I had just been to a groomer 3 weeks before this cut and they shampooed and washed him. and also spent hours combing out his hair before the appt. she absolutely would not take the time to do what I wanted. she told me how she was going go cut my dogs hair. then she charged me $115z. it look absolutely terrible. he was so cute and now he is shaved! read more

Been a customer for several years. And I know it is hard to find good help especially today with employees coming and going. Customer service and how one handles unusual are rude behaviors with less than friendly employees is management's department. We are all busy during working hours and we all are wanting for the most part to be some somewhere else. So at the end of the day , your customers count number #1 because your very existence depends on their allegiance. After taking my rescue dog to them for over 3 years I was informed that because she sits down once in a while, their policy is not to groom her anymore! She is 11 years old. This was at the Petsmart in the Dawley Village and the manager, whom I have never seen before, was very rude! I am very unhappy with Scott, the managerof the store on louise!!! On Monday 11/23/2020 I took my labradoodle, Chewy in to be groomed. This was the 2nd or 3rd time he had been there and all had gone well in the past. After his bath the groomer noticed he was devloping a rash on his back. They were concerned and tried to contact me. I was unavailable so they left a message asking that I call them, then took him to a local vet hospital. When I returned the call Scott, the store manager, told me that the vet said that my dog has a serious platelet disorder and needed urgent treatment, and to come pick him up right away. Needless to say I was very concerned since seriously low platelets can lead to uncontrolled internal bleeding and death. I asked what vet clinic he was at and Scott said he was back at Petsmart. I thought this was a little odd due to the severity of the condition. He then told me that the vet said that my dog would have to be groomed in a vet clinic under the guidance of a vet for the rest of his life and never be able to be groomed by a groomer again. I immediatly called my vet and informed her of the situation. She called the vet that had examined Chewy to discussed the prognosis to determine if he needed an immediate transfusion. Meanwhile, I picked up Chewy from Petsmart. The groomers were all concerned about him, but Scott was nowhere to be seen. When my vet called me back she said the vet that had done the exam had found a few petechiae spots in his mouth but nothing of significance and there was no immediate concern. What a relief! Just to be on the safe side though, my vet ran a blood panal on Chewy the following morning. The platelets were a little low but everything else looked great. Nothing a few vitamines won't take care of. Also, my vet said there is absolutly no reason why Chewy can not go to a groomer again, and she has a hard time believing that a vet would ever say anything like that. Scott is a real ass for making my think that my dog was about to die. Not only did he flat out lie to me about the severity of the situation he also totally shirked his responsibilities by not being there when I came to pickup Chewy. He should have been in the grooming salon to answer any additional question I had and not leave it up to the grooms. What if I would have been hysterical, after all Scott had lead me to believe that my dog was in a grave condition. Then the bullshit about having to be groomed by a vet really takes the cake. I cannot believe that a person of this poor quality is a Petsmart manager!!! This reflects extreamly poorly on Petsmart!! Scott should be fired!! As long as Scott works for Petsmart, I will never enter that store again and It is very unlikely that I will ever be a customer of any Petsmart again!!! I feel sorry for the employees that have to work with this asshole for if he treats his costomers this way I can imagine how he treats them! read more

I haven't had any major problems with the store (they usually don't have the friendliest cashiers anyway) but after today, I think I'll try Petco. An area I was looking at was badly stocked, many products were/are covered in a pretty good coating of dust and in a bit of disarray. The cashier, (hopefully the manager will read this) has pink hair (I have no problem with any hair color, this is for identifying use) and a rotten attitude. She was not even close to being friendly, she didn't thank me and when I thanked her she hardly looked at me and muttered something. Not sure if she said "yeah " or thanks ". She didn't even bother to hand me my bags. Losers like that have no right to be dealing with the public and shame on the person who hired her. Petco here I come. Usually pretty happy with this store but I tried to use the grooming services for the first time. Was in a few days prior asking about services. Was told they were full on appointments for awhile but they did walk-ins for nails and face trims and it was no problem when I came in. This was okay which is what I needed. Came into tonight and was told no, and I overheard the lady in the back whining that tomorrow was better. The first lady then told me not now, but they could get me tomorrow morning maybe. I said tomorrow maybe was not better for me and said no thanks and left. This was a horrible first impression and I doubt that I will try again. This also makes me question whether to continue shopping there at all, even though up to now I was a regular. read more

I take my Pit Bull (Dana) to the Grooming Salon every two weeks. The staff is always so great with her, I've never had any issues with BSL. Dana is the sweetest dog, and sometimes people prejudge her because of her breed. I've never had any problems with the gals in the grooming salon! They know us by name now and always seem excited to work with her. Dana loves Kaylee in particular, and the last time we were in I saw her resting her head on Kaylee's shoulder during her nail grind. Ordered online for pickup. 2 hours passed and my payment went through. In the email it says that your order is ready once your payment goes through. Well, my card was charged so I went to go pick it up and they didn't even have it ready. I had to go to work so the timing was super inconvenient for me. When I went inside, I had to wait in a line halfway to the back of the store. Once I got to a register they made me go find my order in the store by myself and decided to help the next customer instead. Me going inside defeats the purpose of ordering online and they made me feel like other customers were more important even when I waited patiently in line. Doesn't let people hold animals in need of love and affection! They had the basic animals, cats, dogs, a gecko, some birdies, guinea pigs they did have 1 skin guinea pig, but the stuff they had for said animals seemed to be overpriced, though they looked top quality, is small to what is expected. Staff in the other hand, I didn't get a name but she had an attitude about me asking to open the door to pet rescue cats and gave me a look after I walked back, shrugged after I was about to leave like I offended her culture of a PetsMart Employee for asking. Well I went back and had my dogs nails done and his backside done and it wasn't that much better than when I had complained. I'm grateful to the manager for caring and offering us another chance to get the services redone but face it, they just don't have a lot of good groomers. If they do it must be early in the day. If you want it done well then I wouldn't go after 5:00 pm because that's when they seem to have the slug workers that would rather party than earn a paycheck. I'll find somewhere else thanks.
