Five stars for everything except location, Woodruff Road, so I have to go mid-morning to avoid traffic headaches. However, they do have the best selection and prices on fresh flowers. They also cater to the semi-prepared, frozen meals (as in minimal cooking required) selections but do have good organic fresh meats as well as an excellent fresh produce department. This is the kind of store where you could do all of your shopping, but many come here for certain items. Also, did I mention the affordable wine (Charles Shaw, aka "Two Buck Chuck")? But it's not $2 anymore, still a good deal. Customer service is ample, helpful and fun/upbeat. Ring the bell for recognition of excellent service. Ambiance is casual, but "fresh" with a lot of items and specialty items in a smaller space. They do this by mostly carrying only their own store brands, which are typically unique and higher end of quality and value. read more

What's not to love about Trader Joe's? For starters, help is EVERYWHERE. If you are looking for a worker, they are on every aisle and always ready to go above and beyond to find what you need or answer questions. Next, the potato chips alone are reason enough to go there. What's so special about plain potato chips? Well, if you don't know, then you just haven't tried them yet. Some of my other favorites are the sun dried tomatoes in oil and fresh flour tortillas. My daughter loves the section of dried fruits, especially the mangos. And why no on else can make salted pecans taste as good as TJs? I'll never know. If you love succulents or other plants, they've got em! If you love healthier snack foods - look no further. And when you are finished shopping, check out is a BREEZE - there are so many registers open and the workers are generally friendly and helpful. I even love the bags - brown paper bags with solid handles. Now, if only we could get a Trader Joe's in Travelers Rest so we don't have to go to Woodruff Road! That will be the day :-) read more

One of the few Trader Joe's in the region, and thus a destination. The selection wasn't the biggest I've ever seen in such a store, and I notably failed to find the croutons and the precooked Thai noodles I liked and they were out of arugula, but there was plenty else worthy buying. Moreover, the shopping experience was good, and despite the crowds I had no wait to check out, a testament to TJ's reliably excellent procedures. And the prices were much better than the Whole Foods down the street, for not a whole lot worse selection in my view. read more

I mean, it's Trader Joe's...solid reputation and this location did not disappoint. I so wish we had a location near us. Food Selection - amazing produce, spices, snacks, and phenomenal premade frozen meals. I stocked up on the "Everyhting but the bagel" seasoning. Wine Selection - Similar quantity to a larger grocery store selection but there are some gems here. Famous for their 2-buck Chuck (Charles Shaw wine), which I see is up to $4.50 Chuck. The quality for that price is what makes it legendary. Staff - super friendly and helpful. One employee spent time to help me find some gluten free options for my daughter. I was in Greenville recently on a work trip, and this Trader Joe's was close to my hotel- a pleasant surprise when I wanted some snacks for the evening. Trader Joe's stores all have a local flavor, and this one's no different. The signs have the names of different towns in the area, such as Simpsonville, Traveler's Rest, etc. If those signs don't make you feel welcome, the courteous staff will. The workers I encountered all asked if I needed help, the checkouts weren't crowded, and the store has a large parking lot. The groceries are typical TJs fare, but I was able to get what I needed (Joe Joe's cookies!). Thanks Trader Joe's! read more

I am a huge fan of TJ. This location is in a major thoroughfare of major intersections and large stores, so add time for traffic. It is tucked behind a gas station (Speedway?) and near Home Depot and Target. I went once at 11 AM and 3 PM and it was bustling. Both times, after checkout, there was a line to enter. Hence not the full stars I normally give to this chain. All staff were friendly. I picked up a new offering, Ethiopian shade grown coffee beans. Not as good as their previous limited edition. This one is a darker roast, still good but not as fruit forward. As usual I picked up a case of wine and a selection of cheeses. I forgot how decadently good triple brie is. Trader Joe's is such a unique store. The prices are great! The layout of the store can make it difficult to find things if you're unfamiliar with Trader Joe's. There are colorful, eye catching signs throughout the store listing various deals. They have a nice selection of wine and beer. They have fresh assortments of flowers. The protein bars are much cheaper than at big box stores. This location even has a small selection of skin care--moisturizers and lotions. It's a great store to browse--you can definitely find deals. I love Trader Joe's. Everything you get here is good. Right now they have their fall items out and I am loving it. The staff are very nice and helpful. I just wish the building itself was a little bigger. Its a small store and since it's a popular store it can get easily crowded. But, everyone gets their things and gets out quickly which is nice. I think we all have that mentality right now when shopping anyway because of covid. I love all their seasonal items right now. I just got pumpkin everything and it all tastes great! read more

I do notice that they are carrying a larger selection of organic foods than in the past, a necessity for keeping up with the times. My wife loves their jellies and jams and marmalades. She likes that they contain real sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. I buy olive oil and wine (great prices) among other things. I'm glad TJ's is there. It offers a nice alternative to Whole Foods which is just up the street. Both are great grocers in their own right, but they are very different. Recommend. read more

I've really come to love this store lately. I'm on an apple kick, and their Jazz apples are the best. If you want to ensure you won't get a mushy apple, purchase a bag of these and enjoy! I also love the variety of pre-made dinner options and unique frozen food items. I dislike cooking for the most part, so shopping here makes lunch and dinner decisions much easier. Here are a few reasons why Trader Joe's is the best: * They have a taste-it-before-you-buy-it policy, meaning you can ask to sample something you aren't sure of before you make the purchase. I did this with their almond mozzarella cheese - most soy/dairy-free cheese I've tried has been terrible, but this stuff is actually really good! I buy several bags at a time now to make dairy-free pizza and other meals at home. * They have some amazing frozen food. I know how to cook so I don't buy a lot of frozen food, but with some of their products I can't help it. Their pork dumplings, for example, are a staple in my freezer. $3.99 for a bag of dumplings for 3 servings, I cook rice at home and use this as an easy, cheap, and delicious meal probably once a week. Some other favorites from the frozen section: chicken fried rice, orange chicken, belgian waffles, and their potato cakes. * You can get plenty of meals for less than $4. The most expensive meal I make from Trader Joe's is when I buy naan, gyro meat, tzatziki, and feta cheese, which is still maybe $12-14 and makes 4-5 gyros. Also their tzatziki-cucumber dip is great for gyros. * Cookie butter. It will change everything. * They have a newsletter with updated products and recipes! * No plastic bags * Really incredible desserts and beer/wine selection, all at low prices * I buy as much as possible dairy-free and they have a lot of options. They even gave printed guides at the front of the store that list out their vegan and gluten-free products. There isn't much to dislike about this store. If you're looking for a very specific name-brand item, this store isn't going to be helpful. But, if you can come without a shopping list, just look for a few things to try out and I'll bet you get as hooked as I have. read more

Ok I've heard a lot about the variety and uniqueness of the items carried in this place but nothing truly inspired me to go until today. Seeking something off the beaten path we decided to shop here. First impression is everything and the entry way sets the tone of the employee engagement and friendliness of the staff. Lots of recognition and tributes celebrating their milestones outside of work. That's says a lot about their organization and taking care of their human capital as business America would state it. Good produce selection priced reasonably and not that weigh and pray moment at the checkout counter. Most veggies and produce price per item( a plus) so it minimizing the guess work. Lots of milk variety and every type of water imaginable if you're into the health and wellness world. The isle were clean and the veggies were healthy. Seeking the unique like broccoli chips and pre cooked garlic herb Brussels sprouts or imagine isles if gluten free products for those seeking alternatives for health reasons. It's an adventurous palette paradise. I'd highly recommend a visit. And the staff of yeah! Attentive and responsive as I definitely needed help locating items on my list. The cashier was great and comical as laughter soothes the soul. I'll will be back by the end of the week as I've found another retail location to shop. Lots of local flare giving homage to the local area and universities. It's like a hometown family filled grocery store for the laid back. Not that oh heck I must stop by the the store to pick up dinner feel. The only negative is PARKING!!! Located on one of the BUSIEST business streets in Greenville know that it's an obstacle course but the atmosphere of the store melts away that tension hopefully. Let me start by saying I'm a fan of Trader Joe's. I wasn't that impressed with this location. Now, these stores vary fro market to market. So, I went in looking for a hair conditioner that I'd purchased before at the Charlotte location. This conditioner is Peppermint and it makes your scalp feel amazing. I walked in and the store's beauty section was way smaller than I expected. They had a section of the aisle. Not even the entire aisle. Luckily, what I was looking for was there, but I was really looking forward to grabbing some more haircare goodies. The stock was limited and a staffer at the location said it really depends on what the customers buy that drives their inventory. That's understandable. So, next time I'll hit up my Columbia, SC location in hopes of a different experience. read more

Trader Joe's is my all time favorite grocery store, and I like grocery shopping ALOT! I've shopped at other natural/organic grocers, but no one beats the prices and hospitality at TJ's. I also love its location on Woodruff since I live off of Woodruff and am always driving up and down it multiple times a day. A few of my favorites are the bulk nut selections (esp raw varieties), their whole wheat pizza dough, pesto, honey wheat pretzels, awesome ice cream selection (love the s'more cookies right now) and their oatmeal honey soap (yum)! This was by far one of the cleanest TJ's I've been to. The help was very helpful and friendly. I went later in the evening, so the sample guy kept coming back to me and my friend giving us more samples. I do not have a TJ's in my area, so I always go in and stock up on a lot of special items my family likes, and there were in the alcohol dept. many things gone and out of stock. THAT was a bummer, but the help there just kinda makes you forget about that. This is a brand new location and 'm glad I checked it out. read more

This TJ's location is pretty fabulous. The store is not overly cramped and is easy to navigate through. And it doesn't matter which TJ's store I go to, the staff always seems friendly and willing to help you out. As is the usual for TJs, many of the products they sell are higher quality than the average store and often the same price or cheaper. I think they particularly have great deals on eggs, dairy products, cheese, coffee, nuts/trail mix, beer and wine. Many of their beer brands are high quality and cost less than other brands. Personally, their Stockyard Oatmeal Stout is as good as Guinnness and significantly cheaper. Their Trader Jose beer is better and cheaper than Corona, at least in my opinion. You can get some great bottles of wine here for less than $10, with some as cheap as even $6 or $7. While I'm not a huge fan of Four-Buck-Chuck (their Charles Shaw brand, which actually costs $4 a bottle), it's not bad, especially for their price. I know a lot of people who love it. If you are not much of a cook or you are just looking for some quick food, Trader Joe's has a fabulous selection of pre-made dinners in the deli area or frozen aisle. Some of them are affordable, some are a little pricey. You can get just about anything, from Asian, Italian, and Mexican. They make some pretty tasty read-to-cook pizza dough. You can also get fresh meat and frozen seafood here, but beware, these are a little pricey. Most of them, however, are hormone free and as natural as they can get. One final warning - this place has plenty of parking, but sometimes it is deceptive because it gets crazy busy. If you want to avoid the crowds, I suggest coming early. read more

AVOID THAT SEAWEED!! If you are in the area and need to stock up on provisions, this is a great option!. This appears to be a new store and it is certainly conveniently located on a major shopping strip. It is very similar to the Georgia stores except the aisles are larger, (good move) and it is open until 9pm on Sunday. This is a great place to find healthier snacks, fruit juice, adventurous snacks such as roasted seaweed and great produce. By the way, the roasted seaweed is absolutely disgusting! Don't do it! Just stick with the proven snacks and you'll be fine. read more
