She checks me out and asks me to pick 3 magazines. I'm like ok whatever, she said I got two issues free, I said ok fine. I pay for what I purchased and she hands me a slip to sign. I'm like I used my debit card why do I need to sign? so I read the slip. They are sending my debit card info to the company that will be sending the magazines and it was an authorization to charge my card for the magazines. I said Um no I'm not signing that and I slid the paper back to her. She looked at me and Goes Ma'am you're gonna have to sign it. I looked at her and said Sweetheart I don't have to do a damn thing but pay taxes and die. The little front end dude comes over there and is like what's going on? she tells him and he goes well all you have to do is call and cancel before the two months is up and I said No, I don't want to do that. I will never remember to do that and it's inconvenient, when that was not explained to me from the very beginning. he goes well we can go ahead and call right now and cancel. I said Fine, go ahead and picked up my bag and walked out. So be careful if you plan to go to Books A Million anytime soon, the scams are out there. I won't be returning anytime soon, if ever.

They also took some slides that I found from my childhood and converted them to DVD. I told them they weren't for Christmas, but they completed them before Christmas and did an excellent job.

The staff were so friendly and immediately made us feel welcomed. The tour price is very reasonable--especially considering it includes a free duck call! Being able to explore at your own pace made for a relaxed experience, and standing right there seeing the warehouse where so many classic TV moments happened was awesome. They also have a really neat gift shop stocked with great merchandise. If you're a fan of the show, you will definitely enjoy checking this spot out!

The young associate manning the front desk today was on her phone and didn't acknowledge us until my husband walked right up to the desk to buy tickets. She said tour didn't start until til 3 (it was ten minutes til), so he assumed he had to wait to pay when she said nothing further. When it was three minutes past he decided to ask again and she exclaimed she was waiting on him (we had no idea what we were waiting for!). Anyway, the tour is great! It was very cool to see pieces from the tv show and Sadie's costumes from a few dances on DWTS. We laughed when we saw the carved wooden statue of Willie (remembering the episode and how it went down!). At the end of the tour it has a few plaques writing about the new movie "The Blind" that came out last month. We got a Duck Picker duck call (for mallard hens) with our paid tickets and it can be taken apart to clean after blowing on it time and time again. Super neat to actually hear it in person instead of just on tv :)
