Had the doors locked an hour before closing. Wouldn't let us in. Very bad for business.

I felt like I was in a super-sized Pier 1 wandering through the come-to-life pages of Better Homes & Garden. I admit it was overwhelming as I did not come with a specific agenda. They had many items on sale and I was able to pick up a few small home decor items at reasonable prices. I saw a sign explaining how Paul Michael uses locally harvested wood, reclaimed architectural elements and upcycled materials in Dermott, AR- woohoo for going local! I admired a few gorgeous tables, which exhibited great care and impeccable craftsmanship. If you are tired of shopping at the same big box stores and want to add some quality, carefully crafted items to add to your home, I would recommend checking out Paul Michael Company for some different perspectives. (Don't forget about the Duck Dynasty episode when Korie, Miss Kay & Uncle Si shopped here for Jean Luke and Mary Kate's engagement gifts).

However, it turns out it's mostly old junk or cheap imports at OUTRAGEOUSLY high prices. If you have time to spare and money to burn, you'll probably like Paul Michaels. If you are into antiques or the other stuff you might find there, and aren't stupid, save a wad and try Bonnie and Clydes Trade days or the Canton market or any other local flea market. You'll find more stuff to love at much, much better prices.

I had a great time visiting Duck Commander in West Monroe! Having grown up watching Duck Dynasty…read morewith my family, it was really cool getting to learn more about the history of the company and the Robertson family. The staff were so friendly and immediately made us feel welcomed. The tour price is very reasonable--especially considering it includes a free duck call! Being able to explore at your own pace made for a relaxed experience, and standing right there seeing the warehouse where so many classic TV moments happened was awesome. They also have a really neat gift shop stocked with great merchandise. If you're a fan of the show, you will definitely enjoy checking this spot out!

The young associate manning the front desk today was on her phone and didn't acknowledge us until my husband walked right up to the desk to buy tickets. She said tour didn't start until til 3 (it was ten minutes til), so he assumed he had to wait to pay when she said nothing further. When it was three minutes past he decided to ask again and she exclaimed she was waiting on him (we had no idea what we were waiting for!). Anyway, the tour is great! It was very cool to see pieces from the tv show and Sadie's costumes from a few dances on DWTS. We laughed when we saw the carved wooden statue of Willie (remembering the episode and how it went down!). At the end of the tour it has a few plaques writing about the new movie "The Blind" that came out last month. We got a Duck Picker duck call (for mallard hens) with our paid tickets and it can be taken apart to clean after blowing on it time and time again. Super neat to actually hear it in person instead of just on tv :)
