My dog was dropped off at the shelter on Friday October 16 I called to get my dog back and went to claim him the next morning on October 17 and was informed my dog wasn't there, they posted on their Facebook page that he was lost or Stolen from the shelter .it's now February and I still have no answers on my dogs whereabouts. I have been told different stories from different employees as to what happened to Toby , I live a little over a mile from the shelter so if he has escaped he would have been home the same day .Something stinks here and it's not only the shelter that stinks it's how the employees handle situations. "2" year old dog: This dog was promoted to be ye o years old in perfect condition with no health issues. After adoption, we find out that she has lymes disease and she was actually five years old. They were not clear about any of this and I felt extremely scammed out of my money. After calling, they basically said they knew about it and now it was our responsibility to take her to the vet. 2 year-old cat: SUPER cute and cuddly animal who was drawn to me the moment I walked in the door. I loved her to death, but we noticed that she had some health issues. We asked them about it over FIVE times and they changed the topic every single time. Now we have a cat who may have parasites within her. I called back and once again, it's our responsibility to take care of her now. I love animals and I love non-kill animal shelters. But, unless you want a puppy, look elsewhere for adoption. I recently adopted a cat from a humane society in Columbus and it was the best experience ever. DO NOT ADOPT here if you want anything OTHER than a puppy. Save yourself some time and money, because they let animals suffer and expect you to pay for the full price after adoption.

I go for the saltwater fish and they are all super well taken care of and the prices are reasonable. You really can't beat them for invertebrates and cleanup crew for a saltwater tank. The coral selection is massive ranging from smaller plugs to huge colonies big enough that they won't fit in my biocube 32. Definitely worth checking out if you are around lawrenceburg, better than anything left in Lexington by far.
