Half of the walls had new dry wall, half had a textured paint with a finger painting design (from the former owner) and the ceilings had new dry wall to cover popcorn ceilings. Our dry wall guy left us with skim coating that had "fish eyes" or little bubbles throughout the walls and ceiling. Some of the drywall tape was puckered etc.  It took lots of skilled skim coating, sanding and painting to repair our walls and ceiling. Sloan Painting is a pleasure to work with. I recently called-in my paint order and still had to wait 45 minutes at the counter to get service on a Friday , just to pick up my paint. To add insult to injury, I spoke up in frustration as a number of people came in after me and were served while I was still waiting. I was basically okay to wait until this happened. My suggestion is for you folks to is use a ticketing system similar to what grocery store deli's use. it's extremely simple...or, the paint department counter person could simply ask "who is next?" Leaving your customer to self-manage when they get service is always bad business.

We were thinking of replacing the flooring with new engineered hardwood or having the flooring professionally refinished. After weighing both options we decided to have the floors refinished, ripping up the existing flooring and replacing it ended up being much too costly! We started looking for floor refinishing companies and one company stood out among all the ones that we checked out and it was "Grgurovic Hardwood Floors"!We were impressed with their Hepa Filtration Refinishing process and after watching a short YouTube clip on their website, we were sold! We absolutely love our new hardwood floors. Paul and his crew did an exceptional job. We couldn't…read morehave asked for more. We had the original 24 year old vinyl flooring in the open kitchen and bathroom/laundry (including the 1/4" underlayment). We also had carpet in a sitting room. Total area for new flooring was about 560 sq. ft. All of that was removed without any damage at all. We went with white oak to match what we already had in the foyer/hallway and adjacent dining room. Our existing hardwood was 2.25" wide (we kept that as is; didn't replace it), but we wanted wider 3.25" for the new hardwood. There were a lot of cuts to be made in the kitchen, but the workmanship was so good that you can't see any seams/gaps. A nice tight installation. Every room and closet was perfect. The new hardwood was snugly fit along every inch of all baseboards and under all door casings. The old/existing hardwood floors were refinished to perfectly match the new floors. Paul applied samples of four Bona stains that we selected to the new floor and then sealed them with Bona Intense sealer so that we could visualize the true colors in the room. We opted for Bona Nutmeg stain. The Bona Intense sealer makes the color of the stain come out more...richer tone. Then he applied Bona Traffic HD water-based finish, satin sheen. The job took 5-6 days. Paul also asked if we wanted to replace the dark brown metal floor registers with white oak registers that sit flush with the floor. That was a great idea that we had not even considered. Makes a big difference in the appearance. Paul provided the estimates mid-November, but we didn't want to have the job done until February. During that time, we exchanged numerous emails. Paul was very responsive each and every time and communication was clear. He and his crew are very professional and friendly. They are also very neat...never a mess or any debris left behind. It's a messy job, but the air filters really minimize any dust issues. We chose Paul over another person due to the great reviews he had and he seemed to be more personable and easier to work with. He seemed to be more of a craftsman and not just an installer. Great attention to detail. We definitely chose the right person for the job. We will definitely use him for any future flooring needs and would strongly recommend him to family and friends.

Six months later a crack showed up along what is obviously a joint between wallboard sections. Called the company and they did not initially respond. On a second call I was told that the company was not responsible, there was no guarantee and our only option was to repaint at full cost. They would not come and look. Recently we decided to change some wall mounted light fixtures. When we tried to remove the old ones we discovered they hadn't been removed during the painting, just painted around. The new fixtures we had purchased would have left unpainted surfaces showing and the whole wall would need repainting I would not use this company again and would advise anyone using to check the work thoroughly.

My experiences with Corriveau Painting have definitely been mixed. Exterior carpentry and painting…read moreof my residential home. Work was done in the fall of 2017 and the spring of 2018. So far, I have had no issue with quality of work, but only time will tell. However, I have had a lot of difficulty communicating with them as a business during both the estimation phase and the work phase. Phone calls go unreturned, promised return phone calls never happen, and sometimes people just don't show up. My biggest issue was with some carpentry work to repair rotten boards and trim in preparation for pressure washing and painting of the exterior of the house. They refused to give me any estimates for the work we discussed, they used very expensive materials in the repairs instead of the same materials that were being repaired, did not notify me about this or give me a choice, they were slow in doing the repairs and charged me way more labor hours than it should have taken. Their labor hours even included their lunch breaks. In the end, I was handed an invoice that was far beyond my expectations. Trying to negotiate a reasonable discount of 20% was like talking to a brick wall. Be very careful in dealing with Corriveau Painting and get estimates.
