Note that for the most part the 5 star reviews you see are from many years ago and the poor reviews are more recent. Prices have also risen. I do my own taxers now for a fraction of the cost.

He's absolutely wonderful as a lawyer and as a person. My father had a serious accident on the job and the worker's compensation insurance company illegally denied my father's claim. Due to the severity of my father's injury, they knew it would cost them millions to provide my father's care, so they denied my father's claim illegally to see if we'd simply go away. (They sent a letter of denial without a reason - which is illegal) Basically, some people receive that denial letter, give up on their claim not knowing they're being defrauded and go away (and most likely become financially ruined). Even though this is illegal, it makes sense for the insurance company to do this, because it saves them a ton of money and if all goes well, they can get away Scott free. My father was in the ICU fighting for his life when we got this denial letter, so you can imagine mine and my mother's despair. I knew the profit-driven American Healthcare System was broken, but I didn't know just how dirty the insurance companies play until I had to deal with them. A family friend, who is also a client of Mr Dillon, had recommended him to me and I don't think I could have chosen a better lawyer. The minute he saw that letter he told me it was illegal and took the case. Even with the best worker's comp lawyer on the case, the insurance dragged my family through the mud the next year and a half fighting every penny. During this ordeal, Mr. Dillon helped my family deal with our situation both legally and mentally, which I (and my parents) will be forever grateful. And yes, we won the case. The judge even punished the insurance company for that illegal letter they sent us. My whole family felt she lacked empathy and was overall arrogant, condescending, and patronizing, which is especially surprising given the sensitive emotional nature of estate planning. Instead of making my parents and our family feel at ease, she made us feel stupid and talked down to. She would often laugh at our questions and was adversarial. I think she has some kind of complex about her own worth or value because when we asked for basic pricing information, she would get upset and say that she was offering a lot of value... without actually answering the question. It's very simple - when people are paying for a service, they should be allowed to ask how much the service costs. In the end, she was so terrible that we finally abandoned the whole process and moved forward with another attorney. Worst attorney we've ever interacted with and ended up wasting a lot of our time. She would greatly benefit from some emotional intelligence classes.
