The Grooming Dept. is the most inept groomer I have ever been to. Before I go any further I need to…read morelet you know I used these groomers 2 times for the same dog. (I'm a slow learner) My first visit by way of grooming was pretty good. What made me angry was that my Abby sat in a cage for who knows how long before they called me! When Abby gets anxious or afraid she will pick whatever is nearest. When I picked her the first time her whole face was wet from licking the walls of the cage she was in. I thought it was a mistake and let it go. I gave them the benefit of doubt. My next visit was today, and once again nobody called me to say Abby was done. I was going to give Petsmart a little wiggle room because they were busy. I was notified Abby was ready on a private phone not the store phone!! When I got there I was angry. I wasn't swaring or acting like an Ahole. The manager thought that I shouldn't be angry. I think i was well within my rights to be angry. The manager made it clear that I had no right to get angry, and treat him with utmost respect. When Abby was brought out her face was soaking wet! I'll never do anymore business with Petsmart. I've been a loyal customer for years. Petco is a little more limited in products, but I also use Chewy. I'm going to be a lot more business with Petco and Chewy. And 1 more thing...Petsmart is a LOSER company.

But it's so fun to come in and see all of the birds and other animals. As for the photo cost: This is probably because a lot of people are posting pictures saying they are not caring for the animals but they are. Or just coming in to take photos with the birds and then leaving. It's not a zoo it's a store. Are they always clean? No. Why? Because unless you're standing at the door of the cage 24/7 messes are going to happen with live animals. They are all taken care of and never once have I seen anything concerning. I had a beautiful little lovebird that had scissorbeak and they cared for her so well. Sadly I lost her. Now I have two conures and I trust them completely to help me care for them and make the best choices for them. I also have many chickens, turkey, pig, pigeons, geese.. etc. When I am having any kind of issues with them they are so helpful and knowledgeable. They are not rude they are busy. And the amount of times they have to ask people not to take pictures even though there are several large signs is a bit ridiculous. This is such a nice family I just really hate to see people talking badly about them.

Well, today is the day I took that first step to walk into this Kahoots. Surprise surprise!... it sells premium quality pet foods and fun pet stuff. WOW was the first thought that came to my mind when I first walked in. It's a gigantic candy store for pets IMHO! LOL I personally don't have pets at this time, but my parents had two German Shepherd Labradors who were family members many years ago. They both have passed away when they were 13 years old. I miss my Penny and Phoebe (I love you!)... they were my girls. Thanks for reading my story. I perused the entire store at first. Then I thought of my dear friend who has a dog and two cats. I said let's get something for Petunia, Fig, and Friday to celebrate their birthdays. Three toys, cake, and ice cream treats were chosen. Hope they will like their playful stuffies and sweet treats. Staff was very welcoming and pleasant. Service was good. Ambiance is just playful. Prices are a tad high, but hey, our pets deserve good things, too. They are our family. It's a large Petco and offers grooming, training and pet supplies for dogs, cats, chinchillas, and a variety of pets. I believe they sell food and supplies for birds, fish, turtles and guinea pigs also. The cashiers are generally friendly. There was one that wasn't but I haven't seen her there for years. The store, like most animal stores, smells of animals...to be expected. Petco has Vital Care Rewards which I enjoy and 20% discount on litter and 10% discount on food. The parking in this area can be tricky and even a little dangerous, so be careful. There's several spots close to the front entrance of the store but when they fill up, the overflow parking is large but walking back to the entrance you pass a stream of oncoming traffic. There's speed bumps and usually cars will stop to let you pass but just be careful. They offer buy online and pickup in store. They also offer curbside pickup.
