Unfortunately I don't get the great reviews. I ordered "fried shrimp". Perhaps I should have ordered the jumbo popcorn shrimp & I would feel differently. My shrimp were butterflied & flattened so that when they were fried they were overcooked, dry & tough. It seemed like there was too much cornmeal coating because of the large surface area. My S.O. had the grilled shrimp & flounder. His shrimp were small & overcooked. He enjoyed his flounder & thought the fried rice was good. Sorry, but I'd rather make the drive to Hamilton's or another area restaurant for excellent fried shrimp & onion rings. My fries were good, but had too much Cajun seasoned salt so they were way too salty. Perhaps some people enjoy heavily salted food. I do not. I do love spicy. Tracey was super friendly. In fact, so much so that I feel a bit guilty writing this review. Obviously she isn't hurting for business as the parking lot always has cars when we drive by. The restaurant was clean. There is mention that it was a Burger King. I would think that some of the furnishings have been replaced/redone. There was some colorful vinyl that looked new. The inside was fine to me. I personally enjoy paying less for food vs. more for a more upscale atmosphere. The food is what matters to me. read more

Clean, Well seasoned crawfish and sides included.. I was only in town for a visit, but I would definitely return.

Excellent place for seafood. First, though, don't go for the ambience: it's an old Burger King (that is still embossed on the doors). Go for the food, which is outstanding. I had the cajun shrimp, and it made two meals: a dozen jumbo shrimp with shrimp fried rice and salad. The shrimp were delicious, and for what you get, the price is great. read more

Went to rock and crab order a fish no shrimp Poboy sandwich. It was slow that day hardly nobody in there. It took them 30 minutes before I receive my food and y'all to go cups with the drinks y'all need to make them larger for the price that you pay black and crab in Port Arthur Texas just opened up. As we sat in the booth awaiting our feast of grilled shrimp and red snapper, a steady line of customers came in and the phone rang consistently with take out orders. This place is busy for a reason. Our grilled seafood, ordered "a little spicy," was perfectly prepared. It had just a little grill crust on it so I didn't second-guess myself about not ordering fried. Hubby got fries with his meal but the 99 cents I paid to substitute shrimp fried rice was worth every penny and more. Without a lot of frills, that fried rice made the most of the little shrimp and white rice--I ate every grain. The platter also came with dressed head lettuce and a slice of white bread. Hubby also enjoyed a bowl of gumbo, rich with veggies, shrimp and sausage. A thousand other options fill the menu so just about anyone could find something to love here. Tracy herself took our order, and she was great. We didn't wait too long. Now, if you're looking for ambiance, well, Tracy is making the most of a former fast food establishment, so that might explain the abundance of take-our orders, but we didn't mind the utilitarian surroundings (much like Port Arthur itself). read more

Omg! Where has this place been all of my life? Now, we have spots like this in the DFW area and this place down here in Port Arthur ranks right up there with them. Going in I didn't know what to get because the menu is HUGE but went with the number 19, which is the large order of Jumbo popcorn shrimp and 1 fish fillet. It also comes with a side salad, bread, and French fries but I got shrimp fried rice instead for 99 cents extra. Hubby got the 11 which is the Jumbo tempura shrimp and it also came with a salad, bread, and he got fried rice as well. The portions are HUMONGOUS and worth every penny. We literally could have shared a plate but we know next time and trust me, there will be a next time because this place is awesome. Please check out the pics and you will see. Ordered to-go for lunch today and was pleasantly surprised...this place is like a much better version of JV's seafood...which means I'll probably never return to JV's...the shrimp are very good and, as opposed to that other restaurant, the fried rice is and excellent choice for a side...also the Vietnamese egg rolls are delicious...the prices are good too...definitely gonna be one of my new lunch spots! read more

The food is your average fried seafood joint. Good, but the drink selections is terrible. The shining star is the home made Vietnamese eggrolls. They are crispy, and flavorful. If you want seafood and your in the area definitely check it out, but it's not located in the best part of town so go in the day time. read more

Horrible. So greasy both of us were sick all night. They had no drinking water and then tried to extort us for $1 bottle of water. Water should be free. If it is not healthy it is your responsibility to clean it. I don't want sugar, caffeine, and other poison. Water with lemon, that is what I drink at home not just being stingy with my money. On that note a 2 person lunch cost $20. I can get 15 Jr. Woppers for $20. Never Again read more
