I'm giving this Petco location 2 stars solely because of the woman I spoke with on the phone prior…read moreto our appointment. I called ahead to ask whether Vetco Vaccination Clinic would honor services we had already purchased at a Vetco Total Care Hospital so we wouldn't be double-charged. Thankfully, they did honor it. The woman on the phone was incredibly patient, kind, and helpful - she is truly the only reason this location is getting any stars at all. Unfortunately, the actual appointment was a very different experience. My husband took our dog in, and he said the visit was unpleasant from start to finish. The nurse who administered our dog's vaccinations was rough and came across as aggressive and unkind. She slowly crept up on our dog, which felt intimidating rather than calming. After that, she made comments like "what's wrong with you," "chill," "relax," and "tantrum" when our dog was understandably uncomfortable. I may not be a professional, but creeping up on a dog doesn't seem like the best approach. She also attempted to weigh our dog and seemed confused, telling him to get on the scale even though she hadn't placed him fully on it in the first place. Overall, her demeanor felt mean and impatient, and it didn't seem like she enjoyed her job - or even liked dogs. At the end of the visit, my husband handed our dog's vaccination passport to another employee so the vaccination stickers could be added. That employee wasn't sure what to do with it or where the stickers should go. The nurse then snatched the passport out of his hands and added the stickers herself, which came off as rude and unprofessional. All in all, this was not a positive experience, and I would not recommend this Vetco location. We will not be returning for future services. Good luck to anyone who chooses to go here.

Today I had my final visit to this PetSmart location specifically for the grooming services. They…read morehave repeatedly dropped the ball and honestly it's my fault at this point for thinking my dog was going to have a good experience. In the past grooming staff has injured my dog by giving him a bath, putting him in a drying kennel without first doing his nails. This resulted in him, standing up in the kennel and ripping off one of his declaws by having it get caught in the drying kennel. This was my first negative experience with this store, the only redeeming factor was Tee who had bathed my dog and provided excellent customer service and care to my senior Great Pyrenees. Tee is the only reason I remained loyal to this location as I've never encountered any issues with them. This last 3 days I've been trying to get my dog into the groomers with an appointment that was already scheduled. Due to the last injury that was mentioned above, PetSmart does not allow my dog to be put in a kennel so when I take my dog to the groomers, they force me to pay an extra fee so my dog isn't kenneled during the service, even though this is a problem caused by their negligence. Apparently I also can't schedule this kind of "express service" online so I unknowingly scheduled the wrong type of bath/brush/haircut. We brought him in and not only did. The staff belittled me and made me feel like it was my fault that this oversight wasn't caught and they rescheduled me for a few days out which was inconvenient but it's whatever they could've been kind about it. Today, i dropped off my dog and explained his grooming needs as he had just been seen by my vet and treated for a hotspot that's fully healed. 15 minutes after dropping off my dog I got a call that they were unable to provide my pet a grooming service as "his feet were wet". Then two groomers tried to explain to me that because he had wet feet, He had an open wound that was caused by yeast and bacteria then advised me to take my dog to the vet for antibiotic treatment. They explained to me that it is PetSmart policy that the animal will be sent home if they're showing signs of an open wound. I asked their manager to show me this policy and they explained they were not allowed to do so. -I'd also like to mention that we live in Washington and this last weekend we have had half an inch of rain...- I'm incredibly dissatisfied with my experience, I will no longer be bringing my dog to this grooming salon, I simply wish the staff was willing to aid me in coming to a solution rather than telling me, I'm a neglectful pet parent through a policy, they couldn't even show me. My dog is a senior and has had redness on his feet his entire adult life, his feet smelled completely normal and we're not showing any signs of yeast overgrowth. It was unfortunate that I was being gaslit by staff into thinking that my dog is in distress and in dire need of going to the vet when in reality he stepped on wet soil before going into the groomer when he was going to the bathroom and he is completely fine. That was also confirmed after sending photos of the alleged incident to my LICENSED veterinarian who agreed, my dog isn't having a serious infection or yeast overgrowth. Aside from that it would be nice to have all that wasted time back. 0/5 stars :/

From knives to pots and pans to kitchen gadgets you didn't think you would need until you see them. They even have makeup, hair products, clothes, and anything you can think of. It was so much fun roaming around this store, and they have a variety of the same item. For example, my goal was to get a butcher knife. They have big ones, small ones, heavy ones, ones with short handles, and ones with longer handles. I spent a long time picking one out to my liking. The inside feels like a big warehouse with everything neatly placed in a way that you can just walk up and down the aisles with ease. There was so much to look at that I felt like I spent close to an hour or more here. Some things were reasonably priced, while others were a little higher. It really depends on what you plan on getting from here. I almost got a wok from there but decided against it because the one on sale was a little bit too heavy for me. If you are in the area and love kitchen things, I would suggest going to Shin Shin to check it out. It was fun for me, and I plan to take my mom there on our next trip to Seattle. However, I might regret that decision later, because my mom would just spend her entire trip there and not want to leave. Haha, I will keep you posted on this. Parking is plentiful. Credit cards are accepted. One thing that caught my attention, though, was that the employees would stare you down after a little while. Instead of having security cameras, they have employees at every corner who would randomly show up next to you to ensure you are "shopping" and not stealing. If you are okay with having a personal bodyguard while you shop, then there would be no issues at all. Have fun!

I had driven past Shin Shin several times in Lakewood, but always headed elsewhere. This time I…read moremade it a point to detour and check it out (4/17/26). It is a fairly large retail site that carried assorted housewares, some alcohol, restaurant gear, small appliances, bedding and linen, Korean hair & skincare products, and clothing. I was rather amused at the gigantic sizes of some bowls, woks, rice cookers, and cooking pots...literally could hold a toddler or two. As other Yelp posts have noted, they do have attentive store personnel that are at the ready should you have any questions. Unless you're a regular shopper, one will definitely be wandering and browsing every aisle since there are no overhead signage. After all that wandering, I did end up paying for a substantial back scratcher for The Homie and a floral print quilted vest for my mom. Both were reasonable and one was even on sale! Chalk it up to, you don't think you'll find anything in particular, but stop in Shin Shin for some momentary retail therapy.
