first time I visited a shelter I've adopted the "problem" "flavor of the month" "cool" dogs that find adoption difficult once they are adults. Unfortunately one of my boys recently fell ill, so I called the Vet's office I had been using and was told: "we don't have a vet for 2 weeks" "Can you recommend somebody, this is an emergency." "Can't help you." Through a series of fortuitous circumstances I became aware that Dr Dan was still in the high desert, I had been told yrs before by the above office that he had left. Even though this incident didn't have a happy ending I must say It was made easier by the Dr and his staff. read more

I 100% agree with the reviews that the Vet comes off cold, non compassionate and disinterested. Needless to say this Dr.Dan misdiagnosed my furbaby and kept pushing antibiotics, just to make it seem like he has a definite treatment plan. Towards the end we got a refund on the antibiotics that was recently prescribed (which I didn't care at that point) and a recommendation for euthanasia from his worker, not personally coming his mouth. Unfortunately, our beloved furbaby was laid to rest and we received a sympathy card from in the mail from The Emergency Vet Clinic we took our baby too. This is about our beloved family member, Balto, a Border Collie/Corgi mix for 16 years. Balto has left a mark on his family member growing up since he was a puppy, never an arrested development. One early evening, we noticed that Balto was lying in the grass in the backyard which is unusual. When the family came over him with concern, he is not able to get up. We have to carefully hoist him and bought him inside the house. Calls were made for per clinic appointment and got next day appointment with All Paws with enormous gratitude. Routine exam done on Balto. What stood up is when the veterinarian came to talk to the family and told us that Balto is old. This prompted the direction whether for treatment or to put him down. The former was decided upon. And Balto spend a night in the vet clinic. Next day, labs done and determined that Balto suffered from Diabetic Coma with blood glucose of 400s. Treatment done with no significant progress. The staff informed us that Balto tried to bite during care. I felt guilty in general of Balto's behaviour towards the staff who only wants to take care of him. But, also, conflicted as rationalising that Balto might not be in his normal mental state. For 16 years, Balto was never a bad family member. Nothing came up that he has attacked anyone who came in close. Intact with him. I push the arguments to the back of my head. The important thing is taking care of him right there and then as he did for me emotionally. The veterinarian talked to the family that Balto's blood glucose is still high. He is still weak. Instructions to monitor him overnight at home and come back to the clinic the next day for an evaluation. What's odd with the conversation is that the veterinarian didn't give us prescriptions for insulin and kits to address Balto's high glucose levels. He even suggested to feed him but no mention of glucose monitoring and insulin treatment. My sister-in-law looked up in the YouTube for similar cases and found videos similar to Balto's condition wherein the owner was given prescriptions and instructions to monitor and administer insulin to her dog. Her dog was initially weak and perked up, eating on the last video clip. She was eternally grateful. Ours was in a dilemma. My sister-in-law bought some glucose monitoring kit and took a reading from Balto's paws as seen in some YouTube videos. It was still 400s. We tried desperately to ask for insulin and fluids from friends who work in hospital. But, unable to. Called for pet clinic that was opened 24/7 for emergencies. Nothing. I stayed with Balto sleeping in the coach and him near me. Balto moaned and tried to get up but is too weak for comfort. So helpless, to just pat and sooth a family member. Balto needs medical attention. Balto passed away before 6AM while my sister-in-law checked on him. The discomfort Balto must have been through all night made me act to address his case for this review. No family member should have gone through that horrifying ordeal on this day of age where medical ethics question one's sufferings to be unjustifiable. Conflicting views in one's mind whether the family should have put Balto to sleep rather than letting him go through the process. And the guilty conscience of who will be responsible to take care of him, for how long, and to what costs, etc. Balto was interred in a good pet cemetery where family members able to pay their last respects. Only in the loss of a loved one, observing for a moment the gathering unifying forces of individuals, setting aside their angst and differences to band together in sending Balto to the unknown alone. read more

The staff and Dr Dan were extremely friendly and professional. We got to appointment about 25 minutes early, but they took us right into the exam room. We left after exams and meds even before our scheduled appointment time. The clinic was very clean and nicely decorated. Would highly recommend. read more

I brought my senior cat in that survived hypothyroidism. He was yowling, thirsty all the time, and really unhappy. We thought he was on his way out. Dr, Dan asked me what I wanted to do. I said that I wanted to make him comfortable. He recommended an iv liquid infusion every other day, some stuff to calm him down and deal with the pain, and some stuff to support his kidney function (stage 4 kidney failure.) Well after a couple months he has gained weight, his coat is healthy, and he's feeling better. I don't even have to use the pain killer anymore. I know outcomes are rarely this good when you take an ailing elderly pet into the vet, but I do believe they've given me more time with my dude and at the very least improved his quality of life. And this treatment plan was never presented to me as an option at previous vets and they really should have. Anyway we take three cats and a dog here and are happy with their service. read more

Dr. Dan is amazing! His front office receptionist is a "B." She acts like everyone is bothering her, from calling for an appointment to checking on your pet after surgery. Most recently, the vet techs seemed angry that my dog (under sedation) urinated on the floor. I asked if she wanted me to clean it up. Her response was, "No... he already did it 3 times today!" Good doctor! He saved my dog's life. Bad staff! read more

I'll start like this... I didn't even get a step into the service. Today I took my daughter's kitten in for a semi-urgent visit due to a possible UTI. After filling out the service form, a lady spoke to me in a somewhat harsh tone and told me that the name I entered as a customer was that of a woman. I kindly explained to her that the client was my daughter, that it was her pet, and that she requested the appointment. The lady told me that I had to enter my information and not my daughter's, to which I replied that it wasn't something I wanted to do. The lady in question spoke to me, in a rude tone now, saying that, if I didn't enter my info, they wouldn't proceed to care for our kitten. So I ended by saying, "that's all, thank you", and left. Now, of course, I fully understand that there may be policies and reasons for such a request (in fact, I actually did enter my phone and address into their form, and now I'm entering my information for this review). However, I also believe that clients should be treated with respect (especially when the clinic is going to care for a pet we love). The staff is absolutely rude! I provided a leash for my Shepard. One of the older ladies in the front brought my Shepard out chocking with there rope/leash around her neck. I flipped out and removed the rope from my dogs neck. She was so mean and argumentative. I will be filing with the state due to the way she treated my dog. This woman is horrible. This place is the epitome of terrible customer service. Guaranteed management will not bat an eye over this review but I'm leaving it anyway because these little girls attitudes are what's wrong with todays world. I gave this office a chance despite their poor reviews warning about the girls attitudes. Didn't love the first few appts but the Vet himself was pleasant and answered all our questions so we continued vaccine care for our brand new puppy. My concerns started when the girls had poor communication regarding new puppy vaccines. ie- What is needed, how many, and when they're needed. They just scheduled appts and said the puppy needs these shots for "$x". I can afford the $56 vaccine visit, that's no issue. What I don't appreciate is the lack of communication and professionalism. When I asked the girl why todays visit was more than the last 2 vaccine visits she raised her voice instead of providing me with the vaccine cost breakdown. She rudely barked "for the rabies and parvo". Umm really? Watch your bad attitude and be respectful to your elders. You don't need to repeat yourself loudly you need to use your words and inform the paying customer what they are paying for. This really set me over the edge because this was just seconds after they brought my puppy out commenting "she's dramatic" because she yelped and cried after getting a vaccine. Ignorant, unnecessary, and unsolicited. When I said "no one likes to be poked" she pretended not to hear me. Personally, I don't care what they think because it's not that big of a deal but it does speak volumes of the ignorance and poor customer these girls carry themselves with. This was the straw that broke the camels back for me as the interaction I had prior to today was also shit. When I called the desk, inquiring about the vaccines they do not educate on, I had to call back after being hung up on while saying "thank you". I absolutely called her back to call her out! I said "I'm sorry - I was in the middle of saying thank you and I believe our call got disconnected". She had the audacity to lie and say "oh no, I said thank you and have a great day!". Either she didn't expect to get called out because management is just as toxic as her or she believed her own lies. This is the pettiest review I've ever left. I honestly have only ever left a couple GOOD reviews. But the shamelessness this office has is unreal. Don't waste your time and go elsewhere. read more

If you're looking for a new vet clinic for your pet to call home, do not even attempt here! As if a big move wasn't enough, finding a new clinic to take my Dutch Shepard in, that would be considerate in accommodating his high anxiety and trauma from a puppy (we rescued him). All I did was lay out what was normally done at his exams, I was put on hold and then was returned too with a response from the Dr with a "No he cannot take on my dog as a new patient." Due to what he may need to be examined and given his vaccines. Due to all their existing appointments and my dog needing these types of accommodations it was basically too much for them to do? I feel the door was immediately shut on my dog just cause he would need some working with, mind you he's trained in obedience and as his handler I'd be totally in control of him, muzzled for everyone's safety, and it'd probably just be his shots and a limited exam and "adios" till the next check up. I get it these dogs can be a challenge but all they need is an understanding veterinarian and staff that is willing to be considerate and help not only the owner get the care they need but the dog itself ! I was trying to focus on the positive reviews but clearly I can see for myself there is reason for those negative ones. I guess for being transparent and giving them the background of my dogs trauma and medical history led them to flat out say no! I would have understood a date in the future to be seen, even waited longer to go on a not so busy day. But the lack to attempt is very disheartening! So I'll be making the hour and 30 minute drive to continue the AMAZING CARE and understanding at his current vet. read more
