I was traveling for work in the area and this became my go to spot. This seafood is reminiscent of old school Port Arthur fresh seafood. The salt and pepper shrimp tho! Ok so this place isn't much to look at from the outside and my fiancé almost turned the car around in the parking lot to find somewhere else to eat but I'm so glad we decided to stay and try it! There weren't any cars when we pulled up but while we were eating at least a dozen different groups came in for to-go orders. Try the salt and pepper shrimp - you won't be disappointed. I've eaten a lot of shrimp in my day prepared on a lot of different ways and the salt and pepper seasoning is new and wonderful. If I'm every back in Port Arthur, I'm coming back here - I want to try the salt and pepper wings! read more

Been meaning to review this place for awhile as it is the Best seafood in the golden triangle and ive been going here since 2005. Been to every other similar place in the area and no-one compares. Everything they make is top notch from the Fried Rice dishes to the salt n pepper chicken/shrimps. I would also recommend trying to make it there before 2 on a weekday to catch their hot plates. read more

Do not judge book by cover. This place is clean and the food is amazing. They lightly fry the seafood. The batter is amazing. Salt and pepper shrimp or chicken wings, amazing. Fried fish is light and not fishy tasting. Great service. I have been there three times waiting for something to complain about but every visit was great. You have at least to try it once. They have a buffet I have not tried yet but I am sure it is good. They really take pride in what they do. read more

Arriving in Port Arthur I got on line to fine good seafood. We found Gulf Coast Seafood. Wow! Great place to eat. When we pulled up the setting is more of a stand alone storefront. It is pretty devoid of atmosphere. You order at a counter and then take a seat. I got the salt and pepper shrimp which was amazingly good. My wife had the butterfly shrimp which was also really good. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for really great seafood. read more

Some of the best salt and pepper shrimp in the area, the Chinese food a little to much soy for me but everyone else in my office loves it.

After 5 hours on the road we arrived at @1 pm and I selected the medium plate from the steam table. Had the Kung Pao chicken and beef with broccoli. First time I ever had Kung Pao chicken with jalapenos. The beef with broccoli recipe they used must not have called for oyster sauce because there was none in it. Beef with broccoli without oyster sauce is not beef with broccoli. Based on the appearance of the food in the steam table, my wife opted for an a la carte order of beef with broccoli. Her special order of beef with broccoli appeared better but tasted just like mine from the steam table. The fried rice that came with her order had a taste like no other she had had in the past. According to my wife, the unisex bathroom was terrible, not just because she had to lower the dirty toilet seat, but because she couldn't wash her hands in the stopped up lavatory. We won't be going back to see if things improve. read more
