If periodontal disease had truly been present, it would not have gone unnoticed for 7 years of regular care. Periodontal disease doesn't magically appear overnight and suddenly require five-figure dentistry. The entire experience felt corporate, rushed, and sales-driven, not patient-centered. I also didn't feel confident that the assistants weren't positive of what they were doing. Just really still in pain and I can't get approved for any finance options so I feel like I'm just gonna have to suffer on these other 23,000 worth of work. That's a used car amount of money not something a national dentist office needs to maintain anything. They get plenty of business and the non insurance people get lured in with a cheap exam and then boom, your whole year in pay for the treatments.
