I usually love shopping here aside from the fact that their bread is always almost expired and their produce leaves little to be desired but when I went to check out the guy treated me like I was covered in boils or something. I've shopped here during Covid and yes, they've been very cautious throughout (a little obsessive honestly) but today I was the only customer that was checking out that was asked to stand practically near the aisle while others were standing in front of the register. If this is a rule, all employees should be made to follow it. If it's because the employee is that afraid of Covid, at this point, he should look into something else. It was embarrassing. read more

I rarely go to this Trader Joes but when I'm out here and need a quick grocery stop this is my place! It's a decently sized location that never gets too crowded from what I've noticed--the Brentwood one can be mayhem! They have the same stuff every other T-joes has: amazing treats, random popcorn flavors, a million different cheap wines, yummy cheese, and overly friendly staff. read more

Very friendly staff! I especially appreciated the woman who was working on samples by the fresh baked bread. She and I discussed (at length) flavor profiles associated with my plan to smoke a leg of lamb tomorrow. She really cared that I leave happy and asked me to wait while she dove into the back to find some recipes from some other employee who really enjoyed cooking up samples and creating recipes for their customers. Also really liked their small assortment of fresh baked breads and settled on an asiago sourdough. I found it interesting that checker mentioned to me that was his favorite bread for grilled cheese sandwiches. Trader Joe's has been a favorite grocery of mine for a long time, but especially when I'm looking to eat healthy. I recently tried the roasted garlic hummus with baby carrots. My-oh-my. So delicious! I make TJ's a part of my weekly errands... and I am never disappointed with the quality of the goods I pick up at this store. The produce does rotate, and it is sad not to find something you're looking for, but at the same time, it's great that you know everything is in it's peak of freshness. Happy Shopping! read more

I'm not going to review Trader Joe's in general, since if you've been there, you know, and if you haven't... well stop reading right now and go shop! The people who work at this location, however, have great senses of humor. For example, I was buying wine, and needed a corkscrew to go with it. They only had the "waiter-style" corkscrews. Me: Excuse me, do you have any other kinds of corkscrews? TJ's Employee: What kind are you looking for? Me: The kind with the hairy armpits. TJE: Oh! A flying nun! Me: yeah! TJE: Sorry, we don't carry any of those. Me: Well, I need to get this bottle open, so I guess I'll get the kind you do have. 5 stars for anyone who doesn't bat an eyelash when I ask them for a corkscrew with hairy armpits. However, I'm taking 1 star off because apparently Missouri TJ's don't carry hard liquor, and I miss the Monopolova vodka I used to get at the TJ's in California. read more

I will start by saying that I'm a huge fan of Trader Joe's. I could literally spend all day there. I have learned that Trader Joe's is a great store for certain items but I've also realized that certain items are best bought elsewhere. If you're in the market for some good cheap wine or excellent, inexpensive cheese then you can't beat TJ's. Trader Joe's hummus is unbeatable as well. The employees are great. Everyone is helpful and cheerful. A few other items that I've found are excellent to purchase at TJ's are vitamins and supplements, frozen foods (the edamame rocks!), chocolates, raisins, trail mix, nut and grains, and organic items. Here's the negative. Twice in a row I've gotten home with meat items that have not been fresh. A month or so ago I purchased some salmon that literally stunk up my whole kitchen when I opened it, and the other day I purchased some chicken breasts which were edible but certainly not as fresh as they should've been. I'll stick with Mannino's Market in Cottleville for meat and Dierberg's for my seafood. Also, Dierberg's produce seems to be much fresher as well. In summary, if you know what to expect out of Trader Joe's it's great. Just realize that it is not going to be the best place for a one-stop shop for all of your food shopping. read more

I have never had a bad experience at this trader joes. The workers are friendly and helpful, both around the store and at check out. The food selection is amazing, and the prices are unbeatable. The individually wrapped kettle corn snack bags are my favorite for a quick snack at work. The dried fruit options are also very extensive. This store carries a lot of specialty foods and is great for when guests come over too! They have a great variety of vegetarian and vegan food options that most places do not carry. Even the alcohol prices are competitive and are generally a better variety and cheaper than most other stores. There are some brands I've Never heard of but am excited to try! All in all, this store is just fun! I could spend hours here and be totally satisfied. read more

Just came in for the second time to grab some groceries and had the BEST employee help me! His name was Zach. He went above and beyond for me today and it really made my day. I've had a bad week so it was nice to end it that way. He made suggestions on things to get, grabbed me a cart, and even gave me a sample of a cookie butter item to try out. He didn't have to do any of that yet he did I really appreciate it. read more

The employee's here are always friendly and eager to help you find something. I have never had a problem with not being able to find something with a simple question, or find that something is sold out, which is very rare. The store is always clean. I almost died when I first saw this Trader Joe's. This was my absolute favorite store while living in Santa Cruz, CA and I was unaware that they had one out here. They have a great selection of healthy and organic groceries along with an amazing staff. I love how you can find so many unique items that regular grocery stores would never have. Trader Joe's, no matter which city you're in, are always so cheerful and easy to shop in. I am a huge fan of their private labels and their cheese prices are not to be believed! Good good good. The small but well rounded wine selection is so thoughtful. I prefer bone dry or at least not all oak or sugar and they have a lot of nice dry whites. This is my "normal" Trader Joe's. I'm here at least once a week. Is this a one stop shopping store...probably for a meal or two, but one stop, probably not. However, I keep coming back and back and back. I have certain things I buy here that are staples in my kitchen...orange chicken (frozen), chicken fried rice (frozen), bananas (.19 each no matter the size), artesian garlic bread, garlic hummus....and more. Lots of great items here but what's better is the service. The men and women who work here seem happy to be at work. They are friendly and actually seem to bring their personality to work...that's a good thing. Those at the checkout are engaging and everyone is willing to check the back for items not on shelf, the computer to find when missing items might come in and actually walk you to products and not just point. Think something looks interesting but not sure if you are willing to pay the price to try at home...well, you're in luck. Anything that is ready to eat or drink, the employees will happily open for you to try right in the store. Even wine! Don't be shy. If grocery shopping can be fun, this is the place. read more

What's not to love about Trader Joe's? I do have to disclaim that I do have access to the inside scoop and am slightly biased of this TJ's because a family member works here. First off, some basics about TJ's: -Their return policy is under utilized. If you do not like a product, even after opening it and you threw away the receipt, you can still return it for a refund or exchange - just let a staffer know when you are checking out and they will take your word for it. They do this to encourage the customer to try new things without the risk of commitment. -If you want to sample something new, ask a staffer if they will open it for you to sample it - they usually will. Ever wanted to know what those dried ginger bit are and if they will burn your throat or be delightful? -The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The staff is what sets this grocery store above other grocery stores. They are a wealth of information for dinner ideas, creative ways to use TJ projects and help make that next meal or event a success. -The company takes good care of their employees and it shows. -The prices are reasonable since most of what they sell is private label. Some staples are more expensive, such as milk, while others, such as bananas, are cheaper than the standard grocery stores. They randomly have "opportunity buys" which are great values to stock up on things such as bell peppers when they come by. They don't have sales because they strive to offer the lowest prices every day; I appreciate that they don't do gimmicks to get me in the door. Specific to this store, the store is underutilized and so there is a plethora of space, which makes a nicer shopping experience compared to other TJ's. There is a large selection of fruits/veggies and wine/beer. The freezer and boxed goods are standard fair. read more

This is the best Trader Joes. We used to go to the Des Peres location which is nice as well. But this one actually has a lot more space inside regardless of how it may feel. It seems like all Trader Joes have a space problem in the store and parking lots. Anyway try to come at off hours if you can. Like when they first open on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Otherwise go expecting crowded lots and aisles. read more

Great value and extremely good food. Tonight I bought the vesy best corned beef (without chemicals) and we had it for dinner. It was delish. They have the most beautiful fresh flowers around too. They are a real bargain. A huge bunch of daffodils are $1.49. They also have a wide array of cheeses and wines. So worth the trip there. read more

Trader Joe's is one of my favorite places to shop because it has great food, and I just feel like the quality is better then a normal store. You can also get great things from different parts of the world too. They may be a little pricey, but I feel like it's totally worth the money you spend for great quality! OH MY! This was my first visit to a Trader Joe's and I have to say wowza! I'm hooked now. Such a great variety of healthy foods and the prices were cheaper than Walmart on dozens of items!! I found seedless black raisins, the best quality raisins I've ever had, and they were cheaper than the sun maid at Walmart which aren't even half the size and freshness. I got a Trader Joe brand dark chocolate bar (2 bars in a box) for $1.69. I've paid more than that for a Hershey bar that doesn't even come close to the quality and taste. If you haven't been to a Trader Joe's run, don't walk, now! read more

TJ's is the best! I have several items that I buy on a regular basis and always enjoy trying something new. Around the holidays they carry specialty items that are just available at that time which is fun. They also carry the candle tins in scents that change throughout the year. The staff is always so friendly, the prices are great and their return policy can't be beat. I have been to this Trader Joe's only once and I don't plan on ever coming back. But it's not them, it's me. See, I stopped here on a cross-country drive to move myself, my fiance, and our two cats from San Francisco to Boston. We were craving some road snacks and took a break from driving to pick some up here. Immediately we were impressed by how big and uncrowded the store is compared to the ones in San Francisco. Our clerk was super nice and helpful, too. But the main reason they get five stars from me is that a few hours after our visit I got a phone call telling me that someone had found a collar with my phone number on it in the parking lot. One of our cats had tried to escape from the car and her collar had slipped off and fallen out the door. When I told the woman we were hundreds of miles away already she immediately offered to mail me the collar. And now I have yet another reason to love Trader Joe's. read more

Kind of a small store but most Trader Joe's are relatively small. Good prices, clean stores and good products.
