When I called to set up the appointment I recounted our experience with the other groomer, and the employee I was speaking with was appalled at my story. I asked if their groomers were skilled in scissor-cutting double-coated dogs. She asked me to hold while she consulted the groomer. As it turns out, the groomer who took care of my dog has owned Pomeranians in the past and is well-versed in how to groom them properly WITH scissors. So I made the appointment and was told that it would probably be only 60 to 90 minutes. That was surprising for a bath, haircut, and nail trim...or maybe I'm just used to the other groomer and their 3 hour grooming windows. Riley's even calls to give you a 15 minute heads up that the grooming is almost complete. My girl looked good when I went to pick her up. She had a bath (presumably with unscented doggy shampoo since she didn't smell like an exotic dancer.) She even had a little bow in her hair. That was a nice touch. Maybe next time I'll ask them to paint her toenails. The most important thing is that she made my baby look like a Pomeranian again. It's gong to take a while longer to get her coat fully restored, although it may never grow back properly 100%, but the groomer was able to even things out so it doesn't have that weird look that we'd had before. At any rate, I'm pleased with the job Ms. Jackie did, and we'll be back.

Such a great place for healthy treats, toys etc. the manger is amazing super healthful. Thank you!!!read more

I noticed that he was not eating anything when he was at the adoption place. and would just go to his bed and fall asleep. I thought it was because all his brothers and sisters had got adopted and he was missing his litter mates. when I got him on the Saturday. He still had not ate anything. I figured it was stress and anxiety from being in a new environment. However, that was not the case. by Sunday he could not keep his balance and would just lay in his bed. I knew something was not right. Monday morning i called VCA and told them the issue. I had an appointment with them that Monday in the afternoon but wanted to get my little guy in asap I was scared and worried about him. VCA took him back and advised me that he was sick and needed to stay with them. I then got a call that same after noon and was told he did not make it. VCA was so wonderful and said that he should have been sent over to be looked at before they sent him home with me. So please please when you adopt a puppy or kitten from this place make sure you get them checked before you take them home. I am heartbroken that I lost my little guy. thank you so much love at first sight for making me an emotional reck and making my first experience with you a disaster.

Really sad that I have to leave a review like this…read more We walked in to meet the kittens and I fell in love with the little orange one. I come from out of town and also work for the airlines so I have travel benefits. Not to mention, I also work with a nonprofit where we transport animals from one state to another for foster and adoptions. When I told the woman at this adoption center my situation, she explained that all the animals there needed to be covered with VCA across the street for a full year. And that if I wanted to take the kitten, it would be about $900 That. Is. Insane. So we walked across the street to VCA for clarity. Not only were they shocked that we were told $900, they also seemed confused so they called the woman on the phone. Upon speaking with her, they explain to me that she will not adopt out to anyone who lives more than an hour outside of Nashville. And that the fees are $750 for 1 year of medical bills at VCA. We go back across the street a second time and ask the woman if we could get her a letter from my veterinarian explaining that the kitten would be in perfect hands and if we could please adopt her for a reasonable flat fee and take her elsewhere for care. The woman changes her story AGAIN and says that she won't adopt the kitten out because she only has 2 and wants to stay open through the weekend. That I can try another facility since it's kitten season. Are you serious? The fact that there are people like her who claim to care about the well-being of their animals, when in actuality it's just a money making business, disgust me.

We arrived at 0950 hours so we walked the pups around the block until they opened promptly at 0959 hours like clock work. We were welcomed in by the staff member (didn't get her name, but was super polite and helpful) she proceeded to review the 4 glass enclosed shower areas. The showers were extremely clean and beautiful with new Koehler faucets and inset bathing areas surrounded by nice tile. These showers were better than most homes! The areas lacked for nothing in relation to your dog washing task. Towels were provided as well as rubber scrubs, coat brushes, and shampoo. The shower was equipped with actual hot water. The enclosure also had air blowers you could use to help with the drying of your pup if they will allow you to do it. The best part besides the awesome service and first class accommodations it's 20 bucks for each pup and you have the option to bring your own dog shampoo and save yourself 4 bucks on your wash! The store also has groomers for bookings. Great store and we will be back. Absolutely impeccable space and a welcomed addition to our East Nashville community.

It's located on the corner and there's plenty of street parking. The inside of the store is super cute, bright, and very clean. The associate was super helpful and even gave our pup a "pup cup". There are also treats that dogs can sample. We left with a new harness, matching waste bag clip for her leash, and a treat. She hates wearing anything aside from her collar and a bandana on occasions but appears to love her harness and doesn't want to take it off.
