My dog Daisy has been a certified therapy dog for five years. She volunteers in hospitals and recently began participating in a therapy dog program at the Fort Myers airport. Maintaining her national certification with Alliance of Therapy Dogs requires a veterinarian to complete an annual health form. Before using Tractor Supply's in-store veterinary clinic for her vaccinations, I explicitly asked whether the vet would be able to complete this required form. I was told there would be no problem. That assurance turned out to be completely false. When I later requested the form, I was told it could not be completed. The store manager said the clinic is staffed by a different veterinarian once a month on Saturdays, there is no way to contact the vet afterward, and no accountability. I could not even find the veterinarian's information online, which raises serious concerns about transparency. I spent over two months contacting both the store and Tractor Supply corporate--repeatedly--trying to get this resolved. Despite all that effort, I received an email just two days before Christmas telling me the form would not be completed, leaving me no time to see another vet. Because of Tractor Supply's incompetence, lack of follow-through, and misleading information, Daisy can no longer renew her therapy dog certification. She can no longer visit patients. She can no longer participate in the airport program. Years of training, testing, and service were effectively erased. This situation was entirely avoidable. Tractor Supply should never represent that their veterinary clinics can support therapy or working dogs if they refuse to stand behind the care they provide. Who knows if those vets are even real bats it's awfully odd that I could not find the vet through Google search or have any contact with this person I'm questioning if there really was a vet in attendance I am beyond angry and deeply disappointed. read more
