Don't bother trying to rescue an animal from here they won't return your calls as every time you ask for a phone number to contact someone they won't give it out. They only go through emails and they never answer emails. I tried to adopt a pet a couple of months ago and they still won't tell me either way... I have excellent references my Vet and a wonderful home to give them but still nothing from them...... yes I realize they are all volunteers but she would think someone would take the time to try to find these animals a decent home. read more

Met a dog, foster made it impossible to find a time to pick him up. Rescue told me he got adopted out, to be placed in another rescue!!

This place is the worst. Let me start out by saying we had lost our dog 2 years prior from cancer. She was a beloved part of our family that I will never forget. I have consistently looked across the country to find a dog that looked like her. Up until this point I never found one that looked close. Many times I would stay up through the night looking at thousands of different dogs. I just want a dog that looks like her. She was my life. Due to the fact that she was a mix it has become very hard to find another dog that similar to her. Now to let you know what these horrible people did. First of all I found the picture at 3:30 in the morning and I immediately filled out the adoption application. After waiting a couple of days I emailed them to ask them if they receive the application and they said they did and that they would be reviewing it. They followed up asking for additional information which I immediately provided 2 times just to make sure they received it. After that they blew me off for a few days. When they finally responded they told me that she was being Spade and I would have to wait for her to recover. I immediately replied and thank them for getting back to me and please let me know when I would be able to come and get her. Then they blew me off for about four or five days saying they were in meetings and out of town. at that point they told me they would let me know when I would be able to come and get her. I told my family I had finally found a dog that looked like our beloved Kira and I would be going to get her. I was waiting for their call or email patiently. I emailed them no response I emailed them again no response. I started to get worried I found them on Facebook I message them on Facebook no response. I emailed them again and then finally they responded. They told me that there were other applications before mine and they were giving her to someone else and thanks for the application. A total lie I had been in contact with them at least 10 times and no mention of any other application ever came up. I emailed them back please do not do this to me I have been looking for this dog for two years. No response I emailed them again trying to explain further and still no response. This is a group of terrible heartless people that care absolutely nothing about other people. It's really a shame that animals are in the middle of this whole thing. I truly believe these people are just looking for money out of the whole situation. First of all their adoption fee is $400 which is much higher then most other places. Second of all there is no contact other than email they do have some phony phone number that doesn't work. If you want to find and adopt an animal please go somewhere else. They are horrible. read more
